Well, that's an arguable point.
So Link does eat a little in the games,
but never do you see him eat anything sustaining.
Or conducting any other basic necessary process to keep the human body maintained.

I for one feel really sorry for him.

And one of few games in which you can actually use 'the facilities' is Persona 3. Given that it isn't required, you just can. Not sure an the eating side of it, since I've only played the PSP version so far, which is only in Japanese right now." D;
