Speaking of 80's...
You may be right I may be crazy But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for Turn out the lights Don't try to save me You may be wrong, for all I know, but you may be right
((Billy Joel- You May be Right Not really a love song, but charming nevertheless.))

Yup, always been a big Billy Joel fan, know almost all of them by heart, and that one is a great song as well.
Friday night I crashed your party Saturday I said I'm sorry Sunday came and trashed me out again I was only having fun wasn't hurting anyone and we all enjoyed the weekend for a change I was stranded in the combat zone I walked to Bedford-Stuye alone Even rode my motorcycle in the rain And you told me not to drive but I made it home alive so you said that only proves that I'm insane
(Chorus smile You may be right I may be crazy but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for Turn out the light don't try to save me You may be wrong for all I know but you may be right
Remember how I found you there? Alone in your electric chair I told you dirty jokes until you smiled You were lonely for a man I said take me as I am 'cause you might enjoy some madness for awhile Now think of all the years you tried to find someone to satisfy you I might be as crazy as you say If I 'm crazy then it's true that it's all because of you and you wouldn't want me any other way
You may be right I may be crazy but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for It's too late to fight It's too late to change me You may be wrong for all I know you may be right

((hehe, the only 80s song that I really know, and deeply heart ... well this one and Sweet Dreams))
Sometimes I feel I've got to run away I've got to get away From the pain you drive in the heart of me The love we share Seems to go nowhere And I've lost my light I toss and turn I can't sleep at night
Once I ran to you Now I run from you This tainted love you've given I gave you all a boy could give you Take my tears and that's not nearly all Tainted love
Now I know I've got to run away I've got to get away Don't really want anymore from me To make things right You need someone to hold you tight And you think love is to pray But I'm sorry, I don't pray that way
Once I ran to you Now I run from you This tainted love you've given I gave you all a boy could give you Take my tears and that's not nearly all Tainted love Tainted love
Don't touch me please I cannot stand the way you tease I love you though you hurt me so So now I pack my things and go
Touch me baby, tainted love Touch me baby, tainted love Touch me baby, tainted love
Once I ran to you Now I run from you This tainted love you've given I gave you all a boy could give you Take my tears and that's not nearly all Tainted love Tainted love Tainted love
((Tainted Love- Eurhythmics... sorry if the lyrics are off but I only have Manson's cover of it right now))

((This is my fave Billy Joel song..though it's more a love song from a parent to a child, it still kinda fits...ok, not really, but oh well. xd ))
((Lullabye (Goodnight, my angel) -- Billy Joel))
Goodnight, my angel Time to close your eyes And save these questions for another day I think I know what you've been asking me I think you know what I've been trying to say I promised I would never leave you And you should always know Wherever you may go No matter where you are I never will be far away Goodnight, my angel Now it's time to sleep And still so many things I want to say Remember all the songs you sang for me WHen we went sailing on an emerald bay ANd like a boat out on the ocean I'm rocking you to sleep THe water's dark And deep inside this ancient heart You'll always be a part of me Goodnight, my angel Now it's time to dream And dream how wonderful your life will be Someday your child may cry And if you sing this lullabye Then in your heart There will always be a part of me Someday we'll all be gone But lullabyes go on and on... They never die That's how you And I Will be

Yup, another good one sweetie. Erm, Dez, Soft Cell did Tainted Love, not the Eurythmics... Another favorite from the '80s...
If you believe in the power of magic I can change your mind And if you need to believe in someone turn and look behind
There we were living in a dream world Clouds got in the way We gave it up in a moment of madness and threw it all away...
(Chorus smile Don't answer me Don't break the silence Don't let me win
Don't answer me Stay on your island Don't let me in
Run away and hide from everyone Can we change the things we've said and done?
If you believe in the power of magic It's all a fantasy And if you need to believe in someone Just pretend its me
Bad enough that we meet as strangers I can't set you free So will you turn your back forever On what you mean to me?
(repeat chorus x2)

((And now for the love song I get many compliments when I sing (this and the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B...lol) and one I love a whole bunch (but not as much as I love my sweetie 4laugh ) is "The Rose" as sung by Bette Midler, and yes, sweetie, I actually typed this one out by hand, instead of my usual copy and paste method xd ))
Some say love, it is a river That drowns the tender reed. Some say love, it is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed. Some say love, it is a hunger, An endless aching need. But I say love, it is a flower, And you it's only seed.
It's the heart, afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance. It's the dream, afraid of waking, That never takes the chance. It's the one, who won't be taken Who cannot seem to give. And the soul, afraid of dying, that cannot learn to live.
When the night has been too lonely, And the road has been too long And you think that love is only For the lucky and the strong, Just remember, in the winter, Far beneath the bitter snow, Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, In the the spring becomes the rose.

((Decided to post another love song, just cause i was thinking about it before I fell asleep on the phone with Draco this morning. whee ))
(Save the Best for Last - Vanessa Williams)
Sometimes the snow comes down in June Sometimes the sun goes round the moon I see the passion in your eyes Sometimes it's all a big surprise
Cause there was a time when all I did was wish You'd tell me this was love It's not the way I hoped or how I planned But somehow it's enough
But now we're standing face-to-face Isn't this world a crazy place Just when I thought our chance had passed You go and save the best for last
All of the nights you came to me When some silly girl had set you free I wondered how you'd make it through I wondered what was wrong with you
Cause how could you give your love to someone else And share your dreams with me Sometimes the very thing you're looking for Is the one thing you can't see
Sometimes the snow comes down in June Sometimes the sun goes round the moon Just when I thought our chance had passed You go and save the best for last

((Another love song I've had stuck in my mind lately...))
(Firehouse - When I see you smile)
Sometimes I wonder how I'd ever make it through, through this world without having you. I just wouldn't have a clue. 'Cause sometimes it seems like this world is closing in on me, and there's no way of breaking free, and then I see you reach for me
Sometimes I want to give up, wanna give in, I wanna quit the fight, and then I see you baby, and everything's alright. Everything's alright
(Chorus) When I see you smile I can face the world Oh you know I can do anything When I see you smile See a ray of light Oh see it shining right through the rain When I see you smile Baby when I see you smile at me.
Oh yeah
Baby there's nothing in this world that could ever do what the touch of your hand can do it's like nothing that I ever knew.
Hey
And when the rain is falling I don't feel it 'Cause you're here with me now I want to answer baby It's all I'll ever need. It's all I'll ever need
(Chorus) When I see you smile I can face the world Oh you know I can do anything When I see you smile I see a ray of light Oh I see it shining right through the rain When I see you smile baby Baby when I see you smile at me.
Sometimes I want to give up, I wanna give in, I wanna quit the fight, then one look at you baby, and everything's alright. Hey Everything's alright so right
(Chorus) When I see you smile I can face the world Oh you know I can do anything yeah When I see you smile I see a ray of light Oh I see it shining right through the rain Yeah When I see you smile Yeah I can face the world Oh you know I can do anything now When I see you smile, oh yeah baby When I see you smile
Smile at me

((Bowling for Soup is right, and it's my Theme Song, if I had to pick one xd ))
1985 Woohoo Woohoo
Debbie just hit the wall She never had it all One Prozac a day Husbands a CPA Her dreams went out the door When she turned twenty four Only been with one man What happen to her plan?
She was gonna be an actress She was gonna be a star She was gonna shake her a** On the hood of white snake's car Her yellow SUV is now the enemy Looks at her average life And nothing has been alright
Springstein, Madonna Way before Nirvana There was U2 and Blondie And music still on MTV Her two kids in high school They tell her that she's uncool But she still preoccupied With 19, 19, 1985
Woohoo (1985) Woohoo
She's seen all the classics She knows every line Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink Even Saint Elmo's Fire She rocked out to wham Not a big Limp Biscuit fan Thought she'd get a hand On a member of Duran Duran
Where's the mini-skirt made of snake skin And who's the other guy singing in Van Halen When did reality become T.V. What ever happen to sitcoms, game shows (on the radio there was)
Springstein, Madonna Way before Nirvana There was U2 and Blondie And music still on MTV Her two kids in high school They tell her that she's uncool But she still preoccupied With 19, 19, 1985
