"Please Kasis, no need for formalities, just Aura." She flicked a piece of hair out of her eyes and looked up at the skylight of the library. Still dark. "Well I guess it's both...neither close to dusk nor dawn. Time is easily lost around here Kasis, you'd do well to not live by it here." She paused for a moment, watching his fascination. He always seemed fascinated by things in the manor. "Yes, all mine...picked them up through the years."

Aura smiled at him again, watching him trip over his words. Personally the title made her feel too important. More of a social figure than a friend. "Bastet left for a while off into the woods. She said she wanted some time alone to herself other than being in her room." That made it the second time she had lied for Bastet. But it was all for a good purpose and when needed Aura could lie flawlessly with out a hint that she wasn't telling the truth. "But I can assure you, she's doing well."

She marked her hieroglyphic written journal with it's familiar blue ribbon and closed it, allowing slight stall time before answering him. "Don't worry Kasis. I told her to come home and she will." She then let her smile soften more. "Any particular reason you're so worried about her Kasis?"

Aura picked up the small red leather bound book and blew across the page, helping the ink dry on the page, and leaned back in her chair. "That's right Kasis...family. Everyone who's here whether they know it or not. Sure we may be a weird one, but I believe we're one none the less." She sighed for a moment. "And there's also no need to hide things from family Kasis." She pointed a finger that indicated his hat and what was under it.

Kasis lazily looked toward where Aura was pointing. He looked behind him to see a bookcase, and tried to figure out which book she was pointing at. After a bit of quick searching he spotted that the point was on his hat. Kasis smiled slightly and took it off, giving his cat ears a good scratch.

"Well, it's not like i try to hide it anymore. Bastet helped me through that, but it's just well, i guess you can say that this hat is me. I guess you can say without this, i wouldn't be here."

He spun the hat on his index finger and looked at it's worn out material and faded colors. He recalled to how he had gotten it and just smiled at the strange lil memory. He tossed the hat back up into the air and caught it on his head, half hanging on one ear.

"Well now that i think about it, i guess they aren't that bad. Merci beaucoup"

Saradin nodded along to Kasis comments about his hat. "I still don't understand how people can be so upset by the tinniest differences. But it happens. A place as accepting as the this is hard to find, and certainly worth its weight in gold." Of course, what Aurahkah said raised some commentary of its own. "Egypt and cats... That raises an interesting question Aurah. How exactly did you come to choose a wolf as your guardian? Seems a strange choice considering your background."

"That's because humans are afraid of what is not normal, they get used to it eventually." Aura turned a smile to Saradin. "I didn't choose his form. He did. I only created the substance of him. Eclipse chose his own form, voice, thoughts. The only thing that I chose for him was his name and that was because he wanted me to." Aura's smile only grew at the recalling of the memory, yes her and Eclipse's 'meeting' had not been what she had expected at all.

"So Eclipse shaped himself..." Saradin slid off of the wall and closer to the ongoing conversation. "He made a good choice I think. Just think how different he could have been." Watching as Kasis scratched at his ears, Saradin thought about how he actually resembled an animal doing that. At the same time, he unconciously reached one hand up and touched one of those ears and scratched it slightly for a moment before stopping again. "Feline... goodnight Kasis."
