"I never said I was scared to do it. But have you ever woken up a vampire before? Well I haven't and I don't know what kind of reactions they have when woken suddenly. But I'm thinking it's along the lines of catch intruder and kill, then drink blood." She looked to Saradin and smiled. "Why yes I am."

Nailah's empath's senses were tingling. Saradin was trying to get Aura to talk about it. It was still a touchy subject for all of them. But curiosity had never been in short supply for any of them. She wondered how Aura would react to his gentle probing, seeing as the decision she had made earlier. Now she would have to choose once and for all. She could stand by her decision or change it completely. She watched to see what would happen, stroking Rasui gently.

Saradin nodded along with her response and acted calm. "That's good to hear, but is that the whole truth?. No lingering doubts? I can guess what happened before we got there. Don't try to hide it behind a fake smile. I know what they can do to a person." Through his sentences, he slowly shifted tones and was obviously showing concern for her.

"Well I do have some doubts, but I don't think you could guess that easily Saradin. You are no mind reader." He hadn't out right asked and that had allowed for some dancing around with vauge answers. Her smiled softened some at the tone shift in his voice. "But truly Saradin, I'll be fine."

Bastet smiled at Aura's evasion of the topic. But he did sort of ask, and is concerned. She watched as the sun went down and the shadows cascaded over everyone. She looked to Aura's eyes as they turned blue. "Well Aura, you can not hide things forever." She stuck by her answer of do what you wish, but telling is best. Dropping hints is not instigating...really.

"You had to kill them didnt you?" Before he realized it, he was again steeped in his own seriousness. He slowly fell farther into this and wouldnt likely leave without knowing the whole story. "You probably had to kill both of us and yourself as well. I know what thats like. Don't let this come back to haunt you later, you'll only regret it like I do."

Nailah watched the sun set completely. She stared at the sunset and finally found some peace. The worst two days of the year were almost over. She really needed to find a different way though. Drinking herself into oblivion wasn't working. After all she slept the normal amount and didn't even wake up with a good hang over. Maybe it was time to put the whole thing in the past. But could she really do that? Let go of Nadai...forever? She wasnt even paying attention to the conversation anymore.

"Actually I didn't kill myself...doppelganger Vincent killed me, er, doppleganger me." She sighed, Saradin always got what he wanted as well. "I' m sure you have faced something similar, just as you said." She laughed slightly. Trying to hide something from Saradin was like trying to lie to Vincent, almost if not impossible.

"Yes, I've actually had to kill both myself and many of my friends on more than one occasion." Listening to a lecture from yourself about the pains that wanted you dead was shaking for anyone, even Saradin. He doubted anyone could so quickly recover from going through that. "But, how did it happen? I know you wouldn't have gotten careless and wandered there on your own."

Aura, starting to get a little shaken at having to recall details of the previous night, stared at Saradin for a moment. " Well, 'you' led me there." She sighed. "I suppose I was careless just assuming that it really was you...but I followed none the less. And I really had no reason not to trust you..."

This turn was certainly an unexpected one. "I led you there?" Saradin actually carried a look of shock on his face. "In all my years spent there, I've never met a shadow that could reach out to someone while planeswalking. They've always been trapped wholy on the Shadow Plane save for the few that gain full freedom." He rested his head down, trying to contemplate how that was possible and feeling guilt. It was his copy that drew her in, and that copy only represented the absolute worst within him. "I'm sorry."

Bastet listened to the conversation, then thought about how Saradin kept talking about killing them when he left. It always came back to that in her mind, like there was a shadow of a doubt that he still harbored some old feelings, even if he was not conscious of them himself. And if his shadow cold walk freely, they just might have to watch there backs. Her pupils widened from the slight feeling of being threatened.

Aura reached a hand out to rest it on Saradin's shoulder. "It's alright Saradin. I mean it wasn't really you, and you yourself can't control something like that." She couldn't be angry with him, she had no reason to. "And look at it this way, you did come to save the day didn't you?" That had to count for something.

Nailah couldn't take it anymore. She didn't want her empath senses to tell her anything. She focused all her thoughts on the only thing that could distract her: Nadai. Consequently thoughts of Nadai made her want to cry. She had no alternative but to move away. Standing up she said, "I'm sorry but I must take my leave. Thank you for the wonderful meal, Saradin." So saying she picked up her plates and headed for the kitchen.

"A little late, but I did." Saradin's spirit lifted a little on her words. "Of course. it's natural for me to blame myself for that. It's something I'm used to and will have recovered from, don't put much concern in it. The real concern is how it got to you. I'm completely in the dark on that one. Don't trust me readily if you see me there again, check the Soulforge. It's never been mimiced before likely never will." All of the gloom raced about his mind but only served to sharpen his acuity. With this out of the way, he was thinking of other problems that still remained to deal with. "Goodnight Nailah, don't let your dreams haunt you." He also, picked up his plates and carried them off towards the kitchen.
