As the girl expected, the man opened his hand once more and letting the silver coins breathe once more. He found the girl to be curious. Most people would take the money unquestioningly, but she bothered to ask what she did to earn it.

The half demon took the money, placing it in her pocket where what remained of her own money was. "If I'd known I was getting paid, I would have worked harder," she joked.

"If they were on time, I was going to give you a gold coin," the man spoke as though it was useless piece of information, and indeed it was. The only thing that he happened to do was make it so that what could have happened was known. "Still, it's better that everyone does odd jobs. Who all folded their blankets this morning?"

"Uhm..." Mickey paused to think. "I folded mine and Larissa's, the crazy blonde guy folded his and his friend's, and the quiet girl folded hers and her friends'..." Mickey realised she knew the names of virtually no-one in their little group. "Oh, and you folded Claw's, so don't blame me if you catch some disease."

"Take a silver coin for yourself, and give one to the girl and young man," Hari spoke with a small laugh, taking two more silver coins out and holding it out towards the girl once more.

"Ah, okay..." Mickey blinked, taking the coins. "Right now?" she asked, not really wanting to slow down and find the two people.

"You don't have to. Just don't forget to do it," the man spoke as the forest slowly came into view. As well as the forest, a sweet smell seemed to have slowly surrounded the group.

Mickey put the two other coins in a separate pocket so she wouldn't forget. She noticed the smell but didn't point it out, though she wnated to know what it was.
Larissa had walked between Mickey and Hari and the rest of the group, not really bothered to conversate with anyone. The half demon was preoccupied, and the fairy didn't care to talk to anyone else, besides Nariko. She was being unusally antisocial, though her homesickness was probably to blame.

It was only a few feet after they had entered the forest before Hari quickly pulled on the reins of his mount with one hand and used the other one to motion for those behind him to stop. The animal (now known as a Zeber) tossed its head with annoyance, snorting in discomfort as an arrow few inches to its muzzle and hitting about 10 yards to the right. If one looked at where the arrow was, it was perfectly lodged within the head of an extremely miniature deer.

"What the-" the half demon blinked in shock. "Watwazthat?" She hadn't expected arrows, despite Hari mentioning that Uzx was a town of thieves.
Since she wasn't up front like Mickey, Larissa hadn't had the same reaction to the arrow, though she was also a little surprised.

"The thieves are damned good archers as well," the man spoke, watching a teenage girl that appeared younger than Mickey swing from a branch with a hand. A bow was in the girl's other hand. Despite being a fairly large group, they seemed to be ignored, the small deer-like creature being the target. Whether they were hit or not was not the girl's problem, though she would have been a little annoyed had the deer gotten away. "C'mon," the man spoke, letting the zeber move once more.

"Thanks for the warning," she grumbled. Mickey continued walking alongside, but a little behind, Hari. "How long are we gonna be in this forest?" Mickey didn't feel save surrounded by archers, despite being surrounded by her element and being with someone who seemed to know what he was doing.

"A couple hours..." the man spoke nonchalantly. It was true that most traders and nobles avoided the forest because of thievery and accidental murders. The laws of Genesis meant nothing in the Tabbir Forest. "We should be able to make it to Parinene about an hour before nightfall if we don't mess around too much," the man noted, more to himself. In certain parts of the forest, closer to the meadows, the sweet smell grew stronger and faded as they passed.

"Alright." Mickey continued walking silently for a few minutes. 'Hey, Hari?" she finally said, "I've been wondering; what's that smell?"

"Salt Grass," the man responded, "It's good to chew on for a bit, but I don't recommend eating it. This forest is the only place where it grows... Oh I wouldn't eat any of the mushrooms here either. They're... kinda funny..."
