"I know you're both right. It's just...hard. You have to remember that once did kill friends without care. Both as high priestess and tomb robber. So, it doesn't feel that far from possible to me." She sighed, propping her elbows on the desk. For the first time she caught sight of Vik, sitting on the floor with Munalisk, both next to her chair.

Looking back up to Bastet and Nailah she sighed. "Should...I tell them? I mean I don't know if Vincent and Saradin need to know what I did...it may just make things unstable between us all."

Eclipse laid his head in Aurahkah's lap, whimpering slightly. "That certainly explains a lot my Aurahkah...

She sighed, "It is up to you. You must do what you feel is right. But I assume they must be wondering, they ran up and saw their own dead bodies, as well as yours. But you do not want to cause trouble with them. Then again Saradin mentioned killing us when he left, and came back to a welcome of open arms." She walked back up to them and sat down again, "The main point I am trying to make is that you once killed without care, but now killing the images of two friends is tearing you up, so you have obviously changed."

Nailah sighed, "I agree with Bastet but I do know that this is going to be difficult for you and them. No matter what someone is going to be hurt as a result of this. It is a touchy situation." She stood up and walked to one of the shelves, scanning the books as she talked. "I'm sure things are running through their minds, after all they did see their own bodies, lying dead on the floor. But at the same time, Aurahkah was killed by Vincent. He is probably going to be dealing with that. Against my better judgment I have to say to go ahead and tell them if you feel that it is the best course of action. I am an empathetic and as such I tend to avoid the situations that put people in either sorrowful or angry moods. But again I will not tell you what to do. The choice is yours."

Aura shook her head and stood, returning her journal to the shelf, she'd finish what she had started later. "I will...tell them only if they ask. Saradin seems satisfied enough that we all made it out alright, and Vincent only asks if he feels that something truly needs to be said. She blew the candle that as next to her out, dimming the light in the room, it was irritating her slightly. "And they didn't see how everyone died. They were too busy defending us to check that out. So to their knowledge those shadow doppleganger ripped each other apart, not me. If they want that to be their truth, then let it." She sighed and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "It'll be weeks before I'll be able to wield my sais again..."

Bastet patted her friend on the shoulder, "But the fact is that you will be able to do it again, and you will move on and know that this made you stronger. It is good to tell them only if they ask, because then they would be ready for whatever you would tell them," She looked to Nailah, "Sometimes, as hard as we try those situations can not be avoided." Then she looked back over to Aura and blinked once, "Your eyes are blue. It makes it harder for you to hide in the shadows."

Aura looked over to Bastet. Sure enough, being in a darkened place, her eye color had shifted to the same glowing azure that Eclipse himself had. She blinked a few times at Bastet. "They are? I wonder, what causes it..." She walked back over to the desk and sat on it's edge. "Perhaps you can reteach me Bastet..."

Nailah nodded, "Yes, I know. It's one of the downsides of being an empath. We tend to try to avoid making people feel upset because we feel it. All of it. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it seem like I was telling you what to do. I'm not. I just..." she trailed off unsure of exactly how to tell Aura how she felt. "I just want you to do what you feel is right." She cursed the antidote that she had taken and the powers that she had been given. "Aura's eyes freaked me out. They were so other-worldly and wild. Almost primitive. The eyes of...Eclipse. The eyes of darkness."

"The eyes of darkness and yet they are bright enough to light the shadows lingering in a heart." She looked down, tracing a pattern on the table with her claw. "I would love to have an old fashioned Egyptian sai battle with you, it sounds fun." She turned to Nailah, "Have you been practicing blocking thoe feelings out?"

"Old fashion sai battle..." Aura smiled at Nailah. "Don't worry about it Nailah. I bet if I find a mirror and a dark place, I could freak myself out." She turned her attention to look at Eclipse who's own glowing azure eyes shone back. "Well darling, do they really look like yours?"

Eclipse wagged his tail and looked up at her. "In the dark, yes. But in the light they are your own chocolate colored ones. Perhaps you are tapping into my half of our spirit bond when you're in the dark."

She laughed softly and leaned down, placing a kiss on the wolf's nose. "Perhaps that's exactly what is happening. It makes sense."

Nailah laughed, "Yes, I'm sure you would freak yourself out." Turning to Bastet she said, "Yes, I have been but it hasn't been much use. That's why I wanted to talk to Saradin about the offer he made a few days ago. I intend to take him up on the offer." She stopped and suddenly her stomach growled. "Speaking of Saradin, I wonder what he's done. Probably prepard a five course meal by now. I'm hungry. I'm goign to go see if I can convince him to let me in and possibly feed me. Anyone coming?"
She stood up and walked to the door of the library, pausing to see if anyone would follow.

Bastet grinned, "That sounds fun. I could really go for a five course meal." She got up and moved towards the door. "And he can not keep us out forever, especially if we are hungry. It might cheer you up Aura, so what about you?"

From out of the kitchen doors poured the heat of several stove flames as well as the powerful aroma of a dozen or so different meals. Meats: beef, pork, poultry, fish; they were all set out across the table tops some uncooked, others fully ready to be eaten. And plenty other things as well, salads, puddings, soups, vegetables and fruit, all sitting out in the open. Everything out right now was meant to keep though, all of it would be fine served later, the main courses were to be prepared last of all. Saradin meanwhile buzzed about keeping ready to take care of all the things cooking at once.

She looked up from the wolf and to the girls. "Sounds like a plan to me. And you're right Bastet, besides it's technically my kitchen. Come on Eclipse." Aura stood and followed by Eclipse, she passed both Bastet and Nailah, heading for the kitchen.

Nailah hurried in front of Aura and ran down the hallway on her way to the kitchen. She called out, "Chef Sarah! We are coming to force you to feed us! Come on! We're hungry!" She clapped her hands and laughed. Turning back to the others she yelled, "Come on you two! Hurry!"

The sound of several familiar voices drawing nearer sent shivers down Saradin's spine. They were coming for his food. There clearly wasnt enough time to hide it all away, and stopping them wasnt really an option. Instead, he slumped into a chair stressed by the coming interuptions and awaited the axe to fall.
