At his cries, Cas jumped up, glanced once at their guests, then ran out of the room and straight for the master bedroom. She skid to a halt outside the door, turned the knob slowly, and pushed the door open. Kyle was face down and the room's atmosphere reflected the pain or whatever it was Kyle was going through. In an instant, Cassi was beside him, holding him, rocking him. Her head was on his back and she started crying from his pain. "Shhh.... shhh.... I'm here. I'm here. What's wrong? Please, tell me what's wrong..." she kept saying over and over.
All the gods sat listening, not even Ares daring to scoff at what was happening.

"M-My chest....it...it's burning and stinging. I feel somethign swirling in the center of it...like an intense sea of flames hat is turning to lava...." He tried his best to help her understand what was happening in his chest. And as his torment kept going the storm clouds above grew even stronger and darker.
Zeus felt something amiss in the sky. "There is somethign wrong in the atmosphere....this storm wasn't meant or even planned by me...There is something wrong and i feel it could mean the end of one of our little heroes....how about you?" He asked as he looked to Aphrodite

Aphrodite shrugged delicately, as she primped slightly. "Either way, their loves bound to get stronger. It would be sad, otherwise."
Cassi held him tighter, her tears staining the back of his shirt. "No matter what, I'm here for you..." she whispered, nodding at his explanation, kissing and rubbing his back. "I wish I could take your pain...." she whispered into his shirt as she again kissed him. "Please, heal him..." Cas begged of no one in particular.

Kyle felt a twinge in the air. he turned over and looked into Cass' eyes, his blood shot and his cheeks terribly stained. He lifted her to his stomach and kissed her deeply and lovingly. "Cass...lightning is about to pour into my body...and anything living that i am touching will die.....please, don't leave the room but get out of arms reach...ok?" He warned her as softly as possible

Cas nodded and kissed him back, just for a moment, before she crawled off the bed and stood against a pillar. "I don't know if I can watch..." she whispered, tears still spilling. "I'm not leaving. But I don't know if I can stomach witnessing any pain you go through...." Swallowing hard, she leaned against the pillar and hugged herself, waiting for the thing to be done.

Just as she backed away and closed her eyes ten bolts of pure lightning strikes his body simultaneously. He is lifted off the bed and clenches his teeth as more strike hi body. As five minutes pass a total of 250 lightning bolts have entered and exited his body. A final dark red bolt enters his body and leaves his body smoking and his eyes shut his heart rarely beating

Cassi opened her eyes and edged forward. "Kyle...?" she whispered. Creeping closer, she climbed on to the bed and touched his chest. When he didn't respond, a new wave of tears poured from her eyes and she laid down beside him, holding him. "Please be okay..." she said repeatedly.
"What do we do, Zeus? I mean, this boy is like a son to you..." Hera nearly sneered at her hated husband, as they could all hear what was transpiring.

Kyle moaned softly as she touched him but no more.
Zeus looked to her, and then down to the food watchign as Hades began to devour the banana pudding. "...He is..." Zeus confessed it right then and there, wondering if Cass could hear him

Cassi had heard Hera's statement and so too she heard Zeus's reply, just as she had heard Kyle's groan. Anger welled in her chest, covering her pain and sadness. Sitting up and turning her head to the door, she cried, "Then why don't you do something?? Don't sit on your fat butts and just listen! Help! You're all frauds with extraordinary powers! But if that's not true, then do a damn thing for once!" Cas turned back to Kyle and laid back down, openly sobbing at this point. "Don't leave me, Kyle... Please, don't leave me..." she whispered harshly, saying it continuously.

Zeus looked to her and then sighed. After all Kyle was his son and he headed up to the master bedroom. "Cass, May I come in?" he asked as he knocked kinda sheepishly

Jerking up, Cas faced the door. In a low voice, she nearly growled, "What do you want, you good for nothing 'god'?" She glared, waiting for a response or for him to come in, not caring which he did.

He opened the door and then took a step in. "Cass, i'm sorry for earlier, The storm was not me...i had no clue about it until it happened. and yes i may be a 'god' as you put it but i can still do a few things..." He stepped closer to Kyle putting his right hand on his chest a yellow bolt went into Kyle's chest and he arced his back. Kyle inhaled suddenly and then his heart was back to normal.

Cassi about struck the 'god' when he put another volt into Kyle. But when she realized what it did, she fell back on to Kyle's chest, crying. "You're okay... You're okay... Thank you. Thank you...."

Zeus tapped her shoulder and whispered "when he comes to send him to the Silver Room....ok? You can come too if you wish to hear what i have to say." He then left and returned to the hall were he watched the 'gods' file into their rooms. He went down to Hephaestus and told him everythign would be ok with Cass. and that they had a long day coming tomorrow with the launch of teh new elite force where two of the three major "heroes" were evil and facing only one of the others. After the chat Zeus returned to the Silver Room and waited.

Cassi lay for a few more moments, slowly gaining control. "You used to be so calm..." she told herself. "Come on... What happened? You're all up-tight... Life's not been that cruel to you..." Shaking her head gently as it rested on Kyle's chest, she argued back, "Since when does Life have the final say as to who I am? Since when can it say I should be a different kind of person because I've not gone through some of the things others, stronger others have gone through? Since when does 'Life' dictate my personality?" She had no response and so remained silent...
Her breathing returned to normal and her eyes dried. Emotion was gone at this point. Or would be till she knew for sure that Kyle was okay. At that point, she'd rejoice with every fibre of her being. Until that point, Cassi was spent and she had to fight to stay awake. "I'm going with you to the Silver Room..." she told Kyle as she waited for him to wake. Kissing him softly on the lips, Cas laid down beside him once more, putting her arm on his chest and her head on his shoulder.
