Kenji walked down the halls about to enter the kitchen as he saw saradin rushing everyone out. this time there were two others he hadnt met before. he walked towards the group standing there behind them and watched them not sure of what to do.

Bastet rolled her eyes, "Do not worry, I will be good. relatively good anyway. Besides she said she would tell us later. This is later." She walked into the library and to Aura. Sitting down, she leaned her head on one paw, "So, anything interesting lately that might cause despondence?"

Nailah walked in after Bastet and said, "I believe Bastet means that 'later' has come. I only saw the end Aura and I am extremely curious about the events leading to that point. So spill." As an afterthought she quickly took a chair near the desk and added, "Please."

Vik bowed back. "Welcome to Archaic Mansion. I'm Vik and this is Munalisk, my dragon."
"Hope you like it here."

Aura looked to the two Egyptians in front of her, the candle light casting faint shadows across their faces. "Yes...I supposed I do have some explain to do." She took a deep breath and threaded a hand into Eclipse's fur as she retold what had really happened.

"I had shadow walked in the shadow plane, merely intending to practice my powers. Saradin was there, which didn't seem out of the ordinary and he told me to follow him. So I did. We stepped through this large seemingly blob of darkness and he immediately turned on me, sword raised to me."

"I figured her was joking at first, or some sort of thing he was doing. You know how the man is, that is until he full out attacked me. I tried to reason with him but he just persisted in his attack and soon he had his gun out, using that to try and kill me as well. He was insistent that I was killed. So we fought...and then in the end...I killed him. I had killed Saradin." She paused for a moment, fingers tightening around the quill she was holding.

"After that I was alone, then, from the shadows that were surrounding us, came a doppleganger of myself. I was telling myself awful things...and she, or rather me even took a taste of Saradin's blood...and I myself could taste it as well." Her voice chocked slightly and she frowned.

"Then Vincent was there...and he started berating me as well. They were both telling me that I needed to die, that my existence here was wrong. Then Vincent...sank his fangs into her neck...and drank of her till she died. He then turned his attention to me. He wanted to try and turn me...or kill me. And when I told him no, he only came after me. When his threatening wasn't getting to me, he told me to kill him." Aura was simply staring down at the desk, not trying to make eye contact. The hand that held the quill was shaking slightly.

"I refused to...I tired to explain to him on what he was questioning on. Namely one's self pain. But he wouldn't listen to me...at all...and I finally gave in...and killed him to...I killed him and Saradin, not anything else in that place did. Just me."She set down her quill and raised her hands to wipe at her eyes.

"I killed them both, yet they are really alive. I killed people that I love and that are my friends without a second thought. Saradin said that nothing that happened in there would happen out here. But what if I turn on you all? That was what they were always telling me. That I was cruel enough to kill you all. I can't even be around Vincent and Saradin without feeling uneasy around them..." She paused, letting what she said sink in to the two women. "Oh and, Nailah, you know the rest."

Bastet blinked taking in everything that had happened. Then she watched all of the emotions flash across Aura's face. "Now I really wish I had been up." She sighed and covered Aura's hand with her paw in friendly comfort. "I trust you and know you would never come after me. You did not really kill anyone anyway, and the things you did kill that resembled our friends, provoked you. You did what was necessary for your own survival." She smiled a little, and sat back linking her paws together in thought, "Besides you know that our big, strong protective men could not harm you as long as they are in their right minds. It seems that you did not enjoy the killings, so do not think so low of yourself." Then she looked to Nailah, "So, was there anything else of note?" She nodded to Vik as he came on.

Bastet leaned back picturing what she was told, trying to imagine the horror they felt. But try as she might, she could not feel how they did, partially because she had not been there. Even the picture she formed did not scare her much, because she knew the real people to be fine. She became frustrated at her lack of feelings, over the years of killing and sorrow, she had done a rather good job of desensitizing herself, thinking that she would never need to feel sadness or regret again. Of course now she realized that those had been foolish thoughts.

She got up and stood against a book laden wall, thinking some more, she looked down at the floor. "That is horrible, that someone should be put thought that. Having to kill the images that resembled her friends, thinking that they were her friends trying to get her." She looked back over to them, "What brought this on?"

"You can hardly blame yourself Aura. Everything you did, was done for a reason. Had you not killed them, they would have killed you." She paused for a moment considering Bastet's question. "I wonder if maybe it happens at one time to everyone. Like Saradin said, they were a part of you, the darkness in everyone comes out in their pain, and they inhabit the shadow world. I'm sure with being the result of pain they seek a way to relieve themselves of the massive burden they must carry. And they used you to try and accomplish this goal. You could not do this to the real Saradin or Vincent. Or any of us for that matter. The Aura I know couldn't hurt us. And that person...you were in the shadow realm was not the real you. You were forced to lean on survival instincts and push your real thoughts and feelings aside. Of course their deaths affected you and they will for a while. But they are all alive and well here in your manor. They wont' hurt you and you won't hurt them. You will only hurt them if you hesitate near them or refuse to touch them. Especially Vincent. They will be confused and upset and the pain will only cause them to retreat, possibly destroying everything you have built. I pray you won't let that happen." She closed her eyes, "Please Aurahkah, don't let that happen. Don't push us away."
