Ardra looked up from her book when she heard someone yell in the courtyard. Putting the book away she decided to go investigate since she had nothing better to do.

He laughed nervously for a moment before pulling it's guards from his back pocket and took the boomerang from Bastet, placing it's guards on. "They're only off when I'm using it. By the way, sorry for trying to knock your head off earlier..."

"It's ok, I have a hard head, and I don't think you removed the guard that time," As she stated it she thought about it and drew one hand across her neck warily.

Bastet smiled and winked, "No harm done. But yea, smack first and ask questions later. You arn't too defensive are you?" She was just playing with him, but she did wonder about his past. Why was a kid wondering alone?

Ardra walked into the courtyard and saw Lady Bastet talking to someone she had never seen before, "Hey...long time no see."

Khenu shrugged, feeling a bit defeated. "Well, I never got a chance to learn too much defense before I left." He gestured his boomerang. "Long range offense after all." He clicked his tongue as one finger fiddled with the ruby in the center of the object.

Bastet turned to look at Ardra as she walked in, "Oh hello Ardra. Yes, it's been a while since I've seen everyone here. How have you been?"
She turned back to Khenu, "You can always learn a few things from the people here, if any more of them wake up. Where did you come from anyway, if you don't mind me asking."

Ardra smiles, "Oh you know the usual,a little bored though nothing exciting has happened except for a little reading, lighting random things on fire, taking moonlite walks, you know, nothing exciting."

Scratching at his hair with the tip of his boomerang,he closed one eye in thought for a moment before answering. "It was this little village near a mountain. We would mine this metal junk we found in there and make things out of it, like my 'rang here. Everyone there knew how to make something out of anything."
He then managed a wave at the new girl who he assumed her name was Ardra, seeing as Bastet had called her that. "Hello." That done, he returned his attention back to Bastet.

Bastet laughed at Ardra's comment, "Yes, if you look at the people living here, that's all relatively normal," Bastet noticed Khenu being slightly evasive, "Just a nice little village? Pretty cool, do you have anything else made from that metal?"

He looked down to his boots. "Just a little on the tips of my boots...to protect my toes ya know." He then pushed back a piece of hair from his ear. "And this earring right here. Yeah that's about it."

She snapped her fingers, "Darn, and I was thinking about modifying my sai. Oh well." She remembered that she had to do something and turned to leave, at the entrace to the courtyard she stopped, "Good bye Ardra and Khenu, I have something I must attend to." With that, she was gone.

Khenu waved after Bastet then looked to Ardra for a moment before looking back to his boomerang. He whistled softly, something he would do if he was unsure of himself.
