Jeremy awoke almost painfully early the next morning, but since he'd slept quite well it didn't bother him so much. He'd always loved the morning and had the uncanny ability to wake up in time to see the sunrise. It was something else, seeing the sun rise up over Floaroma Town's flowery meadows, and he knew that in time he'd miss it, but for now he only had one thing on his mind - completing the mission that Mitsu-Sensei had given him. He washed and dressed before heading out into the main hallway of the base, looking around curiously. No one else seemed to be awake yet, and he thought that perhaps it was a good thing. He had no idea where Piper was at this time but it was a safe bet she was still sound asleep. He closed his eyes and reached out with his mind, carefully trying to find the familiar wave-length out of the many that surrounded them. After a moment, he had an idea of which direction she was in and he made his way towards another hallway leading to the girls' dorms, and he carefully studied all the doors before choosing one and knocking. "Piper, wake up, it's time for us to get going!" he called out in a hushed whisper, repeating the message mentally as well. Chances were good that she'd hear him speaking to her mind before her actual ears picked up his voice, and he continued to prod her mentally until he got some sort of response. The two of them were heading out early to begin the search for their Partner Pokemon, but it would only work if Piper would drag her lazy butt out of bed.

In contrast to her twin brother, Piper was definitely not a morning person. Her dreams of leading countless people and Pokemon to safety were promptly cut short by the sound of Jeremy's voice cutting painfully through her mind. She sat up groggily and rubbed her eyes after throwing back some less-than-thankful thoughts Remy's way. She dressed and headed out into the hallway and the two of them proceeded to get some breakfast before leaving a note on Mitsu-sensei's desk, letting her know where they were headed. Now neither of them were sure if they actually needed to do such a thing, but they figured it was far more responsible than just running off without a word.
As the two of them stepped out into the cool morning air of Sunyshore City, Piper stopped and got a good look at the city. When they'd arrived last night, it had been too dark to really make out any of the details. It was just like she'd pictured though, and Piper stared up at the large solar panels in awe - the technology found here was astounding.
"Where should we look first?" she then asked, turning to look at her twin. "How far do you think we'll need to go before we find the Pokemon that's supposed to be our partner?"
