Kasis caught a few loose tears and wiped them away. He sniffled a bit and looked into her eyes. He got up off of Bastet and offered a hand to her. Even if she wasn't going to stay, she could at least stay for the banquet and let Kasis worry after she had left. It was the best thing to do. All he could do was hope for her departure to be much later.

"Good 'cause I don't want you to leave." Khenu smiled and stood. He petted one of Bastet's cat ears before turning from the entire group slightly feeling better but oddly drained. "Hey save some left overs from this banquet thing for me. Sorry I have to miss it...but I need to get my head cleared."
The fog wasn't' receding as easily as last time so Khenu opted to lie down.

Saradin let out a heavy sigh of relief and took to leaning against a wall. "What a way to get this off... Anyways, I think we should all sit down to and have a nice dinner, its all yours now." Saradin waved his arms over at the prepared foods laying spread out in the great hall. "Khenu, I want you to think carefully, did you see two of me at the exact same time? I've been flying all about the manor today, and you werent feeling to well. Are you sure? Get some sleep then, I can keep the banquet together for when youre ready."

Bastet took the hand offered to her, and looked Kasis and Khenu in their faces in turn. "I am sorry...." For lack of anything else to say to cover it up, she said the truth, "I was scared for the first time in a long time, but maybe I do not have to be anymore."

Aura watched Khenu go off. He had seemed different she then turned her attention to Saradin. "What was that Saradin? Khenu wasn't feeling well earlier?" Maybe he had been seeing things after all. He never did say that he saw two together, just two in different places, and after all, Saradin could shadow walk.

"Yeah, I was concerned at first but I put more thought into it. It's been far to soon for another shadow copy to have been born. Let alone gather enough strength to go about the planes as it wanted. Though I have to admit it had me frightened for a time." Saradin moved away from them all and over to the tables set with foods. "In any case, I suppose dinner is served."

Kasis slumped back against the wall and slid down to the cold floor. He was dizzy and his blood was starting to slow down, like after a dam breaks loose. So much trouble to keep a "family" together, you sure this is what a family does? Prevent other family members running away? Kasis chuckled to himself a bit and looked up slightly at Bastet.
"Yes this is," he said to himself. The smell of the food soon wafted into Kasis' nose and as if a switch was flipped, Kasis jumped up.
"So then, lets not have Saradin's banquet be ruined. Lets eat!"

He made sense. Aura herself had killed the copy. But then shadows, normal and abnormal one, came and went with the blink of an eye. And there was a lot of hatred in that first copy. Hatred always spawned thing s quickly.
Eclipse gently reminded her in her head of something and she turned her attention to Saradin once again, getting an excuse from Eclipse as why she was going to ask as well.
She smiled sweetly at him. "Saradin, Eclipse tells me that you've put the phoenix emblem on the blade of Soulforge...may I see it?"

"Another Saradin?" Bastet looked from Saradin to Aura, then pondered the discussion about shadow Saradin. She shook her head and headed to the table after everyone else, deciding that she had too much to think about for now.

Kasis walked into the Great Hall and looked at all the wonderful food laying out on the table. He had to restrain himself, his gut wanting to start digging in immediatly. The room was filled with differnt aromas of all sorts. Kasis' nose picked out some of his favorite foods and some he never smelled before, or maybe it was becuase it was all mixed up. He sat on his haunches and waited pateintly for the word to start eating.

Saradin began to let the exhaustion of the day sink in as he moved to sit down in a chair at the banquet table and beckonned the others to join him. "This has been a long day. I've been waiting to long for this banquet, probably more than everyone else." He faltered at Aurahkah's new question, knowing that she suspected him. He lifted up the empty case by his side and showed it to her. "I posted the soulforge at the front gates, with a note attached should Bastet have passed that way. I knew she wouldnt overlook it so simply."

Kasis jumped into a chair nearest a large fish. The smell of the fish with the peppers lemon and other assortments of flavor inducing ingredients made his mouth water. Kasis' hand went up to his head to take off his hat, but instead he scratched his ears remembering what he had did with his hat. A regretful pang came and passed him, but his mind was reeled back by the scent of the food. With fork and knife in hand he awaited for someone to start eating first.

Her and Eclipse exchanged looks before she sat down at the table. The story didn't fly. Saradin never let Soulforge leave his side for one. And two, when did he get time to write a note, know Bastet was gone, and then post that note on Soulforge at the gates, when she had seen him with it only minutes earlier before he had left her company? She didn't' think that even shadow walking could help that. But she put on her hostess facade none the less, and played the game if there was one. "Eclipse dear, why don't you go retrieve Saradin's sword for him?"

Saradin finally took a seat and rested in front of an empty plate which he intended to fill with his meal once everyone else was ready. "If you wouldn't mind Eclipse. I've been hiding it, but I'm both exhausted and starved. I've been running in circles since last night. I left Soulforge stuck in the grounds by the gates."
Outside, Saradin stood over a very precise copy of the sword at his side, inspecting it slowly and cautiously.

Eclipse jumped down from his own chair and padded his way outside. Sure enough there was the sword, stuck in the dirt, note attached. Which was...odd. Even odder thing was that another Saradin was standing there...with another Soulforge. He pinned his ears back and let out a feral growl.
