Eve Shutters
"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up"  Colours awoke abruptly to the sound of Evangeline fumbling around in the kitchen. He sat up, rubbing his eyes a bit, and peer through the crack in his door to see Evangeline pop in and out of her room. Still a little drowsy, Colour followed her, and made his way to the kitchen. His eyes widened when he found her drinking what looked like blood.
"Evangeline...?"
He rubbed his eyes a little, as he walked fully into the kitchen.
"Evangeline....is that...."

Evangeline froze like a well, demon caught in the headlights.
"Oh...um....."
She looked at the glass in her hand and shook her head.
"It...it's not...blood.."
She then made a disgusted face and lost to the scent, turning and spitting up the fowl liquid that she had managed to swallow.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Upon seeing Evangeline spit up the liquid, Colours let out a small sound of distress, almost like a gasp. He rushed over to her, grabbing a small towel just in case she spit up anymore liquid. He put one hand on her shoulder, and with the other hand he pointed to his own neck.
"Evangeline. Please. Please. Just take some of my blood. You need it! You can't continue living off of this...this....blood substitute."

"Yes...but..I....."
She gulped and stuttered out an unconvincing protest, eyes flicking to his neck. She wiped and arm across her mouth, effecticely wiping any remaining substance away.
"Are...Are you...sure?"
She cringed as she said it, but leaned foward nontheless.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours withdrew his hand from his neck, and placed it on her other shoulder. He reassured her with a smile, and nodded.
"Yeah, I'm sure."
After reassuring her that he was serious, Colours leaned in closer to her, his head seemingly hovering over shoulder, exposing his neck, which at this point was merely inches away from Evangeline's mouth.
"I'm giving you permission to take my blood, Evangeline. Go ahead. It won't bother me at all, I promise."

Evangeline let out a breath that sounded like a hiss.
"Alright..."
She bridged the distance, and held his shoulders. Evangeline took one more glance up at him, and bit gently but quickly to cause minimum pain, if any. But as it was his second time, he likely wouldn't feel any.
She closed her eyes as she drank.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Upon the initial bite, Colours felt a sharp pain in his neck as her teeth dug into his skin. However, after a few seconds, the pain seemed to minimize as she consumed his blood. He blushed a little, and was even able to force a small laugh. Evangeline continued to consume his blood. Every so often he'd feel a slight sharp pain in his neck, and whenever he did he'd grip Evangeline's shoulders a little tighter.
"See? I told you it'd be alright?
Colours gave a little smile, although he new she couldn't see it.
"Take as much as you need. Don't worry about me, ok?"

Evangeline jolted away after what seemed like a long time but was only a minute or two. She licked at the bite til it stopped bleeding and pulled away,
"Of course I would worry about you, silly."
She smiled warmly, skin back to a normal color she had forgotten she had. She wrapped her arms around him,
"Thank you,"
Evangeline mumbled.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours brought up one of his hands to where she had bitten, feeling around the holes that had been placed there. He started to feel a little light headed, almost dizzy. But, he assumed it was normal, considered he had just had a lot of blood drawn from his body. Before he had a chance to return to his room, Evangeline had wrapped her arms around his body.
"It's really no big deal. I really don't mind you taking my blood. Just ask, and I don't mind."
Although, he probably should've specified on waiting a few hours in between. He was only human, and humans need time for their bodies to make more blood. Colours lightly put his arms around Evangeline as well, and out a yawn. He seemed a bit pale.
"We...should probably get some rest, Evangeline."

"Okay. But I promise to only take it like..once a week or so...so I don't hurt you.."
Evangeline let out a delicate yawn and nodded. Supporting him slightly, I mean, he had just lost alot of blood, she led him to his room.
"Nighty night, Eve."
She said, and curled onto the pull-out mattress. Promtly falling asleep.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours was somewhat surprised to hear her call him by his real name. He wasn't used to it. However, he wasn't able to fall asleep as easy as Evangeline was. About an hour or two had passed, and Colours lie away in bed, with on arm placed on his neck where Evangeline had bitten.
"........."
Colours wasn't pale anymore, nor did she take too much blood. Rather, it was the bite himself that was bothering him. The bite mark continued to throb, causing Colours to toss and turn in bed every so often

Evangeline woke from her light sleep to rusling in the bed. She assumed Colours was just getting comfortable and trie to go back to sleep. She suceeded, but only for a short while, a frown tugging at her lips.
"Colours?"
She whispered softly, eyes turning to their demonic form so she could see in the dark.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours froze as heard Evangeline speak. Immediately he turned away and pressed against the bite marks on his neck. Unlike the first time she took his blood, these bit marks didn't seem to be healing. Essentially, they were still open wounds. Very open.
"Evangeline...maybe, you might've bitten a little to hard or something...."
His voice was shaky. His hand, pressing up against his neck in hopes of numbing the pain. He tried to speak calmly, however, it felt like the equivalent of having someone stab his neck with a knife over and over again,
"The h-holes in my neck aren't...aren't healing. It hurts, Evangeline. It really hurts.."

Evangeline sat up and leaned over him, moving his hand away from the wounds. She frowned and her eyes lit up in a strange orange haze.
"Crap."
She whispered, eyes widening slightly. She ran a hand over the wound briefly.
"I'll be back in a moment."
She left and returned with a gauze pad, a soft leafy herp pressed into it.
"Put this on it."

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours pressed the gauze pad against his neck, and seemed to let out a tiny sound of distress.
"You bit too hard, didn't you?"
Although he was in pain, he was able to bring about another little laugh,
"It didn't hurt this much last time"
