what kinda curse? *curious*
sweatdrop *sigh*
Well, you see... I have this curse on me.
It's kind of a long story, but in short, way back when I was just a mage in training, just a little snippet of an apprentice caster, barely strong in the Powers to summon enough flame to light a cigarette, my teacher was a wise old wizard named Caraz.
Before, after... hell, even during our lessons, while he was teaching me how to bend the forces of our world to my will, we used to have these deep philisophical discussions about all kinds of things... and he used to give me all sorts of advice.
Back then, (this was far before meeting Haru, of course) I was quite a lonely kid, and hankering for some female companionship. I knew Caraz was old and wise, so I asked him what I should do about it. He said I was on my own on that one.
smile I told him that if I got better in enchantments, I could just put a spell on a girl to make her love me. (
stressed Yes, I know... I was young and stupid.) He said that finding that special someone was all about being in the right place at the right time. He told me that what I had in mind was not only no way to get to a girl's heart, but so immoral and wrong amongst civilized spellcasters that if I said one more word about it, he'd make me regret it.
biggrin I asked him if there was an easier enchantment to just get a girl to want to go to bed with me.
He cursed me faster than you could say, "counter-spell."
He told me that since I wasn't patient enough to wait for the right place and the right time... from that day forward I would have to struggle against the
The Curse Of The Bleeding Ears. gonk Ever since then, even though I've long since learned the lessons he taught me, and many more besides, I have this... thing... because of the Curse.
Everytime I walk into a room, where other people are already talking... I always come in at the worst possible point in the conversation.
crying Gaia... other places... my own damn room! It doesn't matter. I always walk in at the point in the conversation that makes me want to shove a Daemon's claw in my ear. Even if it's totally innocent to begin with.
If you all were sitting in this room having a nice discussion about the feeding schedules of free range roosters... I would have walked in the room right at the exact second someone said:
blaugh "Yep, and I didn't think either one of those cocks could get any bigger than they were!"
It's my cross to bear...
