I hate it when people say he's gay. He has a lot of respect for Kurama and Yusuke (plus some for Kuwabara despite their squabbles) but he is certainly not gay. He didn't grow up exactly pleased with women and girls so he doesn't crush as far as I know but he is straight.

Kaedehime2201 I hate it when people say he's gay. He has a lot of respect for Kurama and Yusuke (plus some for Kuwabara despite their squabbles) but he is certainly not gay. He didn't grow up exactly pleased with women and girls so he doesn't crush as far as I know but he is straight. It could either way in my book. I do ship him with Kurama, but if you're going by facts then you can't really tell. It's not like it's ever been put out there in the manga or anime.

Half-Demon Kaoru Hey KUWABARA IS FUNNY!!!!But very..very..very dumb stare i like kuwabara...but not as much as hiei.. kurama...yoko..trunks Kuwabara is perfectly fine, I think. He can be smart when he wants to and he even gets into a High school, whereas, Yusuke is stuck working making Ramen for people. ((It's been a while since anyone's posted in here, so I thought I'd revive it. ))

death_scyth yo every one here it is in the japanese version manga he was indeed gay! but in the american cartoon as well as japanese version he is strait and is in love with a girl but i dont remember he name I have almost all of the mangas and I've read the rest I don't have online, so that gives me proof that it is not mentioned anywhere in the manga whether Hiei-kun is homosexual or not.

the.fly.on.the.wall Well, in the japanise verison kurama is bi... Where can you find the japanese versions of YYH? Tell me so I can look it up too. ( <-- I'm purely just curious because I can't seem to find them anywhere)

Actually, Kuwabara and Yuusuke were in high school at the beginning of the anime/manga.
But Kuwabara got into a very prestigious college whereas Yuusuke decided not to go. He just opened his own ramen joint, like you said. ^-^
(He probably couldn't have gotten into a college anyway if he decided to try. sweatdrop )
Anyway, I just thought I'd clear that up. ^-^
