"I'll help," Subaru offered in a small voice as she followed after him, her mind still caught up on the previous events - they seemed so long ago but they had hardly been a week away, had they? She shook her head at this and then smiled, bowing her head soon after to stare at the ground.
"If I remember correctly I didn't encounter it but I had intentions to dispatch of it myself - perhaps two of us against it will provide a more sucessful attempt?" She mused half to herself before shaking her head and releasing another heavy sigh - it was at times like these when she missed being at home in Nyosei but her father had said that travelling was the best thing a girl could do...
Broaden your horizons, learn new thngs...understand that everything in the world wasn't as it was made out to be. She missed him.

(omg i'm sorry X_X school got me AGAIN okay...i'll try to wing it)
Miaka was still stationed on Nuriko's back listening to him have a conversation with the lady. She was mezmorized by how different and pretty she looked and she looked like the type who sure knew how to cook food. She was beautiful and Miaka wanted to just poke around her.
Miaka slowly slipped off Nuriko's back and snuck behind the women and lifted up her soft hair.
"woow, how did you get it this color? And the waves are so natural...ooh and how'd you get the top parts to stay up like that?" she said poking them alittle. "Your so pretty! Can you make steak?" she said smiling.

((o.o; Wow.. I was beginning to think I was the only one left. ;-; *tackle-glomps Miaka-chan. ^___^ ))
"Your probably right. I cant say I look forward to our next meeting, but I would really like to make it our last."
Nuriko explained, glancing over at her as they walked. He titled his head slightly as he caught her expression, one that seemed sad like she had lost something of importance. However, before he was able to ask what was wrong, Miaka suddenly jolted into awareness again, why did she always do that at such bad times?
"M- miaka? What are you doing? Stop bothering her."
He scowled, staring down at her and smacking her over the head lightly.
"I thought you were asleep..."

Subaru chuckled at the sudden attention she received from the young priestess, she waited patiently for her to make her enquiries and only then did she begin to answer the questions at hand - She was a curious little creature, but Subaru didn't mind, it was definately something she needed - a little bit of merriment.
"I received the hair colour from my father," She began at last and grinned lightly at the compliments, they made her feel strange but she enjoyed being told she was pretty - every girl did, "As for how they sit up like that, I braid them and then weave them into the unbraided parts; my hair is so thick that they remain in that position until I take them out again," She continued and lifted a hand to brush her fingertips against her hair.
Her hair was a little uneven, but then again she had only done one side - Nakago had done the other.
"As for steak..." she hesistated and thought about the question for quite a few moments, "I'm not entirely sure what that is," She confessed and raised a brow.

Miaka fell to the ground and slammed her head into the soil when Nuriko tapped her head. She then shook off all the dirt and stood right up and went back to admiring the woman.
"Ah! Your hair is sooo pretty! Could you maybe one day do it in my hair?" she asked sporting the biggest and goofiest puppy face she could make.
Then when she made the comments on the steak Miaka flung herself back and climbed halfway up a tree, "Steak!? You don't know steak!?" she said then flying back. She dramatically acted out the wonderful taste steak had to her and she kept mentioning other foods she loved. Miaka sorta...forgot Nuriko and Subaru were watching her so she continued her acting.

Nuriko sweatdropped, he had to remember not to use so much strength with smacking Miaka, she was easily breakable. At least it seemed Subaru didnt mind being proded at. Either that or she was just being polite- he couldnt tell.
"From what I've gathered, almost everything she mentions that we dont know of, is some type of food. Her stomach speaks for her too much."
He sighed, turning back to Miaka and her dramatic poses and explanations.
"Dont tire yourself out too much. I may be strong, but Im not carrying you around anymore."
Although, he knew if she asked, he would.

Subaru glanced at Nuriko briefly as he indicated that the majority of what Miaka spoke of was in relation to food, so she couldn't make this 'steak' that the girl spoke of but she was certain she could make something to meet her fancy.
"Your hair?" She considered this for a few moments before grinning and giving a light shrug, "Of course I'll do your hair for you!" She replied at last, her grin widening at the anticipation of toying with somebody else's hair. Anything to amuse her but she always enjoyed tending to beautiful hair - especially when the results afterwards were so lovely.
Nevertheless, she did clasp her hands together as she continued to watch the extravagant display - was she mimicing a cow by any chance...?

Miaka snapped her head at Nuriko as he made "fun" of her poses. She then lundged for him and started to crawl all over him and chew on him, "Meatt Buns!" she yelled chomping on him. She knew this would make him freaked out but...she loved kidding around with him and loved his reactions to them.
She then heard Subaru and smiled, "YAAYY!!" she yelped jumping off Nuriko to walk towards Subaru. "I'm Yuuki Miaka! I'm sorta...also know as...umm" she said bowing herself slightly, "I'm the Suzaku no Miko..." she said then lifiting her head up and rubbing the back of it nervously laughing. "Oh...please don't make her think I'm a freak..." she thought to herself.

Subaru smiled gently at Miaka's confession and after a few moments she bowed her head to show her respect for the priestess of one of the divine deities. She had been correct in her assumptions but even as she stood before the wonderous girl she couldn't help but be overcome with respect...
This girl, the Suzaku no miko was very nice - a little hyperactive perhaps but she was indeed very welcoming. The warmth emanating from her certainly impressed Subaru (although it was hard to impress her even more than she already was) and despite having already promised to help Miaka with her hair...she didn't even feel obliged to do it, she actually wanted to.
"I am known as Douin but many call me Subaru - I am one of the Byakko seven," She explained and then canted her head to the side, "It is an honour to meet you young priestess." She added and then raised a brow - 'young'? But she was only a little younger than Subaru was...

Nuriko layed on the ground twitching slightly after Miaka had tackled him. He scowled at her as he picked himself back up.
"Miaka behave! You say your a Miko, but even they're suppose to have manners... and not try to eat their warriors."
He stood silently, picking bits of foilage from his hair as he listened to the two converse and Miaka's childish display. Making a fool of herself, always seemed to be Miaka's way. Although despite how childish and annoying she acted most of the time, he knew she could be serious when needed. Nuriko flipped his braid back behind him and sighed.
"We better go find some food first, before we're both devoured by her enormous appetite."

Miaka smiled, she now had another friend! She couldn't wait till she could tell Yuichan about the wonderful people she has met. She then fet her face go flush and she wailed her arms, "Subaru-sama! Please don't bow to me!" she said. It always made her feel weird when people bowed to her. She still thought she was just an ordinary person...nothing too special.
Miaka smiled again and accidently screamed outloud, "BYAKKO SEISHI!?" She foamed at the mouth and giggled. How nice it was to meet another seishi, that was devoted to another preistess yet...didn't want to kill her! She wanted to know all about Subaru now. "Ah? May I ask why your here...and may I meet your miko!" she said with a huge smile placed on her face.
Then before Subaru could answer Miaka heard the snicker made by Nuriko and shot a glare towards him. She then leaped onto him and gnawed on his shoulder, "WHAT?! Nuriko! You are so mean to me! Why don't you become nice and warm like Subaru-sama here!!" Then, reliezing how 'odd' she was acting she looked at Subaru and nervously laughed, "Umm...ahahahah silly Nuriko..." she said patting his head.

Nuriko placed his face in his palm and let out a sigh, she really was a blunt person. She just met the girl and shes acting like they've been friends forever. Another one of Miaka's unique qualities coming through.
Fortunately, he expected Miakas assault and prepared for it. He held his hand on her head with little effort, preventing her from gnawing too much.
"I'm not mean! If I was, I would have refused to join you on your little ride through the country. I could have still been back with Hotohori-sama you know."
He crossed his arms and poked his tongue out at her in mock annoyance.

Subaru began to giggle hysterically at the actions of the pair and shook her head, "I'm here because I got lost," She replied gently and canted her head to the otherside as she continued to watch the interaction - clasping her hands tightly together as they continued their charade, "And as for my priestess..."
She hesitated and thought back to the priests, they were delighted with her presence and she with theirs, they spoke kindly to her and she had never felt so close to her deity in all her life but strangely enough there was no miko, and only her deity (she knew not of genbu) had ever appeared before his seishi more than once.
"My priestess has long since left this world," She confessed at last and released a sigh, her father had told her the stories of the summoning of Byakko, the glory and joy it brought to Sairou - he'd even told her stories about Tatara, although the Tatara she knew was a little different.
"She long ago saved Sairou but unfortunately Kutou refuses to see this - instead, they have ordered an attack on the neighbouring countries and my fellow warriors and I wished to stop it - but the warriors of Seiryuu refuse to heed us and their priestess is just as bad if she is the one controlling them." She frowned as she thought back to Nakago - no...their priestess wasn't controlling them.
"But somehow, I doubt she is." She added sadly.

Korin-Chan "Unlike you however, my daughter has a more diplomatic approach and her mind is not corrupted by a desire for revenge," Toroki pointed out coolly, his visored gaze turning towards Nakago briefly. "She would deny or confirm the rumours rather than drawing something out - alas you did not do that, rather you led her on until she could only conclude that you were perfectly content with the plans to attack the neighbouring countries."
"Strange though -" He mused as an after thought as he turned towards Yui again, taking a brief note of the earring in Nakago's hand and the aura that emanated from it, "You were rather intent in touching her in places you were not invited to -" It was his turn to twist the words of the young man, he was tired of the game play, tired of the lies and if the pathetic welp truly wished to manipulate his priestess then he could, he was here for only two things.
"I wonder, could you have done that to anybody else?" He purred and then chuckled as he glanced towards the earring once more. The question that struck him most however was in regards to Byakko himself, was the child really that foolish?
"Only when the times look dire does a deity step in," He explained at last, "Smiting those that desire to completely destroy its beloved lands but only then will it occur - before that thousands will be slaughtered and nobody likes death - except for you who seems to get a little kick out of attempting to destroy seishi." He added before dropping the fake earring in his palm to the ground - before it collided however it burst into countless shards and he nodded.
"Keiko!" He roared, his voice echoing off the walls as his symbol flashed briefly, "Prepare." He finished and turned towards Nakago again, "You are aware of what I desire." He murmured softly as he began to move again, however his movements were slow and calculated - he continued to move in an elaborate fashion until he had his hand placed on Yui's shoulder.
Once again, he addressed her.
"Do you really wish to be viewed as the being who ordered the destruction of thousands of people? As priestess, all see you as this - you are their representative, their little ray of light...but a murderer?" He enquired and shook his head as he released a heavy sigh and dropped his arm again.
With that he backed away and turned his back towards the pair, glancing briefly to his side before nodding as the dark shadow descended upon him and encircled him like a delicate black ribbon of silk. At once, the air around him became cold to the touch and a small smirk appeared on his lips, he knew his little dreamer was enjoying herself but he would have to spoil her fun eventually.
"Keiko." He repeated as he turned his gaze towards the wall and then began to walk towards it, his hand outstretching to touch it - but instead...he walked right through it.
"It is your choice priestess." His voice echoed in a strange manner about the banquet hall, "I cannot make it for you - if you so choose to return what you have stolen and now hold hostage then meet me in the Western gardens; I guarantee we will leave you in peace." And with that, the voice fell silent.
However the shadowed figure with the peculiar ethereal wings continued his way down the hallway towards where Tokaki was hidden and the little girl did play... *Nakago stood silently, never averting his gaze from the stranger. The earing out where he could have taken it then..and as Yui had commanded, Nakago would have allowed it. But this would do as well. He did not react to the words of attack, but smirked at his twist on words. she had been quite the object of beauty, thought very much a bother....A rose in all its forms, with all its thorns. Having only been in this world for a short time...Yui would not feel she was being used...she knew so little of everyhting, and trusted Nakago greatly. He did not need to defend againt that attack either. If she felt any of what he said..she was strong enough to bring it to him, and then she would decide accordingly.*
*After he had stepped out, through the wall no less, Nakago waited long enough until he Knew they were alone again.*
"To the Western Garden it is. But I do not think it wise that you go alone Lady Yui...Even now...My soldiers are battling the will of this guest of ours in the halls...those who were escorting the lad with whom he wishes us to return..."
*He closed his eyes for a moment...focusing on the power residing in the hall, and then nearby, his elites. Making his prescense felt*
*He stood now, turning more towards her, holding the earring out to her.*
"Shall I accompany you to the West Garden now?"- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Korin-Chan The loud roar that emerged from the mouth of Toroki could easily be heard down the hallway, sweeping through the air in its search for that which it desired to control. At once, the tiny girl obediently stopped midstep and glanced up, a bright smile flashing onto her lips as the ethereal tendrils moved inwards to surround her in a white cacoon.
To touch when it was not controlled, the tendrils were harmless - but in a large shield like cacoon of the concentrated substance, it would shatter every blade and most likely damage the hand that struck it.
And with that...she lay in wait as the footsteps grew louder down the hallway and the tiny childs voice did echo within the air around her.
"It comes." ninja ninja ninja *Ignoring the strange sound eminating through the halls, the attacker continued with his attempted strike, brining the sword to bear on the strange coccoon. The balde shatterd as the full force of the blade, backed by the mans arm strength, clashed with the coccoon, as did the bones within his arm. He curled quickly in pain and fell to the floor, the shock, more than even his ninja training had ever prepared him for. The other two had not yet notyiced this...as they were searchjing to ascertain the source of the strange sound that had run through the halls. When they felt a ramiliar power eminating through the hall, originating not far from where they were.....the two uninjured, stood down and backed into the shadows, while the third, in great pain,. managed to stand again and ran as quickly as possible, as far as possible*

Step by step, the sound of the footfalls increased, yet the voice had long since silenced. In replacement; the light 'swish' of long skirt robes could be heard while the clanging of armour was terribly difficult to pick up.
Toroki, was by no means fearful of what he might find behind the corner, but as he rounded it and observed the damaged arm of one of the ninjas as he fled and then the caccoon through his 'sightless' mask - he came to appreciate what he had missed and he soon released a gentle chuckle of approval towards the caccoon - lifting his hand to hover above the caccoon.
"You have to be gentle," He chastised towards the pair of ninjas hidden in the shadows, pointing his fingers downwards towards it to emit ethereal white tendrils of his own. His wings immediately tensed, extending to their full span until the tendrils from his fingertips gently carressed the caccoon. It glowed briefly and then began to fade - however the child was gone and in its place rested a sleeping Tokaki.
"Well done Keiko," He murmured approvingly as he clasped his hand around the dozing warrior and pulled him up to hang under his arm. It was only then that he paid heed to the ninjas once more - smiling wistfully towards them, or rather smirking mockingly. The spirit child had done her job and he was about to complete his - it was easy in that respect and with continual updates from his 'spies' he was aware of what the many other seishi were doing around him; one not so well as the other.
"Farewell, gentlemen." He added at last and tapped his helmet and began to make his way towards the garden once more.
