I like J-rock because it's queer.
Especially visual kei.

The voices in my head? ...
No, there was this online Jpop/Jrock radio station I was addicted to, and it had Baiser, The Yellow Monkey, Xjapan... it was really nice.

I actually was introduced into J-Rock by a firned of mine I met over the internet. She lives out in California (I'm on the east coast) and has been to a few shows, I believe, one of them being the recent one (I think in May?) of Larc en C'iel. I had listened to a bit of Gackt and some J-pop before, but she's the one I really owe my newfound appreciation to.

I actually got into J-Rock the summer after I graduated high school. I was into Eastern religion/thought/philosophy at the time, and in a music search on Kazaa(yeah, I had Kazaa, so what?) I looked for music in Japanese, and X-Japan's Blue Blood came up. I listened to it, and really liked it. As soon as I heard one of their ballads, though, I was hooked for life. That then led me to other J-Rock artists, etc., etc.

How is this not spamming? I'm about to agree with IKE on this. One more useless comment, and I'm going to have to ban you.

I would see Dir en grey, L'arc~en~Ciel, and Gackt mentioned on anime fansites, so I got curious. (Funny... cause my anime phase lasted two months, but it got me into Jrock~) I remember hearing "Vanilla" for the first time thinking "Dude, this Gackt guy.. he sounds like he's 50 or something~"

Vanilla makes me want to boogie down.

This one time I was showing Otakon TMR pics to someone and he went "Who is this woman and why do you have so many pictures of her?"
That was cute.
