Khenu latched a hand to Aura's wrist and tugged to draw her attention. "Aura what's happening?" He was desperately confused at what had happened.
Neither Aura nor Eclipse had seemed happy at the mention of a Saradin double.

"Banquet" Kasis' ears perked up a bit and was momentarily distracted at the beautiful word. He shook his head and got his priorities sorted out.
"Of course i'll be coming!!! But first we need to get Bastet to stay!" He looked in again to see if Bastet was still there. But he quickly turned back to Saradin.
"Saradin!! You're the master cook! Make some of your food so she won't leave! Or at least talk some sense into her!" He ran behind Saradin and pushed him toward her window.

Bastet stopped dead in her tracks, realizing that she had spoken the wrong words, and that no one had an explanation for her actions. She started rushing around, packing things up. Tears stung at her eyes as she shouted, "Because I am not suited to be around people!" She stopped seeing Saradin and Kasis both there. Then she ran down the hallway towards the great hall.

Aura ruffled Khenu's hair and put on a smile for him. "Just a bit of confusion Khenu." If Khenu hadn't of been there she would of fetched her sais and followed Eclipse up. But with him awake, and two Saradins roaming, she couldn't leave him alone. "Eclipse will take care of it." Her attention was drawn away from the boy however as she saw Bastet. "Bastet!"

"Damn it!" Ignoring Saradin, he used his shoulders as a stepping stone and lept into Bastet's room. Bursting through her door he ran after her through the hallways. As he ran, Bastet slowly got farther and farther away.
"No, i won't lose anyone now." He strained himself and with a leap he landed on all fours and started to chase after her.

He only barely caught Bastet's shout but was already to the window looking in as she tore out the doorway. "Damn it... Kasis, see if you can catch up with her before she gets off the grounds. I'll round her off at the doors." Saradin almost dove into the window and vanished fully from sight as he shadow-walked to move quickly around the complex.

Eclipse had ended up tailing the Saradin that had been talking to Kasis. He shadow walked back into the manor, appearing himself into the great hall, trying to keep his pace with all that was going on. Damn there was too much at once, and if there was another Saradin, he could possibly use this to his advantage. To stop the chaos he shadow walked the final distance to Bastet, grabbing her tail in his jaws and yanking her to a stop.

Bastet felt a yank on her tail which stopped her abrubtly as she went sprawling. She turned to see Kasis running up, Eclipse holding her tail in his mouth, and Aura and Khenu standing there as well. She struggled to free her tail from Eclipse then got on all fours and hissed at the group.

Khenu got that blurry vision again. Argh, why was he like this today. "Bastet, don't be mad." He ran over to her coming to stand next to Eclipse as she hissed.

In a giant leap Kasis was airborne. What am i doing? This is so unlike me He landed hard on the floor, his body over Bastet's. His head was bent down and as he tried to catch his breath he stared into Bastet's eyes with teary ones.
"Bastet, you can't leave."
Why can't she leave? She has every right to, you can't stop her.
"No!!! You can't leave! Look around you, look at how many of us are trying to stop you! Do you really want to leave the people that care for you most?" Kasis felt a tear drop onto the floorboards next to her.
"You can't leave." Becuase this is the first family i ever had....

Saradin again entered the great hall, relieved to see everyone there, safe and sound. "Everyone's here now? Bastet, we dont want you to abandon us. Please stay in the manor." He moved over to the conversing group and watched Bastet obviously still distraught. "At the very least, you could stay for the meal with us. If afterward you truly feel that you should leave, I wont stand in your way. But give it some thought first."

Bastet's eyes went wide as she was tackled to the ground. She realized Kasis had done it and as tears came to her eyes, she looked to Khenu who looked weak again. She shook her head. "I have to leave, because my emotions hurt Khenu and they made Nailah pass out! Someone died because someone else thought it would be fun to torture me!! That is all because of me!!" She surpresssed her emotions since she was so close to Khenu, and tried to think for herself.

Khenu shook his head and walked closer to Bastet and kneeled down on the floor in front of her. "You don't hurt me Bastet." He shook his head as he spoke for emphasis. "Don't leave, please."

Eclipse dropped her tail from his jaws and padded back over to Aura. He wanted to be close enough to her should something arise. Watchful azure eyes and pricked forward ears were kept on everything as of the moment.
Aura merely stood her place. She wasn't going to pressure Bastet to neither stay or leave. Though if she had her way, she wouldn't allow her to go.

Bastet sighed resignedly, "I wont leave for now." Even as she said it she resented it some, but looking at everyone she could not say anything else. Manu was dead, for good, what was left of him was still there when she had gotten up later. There should be no threat to them, or her anymore. She remained quiet some more, but relaxed.
