*Araena gently landed on the pier, even with her magic, she was tired from the flying. Prism her familiar, was displeased and chastised her for traveling so far this time. Course there was not much of a choice, they were over water.

If the rumors were true, the Araena would be happy for the location she had heard rumors about. The rumors that would make her feel at home, and not looking over her shoulder constantly for what she is.

She looked around the idealic locale, with enhanced senses she could see different sorts of people moving about. There were others on the pier, but she was apprehensive to speak with the, and as such began to walk.*

Sitting on the edge of the pier, Chad looks out at the sea and breathes a sigh of relief. "Finally, a place where I can get away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland."

Little did he know about the women who ruled this island and the men that served them...

A small girl dressed in classy dark colors walked down the wooden piers, her boots thumping calmly as she casually inspected the new arrivals. She smiled at a taller fellow that Sat on the side, waving invitingly. She then bit her lip as she noticed a rather unusual looking girl at the end of the pier, and quickly headed off in the direction, her long black hair jumping about her almond shaped, blue eyes, and her most noticable feature, her ackwardly wide hips, jiggled enticingly as she headed for Araena at a jogging pace...

"I wonder where I should stop first on this island paradise." He pulled out a map and stared at it for a long time, looking at all the places this island had to offer. "Maybe I could get someone to show me around."

*Flying hard from its latest encounter with the unorthodox Abaddon, and fuming inside its own head, Rake soared easily above teh clouds held aloft by massive feathered pinons on one side and a wing which seemed to only exist by a definition of light around it on the other.
Wind whistled past the powerful entities ears, but it was nothing compared to teh savage pumping of the creatures blood in its ears as it seethed and plotted, determined more than ever now to not only find the sword it craved but also to defeat the monstrosity known as Abaddon and find the thousand Hell Butterflies it needed to be whole again.

Finally deigning to swoop beneath the high cloud cover, Rake was suprised at how far it had travelled... and at the new vista splayed out below it. An island it had never seen before, glowijng like acrescent gem in the bright sun, almost calling to it to land...

Rake's flight slowed, seven great swords manifesting in belts and sheaths around its body as it came closer and surveyed teh land. It could not vcontact the clan for a while and the sword had not yet been located... a new base of operations was required and maybe, just maybe, subjegating the masses would take its mind of the thorn known as Abaddon until Rake was ready to face it and defeat it. Yes... maybe this island was of some use to it... after the inhabitants had been slaughtered*

.: no... use... ense. Ki...no...se. Poss... hume :.

*The internal voice was almost unheard, but it was THERE... once again changing the thoughts Rake wanted to be having. Shaking its head, it dropped lower in the sky and gave in to the voice, not wanting to risk silencing it forever. Death was, after all, too good for MOST beings. Smirking to itself, it let its booted feet touch down on the pier, its eyes flickering across the immediate vicinity... especially as it sensed an auras it knew.... it grinned and let its mental plane open, seeking the familiar man*

.: Oh Daaaaanteee..... come out come out wherever you are.... your local weatherstorm just dropped in for a visit... :.

Dante was busy lounging amidst the trees of the forest that surrounded Morrigan’s estate when he picked up a faint scent. It was almost as if the smell jarred his eyes open, and in fact this was not too far from the truth. It was the scent of ozone, and not a small amount either by any means. Far too much than to be a simple passing thunderstorm, that much he knew for certain. As such, he had already risen to his feet long before Rake had called out to him, and longer still since the being had landed on the pier. Though he partially recognized the voice there was something odd about it. Unsettling even. As though there was more to this thing than simply Roan herself. His only thought at this point became to investigate this entity.

He wandered away from the forest, in the direction that the voice in his mind seemed to have come from. It wasn’t yet clear to him where exactly the call had come from, aside from the fact that it lay before him rather than from behind. He kept his eyes open and alert, looking for any signs that something in his immediate area was amiss. If the being truly was Roan, even in part, it would not try to attack him and kill him outright. She was more of a manipulator than that. Still, he didn’t want to give it an advantage, even if that meant not letting it catch him off guard. His ears perked at every slight sound as he listened with both his ears and his mind, searched for a second call that might set him on a more appropriate path.

.: Thats it, keep coming boyo. Come and play... :.

*Rake opened its wings again and flared them outwards form its body, sending a large bolt og lightning up into the sky like a beacon, the creature barely bothering to hide its overpowering aura, which started now to darken the land and sea around it just by the creatures mere presence*

This should be fun...

Dante had his head turned more to the left when Rake sent up the signal, so he only briefly caught sight of it out of the corner of his eye before the deafening boom shook the ground. It was not until he lowered his gaze and retraced the path of the beacon that he realized that he was not but so far from It’s location. Despite the fact that Rake obviously wanted him to find It now, he was not stupid enough to continue towards the being. From his estimation It was near the docks, and he knew well what the presence of water could mean for any who dared closer. So he instead decided to take a seat upon the hill that overlooked the docks and let Rake come to him, for he was certain that the being knew exactly where he was anyway.

Oh do you have to be so damn awkward? I HATE it when my toys dont do what I want.

*Scowling like a petulant child, Rake soon broke out into a grin, its huge wings beating thrice powerfully, easily lifting the weight of teh creature itself itno teh air, its flight an easy sail across to where Dante had chosen to await it.

Alighting in a blaze of glory heralded by lighting, Rake swept its body into a deep bow, letting its mad eyes rise to meet Dante's as it grinned evilly, disturbingly, and with glee*

Hi there Dante.... long time no... see.

*Truly this was the Daemon let loose as it licked it lips and proudly displayed the metallic covering on its left side, marking Roan's much recessed presence in this form*
PostPosted: Mon Sep 04, 2006 2:02 pm

“Yes, I suppose it has been. And since when am I one of your ‘toys’?”

The being’s loud voice had carried to his ears despite the physical distance between them. He was somewhat surprised, for Roan never stuck him as one who would express annoyance at an awkward situation. Or perhaps It was more annoyed at the fact that for once It was not the one causing the awkwardness. Whatever the case, it was irrelevant, and Dante put those thoughts out of his mind.

Unfortunately for Rake, It’s brilliant display was wasted on Dante. He had decided to close his eyes and relax as he waited on the being to arrive, and did not bother to open them again until after It showed the metal covering the left half of It’s body. Thus, the mad gaze that it’s eyes held was lost on him as well. He looked over the metallic covering with mild disinterest on his face, though secretly he did wonder what exactly it meant.

Ooooh. Shiny. Does it come with a metal codpiece as well?

Wouldnt you like to know my ever talkative friend? And we ARE friends, right? Id hate to think Roan helped save your hide at halloween for nothing.

*It snapped its wings tight against its back and sought smokes admidst the impressive number of chains and straps that covered it to hold its swords in place. It succeeded ratehr quickly despite this*

Now come on Dante, dont pretend you arent BRIMMING with questions. Whats happened to Roan? Whats that stuff on her left side? Why does her voice sound different and why oh why is the power she gets from that damned sword flickering and ewavering so violently?

*It smirked*

And before you give me one of your wise a** remarks, I promise you the answers a goodun and will indeed explain just WHY your one of my toys kiddo. THough I suspect you KNOW the answer... dont you?

Yawning, Quint roamed the island, almost sure that he'd be able to find something of interest. Enjoying the soft mist of the waves crashing on the rocks to the east of the pier, Quint turned away from the ocean to gaze upon the forest. It was then that he noticed a large crature to his south-west, never having seen something quite like it on the island.

Scratching his chin, he slowly flew within twenty yards of the creature, sighting Morrigan's current 'bodyguard' lounging. After a bit of thought, Quint realized that he still didn't know his name..

*Rake's ear tip flicked as it sensed another presence close at hand. It turned its head breifly, fixing this new entity with it piercing gaze, leaving no doubts as to its evil nature as the mixed red and blue eyes flashed*

Well well.... looks like the natives showed quicker than I expected.

Quint cocked his head to the side, his hand leaving his chin. Never believing in not giving a person, or thing a chance, Quint showed no sign of shock or anger. That didn't mean however he wouldn't watch this creature; he'd surely be careful around it. After all, it seemed to know the succubus' sentry.

Continuing to watch the two, Quint was now listening in closely to anything they may be talking about, though a little upset by the waves behind him starting to pick up. If the being was an enemy, he would then want to know as much as he could about it.
