Shadow shook her head. "Lance, you will get hurt....... You saw what I can do, and that's with me being careful not to hurt you.......they won't use the same cation....... They killed once........ they will do it again......"

Lance stood, shaking with anger. "I came back to save you...to keep you from dieing...if I have to die to keep you safe then I will!" he opened the door and went outside, slaming the door behind him.

Lance stood outside the door, shaking. I don't want to go through the pain I went through before...he sighed and sat down against the wall.

lance rubbed his face and pulled out his white rose. "I wish I knew what to do...I can't let her go alone..." he whispered, turning the rose slowly between his fingers.

Selene appeared in front of him, only much, much smaller. She sat on the rose petals and looked up at him.
