Yue Kurine ((*prodes at Miaka* Am I the only Suzaku left? o.o Eep. This really isnt making it hard for Seiryuu! >.>; )) ((Perhaps you are the only Suzaku...all the easier to crush you!!! XD No...seriously...we have been talking about prospective additions of characters (For the sake of the story) since the pickings ofpeople to characters ratio is as it is. Right now however...I donb't think most of us are in the position to take on another. I am not as of now...but if I get to that point..I will let you know.)) Nakago- ))) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Korin-Chan When she was at last within his arms she released a delighted giggle and pressed a kiss to his cheek, this of course invoked a smile from the young man and he quickly calmed - however, as the tiny girl continued to hug his neck, she glanced up into the rafters and mouthed one word.
Soon. ninja ninja ninja ::All three "escorts" clenched their hands over thier ears as the strange girl let out her shriek, the two behind shrinking back from the cloud until they could get their bearings. The one in the rafters, covered his ears for the duration of the scream, and then removed them afterwards, not averting his eyes. As soon as he interpereted he ominous message behind her single word, he smirked:: "Why not now?"
::With one swift motion, his hand dissapeard under the black cloak and reapeared for a split second hurtling a slew of darts followed by a second handof daggers and a finishing off with a single ninja star straight at the girs head:: ::Tenkou sank back into his "throne" and almost cocked a smirk. He would bide his time. This was not the only trick he had up his sleeve..and this one was by no means rendered useless.::- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Korin-Chan The smile soon turned into a cruel smirk and he rose to his feet once more, dusting the debris and dust away from his legs before he began to approach the room in which the priestess lay - even if she moved by the time he would reach the abode - he would always wait.
After all, it was time to play. Niftyness Yui said nothing as her eyes remained focused on Nakago while he spoke. Her thoughts slightly wandered off every now and then, trying to think of a way to help out in the matter but it seemed Nakago was right, like he always was, there really wasn't anything they could do for now.
"Hai Nakago." Yui replied as she stood up and waited for Nakago to lead the way since the palace was still pretty much a bit of a maze to her. She was a bit hungry and maybe if they got some food into their stomachs then they would be able to think more clearly. She couldn't help but worry about the situation at hand though. Why the Byakko had chosen to interfere with their summoning was beyond her. She didn't know what they would gain from it except Kutou becoming their enemy. ::Nakago froze for a split second, and winced:: 'Another one...So soon...This is becomming intolerable.'
"It appears we have another visitor...Such an aggressive approach too...I think they may try to attack us again. Stay close Lady Yui."
::Walking down the halls towards the dining hall, he reached under his cape to pull out the second earring that Tenkou had fashioned, and just as he brought it out in his hand, it disintigrated to dust...its counterpart having been destroyed, it was of no further use. He turned his hand over quickly, letting the fragments fall to the floor to be lost, letting out a slight breath in almost disgusted fashion.::
"Here we are..." ::he spoke quickly, diverting attention from his "odd" behavior. A servant opened the door to the dining hall letting them in and a selection of servants scurried around putting the finishing touches on the setup and meal::
::Two servants shot to the head of the table pulling out the head chair and the one closest to it. Nakago extended his hand for Yui to sit and waited::

[***A Near 'Miss'***]
The girl promptly giggled as the darts and ninja star were hurled towards her, there was something strange about her behavior for she didn't move nor fear the on coming attack. Instead, she made a gentle movement with her hand, placing it against Tokaki's forehead and he quickly vanished - just as the darts collided with her head and passed straight through it...
They pinned themselves against the wall and now - unsupported, the tiny girl dropped to the floor once more, dusting off her robes with a disgruntled snort before turning her gaze back towards the ninja that had attacked her. Her expression was calm and within moments she had pursed her lips - the ethereal white tendrils beginning to snake out from the 'solid' shell she resided in.
"It is now." She replied at last - indicating that what she had foreseen was here.
[***Dinner Time***]
Their newly acquired visitor had never been known for his patience and as he caught the 'scent' of his targets he quickly turned in their direction, his ethereal wings stretching on a few occasions in an attempt to remain flexible. The cruel smirk deepened upon his lips and as he approached the dining hall he could only anticipate the reaction he would get.
However for now he would play things safe and with a brief murmur the armour that now enveloped him evaporated, leaving simple robes and a staff within his hand. The staff in truth was unneeded as he was hardly blind as he made himself out to be, but the blind beggar act had yet to fail him and so - he lowered his chi as much as possible to cloud his presence and slowly made his way towards the dining hall once more.
However instead of entering directly, he sauntered around the 'back' and took the opportunity to enter from behind the curtains. It was then, that he stumbled from behind the curtains and clattered against the table with his staff.
"Who's there?!" He demanded loudly although he was well aware of the answer.
Strange though - he looked terribly familiar, almost a little like Subaru or would that be the other way around?

"Hai Nakago." Yui immediately replied back as she followed Nakago down the hallways. Even though her gaze remained to the halls uphead, she still watched Nakago from the corner of her eye and it greatly puzzled her how strangely he was acting with a simple earring. She was about to ask him if he was alright but didn't get the chance, seeing that they were already standing infront of the dinning room doors. Seconds didn't even pass when the doors were opened by servants and Nakago gestured for her to sit down.
Yui lightly glanced over at Nakago once more before she slowly walked over to her chair but her attention was quickly diverted away from her chair at the sound of someone crashing into the table and the frantic shouts of the blind man up ahead. "Oh dear, are you alright sir?" Yui asked in her concern voice as she rushed over to aide the blind man, despite what Nakago had told her earlier about staying close. She couldn't just stand there and watch him crash into other things and he was only a helpless blind man.

He leapt toi the floor, tucking one arm back in his cloak, and as he hit, tumbled into roll, the final result leaving him anough momentum to en up on his feet striding straight towards her, while unsheathing a sickle like weapon. He was not bothered at first, but then Yui moved towards him, all with good intention, but intentions could be costly. He had not paid enough attention after the initial arrival of their new guest but deep down KNEW this had to be it, so under the circumstances he felt he could afford his actions.:: ::He moved quickly, almost to quick for a normal person to see more than a blur, and positioned himself between Yui and the stranger, rudely pushing her away, though by no means with any significant amount of his strength. He decided an effective demonstration would say more than his words in the form of an apology. He extended his hand bringing it to level with the intruders face. His character glowed lightly, and a small orb of blue energy appeard betwixt his fingertips::

Korin-Chan Subaru smiled at the concern shown towards her and offered a slight nod as she rose to her feet and dusted her robes down. He was right, Kutou was not a nice land but then again she did come from Nyosei which was worse than Kutou so she had seen it all.
"I'll be fine," She assured him and shook her head somewhat slowly, "Byakko will protect me and Kutou is not that bad so long as you avoid blondie and his cronies." She grumbled, her mind taking itself back to the encounters she and her friends had had with Nakago.
"As for your seishi - usually clearing your mind can allow you to sense them. They do give off a distinct aura." Blondie? Nuriko thought. Not wanting to intrude too much, he didnt ask or press her further. She was probably tired from her journey anyways.
"Of course. Why dont we head over to Tama-chans house before it gets too dark. Tomorrow we'll still take you to the borders of Kutou."
He explained, extending his hand and pointing in the direction of the village. Tamahome's house wasnt located too far from the forest. He smiled at her last comment.
"I believe thats what attracted us to you in the first place. But I see we were wrong, or at least half."
Nuriko stated with a small laugh.

[***The Secret of the Earring - An Aswer.***]
The sudden increase in foreign chi before his eyes caused the 'blind' man to snort in disapproval. It was then that he calmly matched Nakago's stance, his own arm rising as the white symbol flashed up upon his forehead. For a few moments his expression remained stoic but then a smile appeared on his lips - evidently the concern Yui had shown for him impressed him.
"Oh I am very well, I thank you for your kind thoughts," He replied to Yui with a slight not towards her direction as he dropped the staff to the ground and hid his now free hand behind his back. His eyes would have narrowed - however at that moment he tugged the robes from behind and they promptly fell away, a sudden flash of white light restoring the armour to the seishi's frame.
"But I have business to attend to with your apparent leader," He purred, his now helmeted face turning towards Nakago. A brow would have arisen had it not been for the helmet, but eventually he lowered his hand and backed away, chuckling coldly at Nakago's sudden anticipation at an immediate attack - was he really that foolish?
"You see - your friend here is killing one of my friends," He explained gently. He promptly folded his arms against his chest and glanced between the pair although such a motion would have been considered impossible for one who had no gaps to see through.
"And I dislike it when my friends are harmed," The man continued, leaning against the table as he spoek, turning his gaze towards his now steel tipped toes - he considered it appropriate to address Yui as opposed to Nakago, he was in no mood to deal with a child that would argue back at him, "And as a result I wish for reparations - but he appears unwilling to return the earring that keeps one of my friends alive..."
He took a breath and then he grimaced.
"For the corruption of one seishi, the attemptive murder of a second and the manipulation of my daughter...Well - how can you repay me? I assume you are the priestess and thus I ask you for it is YOU who controls your warriors. How will you repay my kin and I? Will you return the earring? Will you release that which is corrupt for healing...?"
He fell silent once more and then he extended his hand towards the priestess, opening his palm to reveal another earring almost identical to that which Nakago held in his captivity.
"Let me make things a little clearer." He decided that making things completely clear would bring better results, "That earring that you now hold is the Shinzahou...The Shinzahou from our long dead priestess - the only one with the ability to release it is Tatara for before he died he sealed it. However in his rebirth he required it to survive - if he dies...then the Shinzahou is lost." It seemed to hold very little significance until he completed what he desired to say.
"If the Shinzahou is lost...and you do not make ammends - then you will lose your seishi too, I will make sure of this and you will not have what is required to summon your own deity, Seiryuu. Am I making sense now or do you need to know more?" He finished at last, keeping his palm extended - where the tiny earring glittered in the staggered lighting.
Nevertheless, he had given the information too readily. Even if it was trapped inside the earring it was just magic wasn't it? There was definately something amiss...he was hiding something.
[***Genie Jambre!***]
The tiny girl watched the attacker closely before giggling at the pair of sickles, she found little to fear from them and due to their lack of understanding for what they faced - she found it extremely funny.
"Silly!" She scolded as she ran forwards, her arms outstretched towards the approaching man as if to hug him however with each step, the wispy white tendrils extended outwards in an erratic fashion - predominantly towards her new target. These tendrils emanating with a cold and unearthly aura - one might have said they resembled the feeling one had when a shiver ran up their spine.
...For example, when they had a feeling they were not exactly facing something that was alive...
[***Idle Chit Chat - Subaru***]
Subaru grinned after so slightly and shook her head as she folded her arms across her chest, despite being tired - the conversation she was presented with had potential. So he had sensed her or at least something odd about her and was in search of the Suzaku seven, their priestess seemed nice, if not a little boistrous on occasions...
"Well, sometimes finding seishi of another deity can be useful - if they can sense someone of another deity then they can help you, you know?" She enquried gently and shook her head again as she glanced towards the village in which Nuriko directed her vision to.
She grimaced - she had never been one for foreign visits as they often treated her in a most peculiar manner but she had come this far and her smile soon returned to her lips as she glanced back at Nuriko and nodded.
"Somewhere nice to sleep would be wonderful - I admit that!" She chirped and then raised a brow in question, "So...how many wariors to you still have to find, if I may be so bold as to ask?"

Yui's eyes widened in startlement as she was suddenly faced to face with Nakago's back within a blink of an eye. She knew that he was pretty powerful but he still suprised her sometimes and she was puzzled at his actions since he usually had good reasons for them but this was a helpless blind man. What was so harmful about that? Before she could ask Nakago what was the meaning of this, she felt herself being pushed back by his hand.
Yui gave Nakago a questioning stare that was soon broke off as the blind man revealed his true identity to them and all her questions were answered but soon were replaced with different questions as the seishi spoke to her. So he was one of the seishi's from the Byakko that had been interfering with their plans...Yui faintly frowned at the man's accusations and threatening words. How dare he accuse Nakago of such things when it was his friends that were first to attack. Nakago had already given her a summary of what was all going on while she was temporarily ill and she hated the fact that he was twisting Nakago's actions around. Yui lightly bit her tongue to prevent herself saying something unwise. She knew that it was pointless to argue with a man who seemed convinced that it they who started the attack and not his friends but it didn't really matter what his thoughts were what mattered was settling things as peaceful as possible.
It was time for negotitions but the little part about the earring being returned to his friend...wasn't that the same earring she saw Nakago destroy from the corner of her eye but then again she didn't get a good look at the earring since it was only a sideglance. If that had been the same earring the man wanted back then there could be some trouble.
Yui slowly reapproached Nakago and lightly placed her hand on his arm that meant to say stand down before she shifted her gaze back to the intruder and spoke, "I apologize if my words seem to be blunt but it was your friends who attacked the palace and Nakago had no choice but to stop them and if your friends are truly corrupted it is of their own free will for people do have the ability to make their own choices." Yui explained, pausing a second before saying more, "However, if you give me your word of you and your friends not interfering with us any longer then I'll see to it that you captive friend is released and the earring returned to its rightful owner." Yui sincerely spoke out, knowing that her decision probably wasn't wise but it was a risk she was willing to take.

At once, the peculiar man smirked - so she was prepared to negotiate and again he was impressed by her actions. Despite all he had heard, she definately had potential but her words were somewhat unfounded and he promptly with drew his hand, closing his fist over the earring once more.
"Incorrect." He replied softly, in a tone that held no malice nor an intent to harm and he backed away from the pair to indicate he was by no means in the process of preparing to attack, "Our reasons for 'attacking' or 'interfering' are legitmate considering the threats on our homeland and the homeland of our deity." He explained softly and then he began to elaborate.
"You see - Kutou has, according to many, been in the process of preparing to attack the various lands surrounding it, Sairou included. It is therefore not appropriate to ensure the safety of your own land by hindering the opposing side first?" He enquired and shook his head, releasing a heavy sigh as he toyed with the robes that hugged at his legs - only his chest was completely protected from on going attacks, in fact, one might assume that they were but ceremonial garb.
"Unfortunately my daughter has never been diplomatic in her approaches which does not surprise me in the slightest - her mother was dismal nevertheless the fact that your warrior sent little spies after her and attempted to intrude upon her private thoughts and the thoughts of the now dying celestial warrior bids me to question whether or not their initial visits to Kutou were warranted."
He paused again and briefly kicked at the floor to adjust his boot, leaning down expertly to tighten the straps beneath his skirt like robes before straightening once more, the celestial symbol of Toroki flickering and then fading beneath his helm.
"What right do you have to intrude on the thoughts of another?" He enquired at last and motioned to Yui ever so slightly with his hand, "Would you like me to read your thoughts? Or the thoughts of your friends so that I may turn them against you or may use the information to my advantage to crush you at a given time?" He enquired, folding his arms across his chest as a grimace developed on his lips.
"Intruding on someone's private thoughts without consent is considered an attack in itself - had the thoughts been left in peace perhaps then the seishi would not have retaliated. In essence, in returning the 'blow' with one such as this could have set things off in the first place...After all, initially the pair only came to visit - did they not?" He finished in a soft voice.
...How did he know all this...? Had Nakago been playing close attention to his chi, he would have discovered that this man could match him with ease - however, if TOMO had been present, he would have recognised the foreign chi, as the very energy that had shielded Subaru's mind when he had attempted to see too deeply into her past.

Nuriko listened carefully to Subaru's words, he wasnt exactly sure how it all worked, he was pretty new at this guardian/warrior game. Afterall, he spent the majority of his life in the palace as a female. The more time he spent talking to Subaru the more he began to trust her. He noted her grimace as he suggested the house, she couldnt really thing sleeping in a tree was still better, could she? People from Sairou were strange.
"Dont worry, Tama-chan is a warrior like myself, he has a really nice family too."
Nuriko smiled, thinking back to their first visit when he met his father and his brothers and sisters and Tamahomes reason to be so moeny-grubbing all the time. He turned his attention back to Subaru and thought about the question for a moment.
"Hm... well, Tama-chan should still be around somewhere, than theres Hotohori-sama but he's back at the capital... so I suppose that leaves the remaining four.
He sweatdropped, that really wasnt very good for the amount of time they'd been looking for them. If they really were attrached to their Miko, shouldnt this be a lot easier?

"Four more to go, hm?" Subaru contemplated this number and thought back briefly to how she had accidently run in to Tatara not long ago - immediately she had accepted and trusted him and oddly enough, she thought that their close relationship in regards to their celestial abilities had something to do with that.
"Well! That's pretty good - you never know as you may bang into them!" She pointed out knowingly, a smile flashing up upon her lips. If these Suzaku were anything like the Byakko - they would run in to their own kin at the most unusual of moments.
Then again - after a few moments she smiled again, this time much more warmly as she observed the pair again. She had a suspicion that Nuriko's brief look of confusion in relation to the house had a little something to do with her reaction to the suggestion - it wasn't that she didn't like the idea, a nice bed would be warm and she would love to stay...
But uh...How would the locals treat her?
"Are the locals friendly?" She piped up suddenly.

Toroki At once, the peculiar man smirked - so she was prepared to negotiate and again he was impressed by her actions.
::Even though the visitor meant him in stating "Your apparent leader"...he would turn this around and make him say it. For now, the facade would continue under the presumption that the Kutou Emperor was in charge. If he made a direct attack when it came to this matter, he could get a better insight into her feelings. The earring in question...the real one, tucked safely away. 'So...that is why Tenkou had taken such an interest in it...That kind of power...' His thoughts were interrupted though as the "diplomatic negotiations" continued. He was appealing to Yui more than Nakago, and that could make things interesting, for either side. At the sensation of her hand on his arm, he lowered his own hand, resuming a standard soldiers' stance, the character on his forehead dissapearing in an instant. Despite her age and lack of time and even experience in this world, she appeared to have the traits of an up and coming diplomat. He maintained his stance not blocking Yui, but keeping in a position slightly in front. The words 'My Daughter' caught his immediate attentions. Even though he was almost always addressing Yui, Nakago took this as time to intercede.::
"According to my discussion with your daughter...She would have done the same things that we have done...were the situations reversed."
::The discussion of mind reading came up...and this put Nakago a bit on the defensive....He would know if somone was attempting to intrude on his own thoughts, and there would be a battle to do so. He wondered...if one were to read Yui's thoughts...what would they find? She was attacked when she came...and nakago was the next thing she saw, caring for her, tending her....only her personal thoughts that he did not know...momories and the like...but those could not hurt him...or them...not in any way he could predict.::
"The Lady has made it quite clear that she disagree's with the Kutou emperor's choice of action concerning wars, while Kutou itsself is in such dissarray. "
::He paused::
"Hmmph...The initial visit ended in a threatening manner...and such threats were not warranted....what have you to fear of armies...if your diety has already been summoned?..."
::He knew what would soon come, so to be straightforward would be to their advantage now. He reached in and pulled forth the real earring. He held it out in similar fashion between Yui and Toroki::

Korin-Chan "Four more to go, hm?" Subaru contemplated this number and thought back briefly to how she had accidently run in to Tatara not long ago - immediately she had accepted and trusted him and oddly enough, she thought that their close relationship in regards to their celestial abilities had something to do with that.
"I hope we find them soon. We promised Hotohori-sama we would return as soon as possible."
He felt bad that they had to leave him back at the palace, against his wishes. But it wouldnt be wise to have him travelling about freely at such a time with all the political arguments that have been arising.
Nuriko tilted his head to the side, regarding her question, it seemed kinda odd to him, but some places were a little... less than friendly.
"Of course. Its a very peaceful village, everyone here is very kind and accepting. Unfortunately, it also makes a nice target for enemies, like the spies and Wolf boy we met earlier..."

[***De Ja Vu***]
Subaru's mind flashed back to the very day she had left Sairou - the rumours of the attack on Sairou planned by Kutou followed by the apparent rumours of a violent wolf like creature lurking within the forest. Not only that but the black clad men had been mentioned as well - furthermore, as she thought about it she began to have a sickening suspicion that they were linked.
So that village had been attacked...then initially she must have been close by here. Somewhere around here she had met Tatara and therefore that meant that maybe THIS was the forest she had first encountered on her way towards Kutou. It was a peculiar sensation, one that sent shivers up her spine and she shook her head.
"Did you locate the wolf and dispatch of it?" She enquired gently, canting her head to one side with a small frown. Had she not promised herself she would have dispatched of it? If it was still alive then there wold be a few problems no doubt - no, she wouldn't let that happen.
"I would be honoured to stay with you," She added quickly though mentally she was anticipating her first true encounter with the wolf like being...
[***Diplomacy***]
"Unlike you however, my daughter has a more diplomatic approach and her mind is not corrupted by a desire for revenge," Toroki pointed out coolly, his visored gaze turning towards Nakago briefly. "She would deny or confirm the rumours rather than drawing something out - alas you did not do that, rather you led her on until she could only conclude that you were perfectly content with the plans to attack the neighbouring countries."
"Strange though -" He mused as an after thought as he turned towards Yui again, taking a brief note of the earring in Nakago's hand and the aura that emanated from it, "You were rather intent in touching her in places you were not invited to -" It was his turn to twist the words of the young man, he was tired of the game play, tired of the lies and if the pathetic welp truly wished to manipulate his priestess then he could, he was here for only two things.
"I wonder, could you have done that to anybody else?" He purred and then chuckled as he glanced towards the earring once more. The question that struck him most however was in regards to Byakko himself, was the child really that foolish?
"Only when the times look dire does a deity step in," He explained at last, "Smiting those that desire to completely destroy its beloved lands but only then will it occur - before that thousands will be slaughtered and nobody likes death - except for you who seems to get a little kick out of attempting to destroy seishi." He added before dropping the fake earring in his palm to the ground - before it collided however it burst into countless shards and he nodded.
"Keiko!" He roared, his voice echoing off the walls as his symbol flashed briefly, "Prepare." He finished and turned towards Nakago again, "You are aware of what I desire." He murmured softly as he began to move again, however his movements were slow and calculated - he continued to move in an elaborate fashion until he had his hand placed on Yui's shoulder.
Once again, he addressed her.
"Do you really wish to be viewed as the being who ordered the destruction of thousands of people? As priestess, all see you as this - you are their representative, their little ray of light...but a murderer?" He enquired and shook his head as he released a heavy sigh and dropped his arm again.
With that he backed away and turned his back towards the pair, glancing briefly to his side before nodding as the dark shadow descended upon him and encircled him like a delicate black ribbon of silk. At once, the air around him became cold to the touch and a small smirk appeared on his lips, he knew his little dreamer was enjoying herself but he would have to spoil her fun eventually.
"Keiko." He repeated as he turned his gaze towards the wall and then began to walk towards it, his hand outstretching to touch it - but instead...he walked right through it.
"It is your choice priestess." His voice echoed in a strange manner about the banquet hall, "I cannot make it for you - if you so choose to return what you have stolen and now hold hostage then meet me in the Western gardens; I guarantee we will leave you in peace." And with that, the voice fell silent.
However the shadowed figure with the peculiar ethereal wings continued his way down the hallway towards where Tokaki was hidden and the little girl did play...
[***Keiko***]
The loud roar that emerged from the mouth of Toroki could easily be heard down the hallway, sweeping through the air in its search for that which it desired to control. At once, the tiny girl obediently stopped midstep and glanced up, a bright smile flashing onto her lips as the ethereal tendrils moved inwards to surround her in a white cacoon.
To touch when it was not controlled, the tendrils were harmless - but in a large shield like cacoon of the concentrated substance, it would shatter every blade and most likely damage the hand that struck it.
And with that...she lay in wait as the footsteps grew louder down the hallway and the tiny childs voice did echo within the air around her.
"It comes."

Nuriko didnt say anything for a moment, he didnt like the fact that the creature was still around somewhere or had retreated back to Kutou. He finally shook his head
"No, but I plan to. I wont let it harm anyone. The spies that were sent are a waste of energy, but the wolf creature, it possessed a great power that rivaled my own."
He spoke quietly as he thought back to his encounter with it. The beasts sheer power and force, even with his full strength he wasnt able to take it down. He absently nodded his head upon hearing her acceptance.
"Hai. This way."
Nuriko gave her a half smile before turning and starting for the village.
