She wanted to reach Mouse in some way, since she was getting no response from him. When she opened her mouth to speak again, a cloud of dust shot up and blocked her view. She pulled her arms back and coughed, rubbing her eyes free of the dust. When she finally opened her eyes, he was gone. She felt hurt. But something was wrong, well, everything was wrong.
She spun around and looked back at the town, now noticing all of the destruction and the dead bodies strewn haphazardly throughout the main road. Her hand flew to her mouth and the tears that had formed streamed down her cheeks.

"Why didn't you kill me?" asked the boy he had picken up the dagger. "Do you want me to kill you?" asked Caliesil turning abck towards the boy. The boy stepped back an angry look on his face and terror once again in his eye's "No." "then stop asking stupid an dpointless question's you will learn in time. Now what is your name?" "Almon." caliesil grinned "Alright then Almon you are going to be my apprentise. Now I have to tell Necros this so he won't kill you any time were in battle he will tell all other demon's and so on. So what do you think?" "Why would I become your apprentise. I hate you. You killed all my family!" yelled the Almon. That's exactly why you little Almon. All that hate inside you make you perfect for this, thought Caliesil. "Well either that or I kill you. So be my apprentise or I kill you. Which one?" The Almon'seye's went wide "Apprentise." "wise choice. Now come on we have to talk o some one." Caliesil walked over to Acryn Almon right behind him the dagger still in hand. It was like a short sword to the 6 year old. "Acryn I would like you to meet my new and very yung apprentise Almon. Almon be polite to the lady and bow." Almon didn't bow and Caliesil cuffed him then the boy did as he wasd told and made a small bow to Arcyn.

Aeife

PostPosted: Thu Oct 21, 2004 10:55 am

Aeife tripped over several exposed roots and rocks as she ran back towards the fallen village, falling only once. But nothing would detur her. Her bare and delicate feet were now cut, bloody, and bruised. The journey from the temple through the forest was hard... There were many thick vines and brush that she had to make her way through as there was no beaten path... At least none that existed now.

It seemed to take her forever to reach Quon. All the while the smoke rose through the air, leaving an ominous signal that wove high into the dark sky. An hour went by... Two hours... Two and a half... And finally she made her way out of the forest and to the outskirts of town.

When she arrived at the town entrance, she saw a sight that made her fall to her knees. Everything was in ruin... And all the people... She couldn't remember anything from when the demon power that once lay dormant within her took over. Seeing such desimation was like slamming into a brick wall miles thick. Though it had taken her hours to make her way back, everything was still the same as when she had left it.

Her throat tightened and her eyes filled with tears. She began to choke on all her mixed feelings of the moment until she was finally able to release it in a loud, crying scream of disbelief. Her head lowered and it was then that she realized how battered her body really was. Her clothes were torn to pieces and her light skin was covered with blood. Though it wasn't her own... It was the dark, putrid and vile blood of the demon Necros. But there was human blood there, too.

It suddenly occured to her that she must've been the cause of all this... If not, she was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Why did she come back...? Now everyone was gone... Aeife hugged herself tightly, shaking with all the emotions she felt. No words could describe her sorrow...

Hearing Caliesil's voice jarred her out of her silent stare. She wiped the tears away with the back of her hand and turned to face him, and a small boy. There was a puzzled expression on her face when he bowed, and then it became anger.
"What are you doing with this boy? Let him go."
She balled her fists at her side as the red swirled in her irises.

"Somethign tell's me the boy will follow me out of his own free will. Won't you Almon?" "yes so i can kill you when i get the chance." said the young child bitterly. "And you are welcome to try." said Caliesil smiling as he feed that great hate inside the boy making it grow strong and it would eventually bring the boy down fully into darkness with no way out.

Da Mouse

PostPosted: Fri Oct 22, 2004 9:16 pm

*Mouse arose from the ground once more a distance away from the village, back toward the trail from which he'd entered upon. He couldn't shake the lingering feeling of guilt, partially from not doing anything in the townspeople's time of need, partially for abandoning Acryn. However more pressing things were on his mind.*

~The center of all this turmoil is the crystal and its shards. I only know of what I've seen of the other shards and the power of my own, but that hardly encompasses all of the power possible. I suppose it would be best to know all I can of the crystal if I am to figure a way to change the path that time is bound to and the only place I can figure that will provide me with that information is the ruins of the temple... Perhaps one of the libraries still is enough intact to aid me.~

*Determined to continue alone, if nothing more than to attract less attention from the demonfolk, he pressed back along the trails leading toward the ruined temple.*

She decided she could do nothing to have Caliesil let the boy go, and she just gave up. She turned her back on the demon and headed back toward the edge of the town. She just couldn't stay here any longer.

Shouyin pulled himself to his feet. Whatever had happened, Aeife was gone once again. He gripped his sword and looked around. The fires had ceased to burn and had begun to smolder. Corpses still lay everywhere through the village. And Necros stood in the middle of it all. Going into an attacking stance he ran at him as fast as he knew how.

Who knew if Necros had been the cause of all this? Not Shouyin, but the demon was evil, he had to die. He leaped into the air, sword above his head, ready to drive it into the demon lord's skull.

*he turns surveying the damage and hears something and also sences a precence witch seems to be extremely close to him he looks up and sees shouyin coming for him through the air the scythe appears in his claws and brings it up to block shouyins attack*

The block was effective. Using the scythe to gain momentum he flipped backwards and landed on his legs and an arm, sword raised in the air. Focusing on Necros he made him heavier, so heavy he was made immobile. Dashing back at him he went for a wide spin attack.

Acryn kept walking, without looking back, and headed down the trail from whence her and Mouse and walked earlier. Her gloved hands were shoved into the pockets of her frayed shorts, the back of her white tank top burnt and in tatters. She had forgotten to get a new one. But it didn't really matter now, and her mind was elsewhere. The morning sky seemed bleak, and not at all radiant like all the sunrises before. There were dark patches of rain clouds lazily rolling by in the atmosphere, threatening the spill of water like a broken dam. She didn't care if she got soaked, she just didn't care about anything.
The tress swayed toward her as the strong breeze pounded them. They looked as if they were trying to protect her, or maybe attack her. Everything was so violent. All the blood that's been shed replayed over and over in her mind like a broken record. She had seen one once, while visiting a modernized town. They called them cities. She didn't like it and never visited again.
The road opened up unto a massive plain, and she kept walking under the mottled sky, her head bowed down, staring at her feet. She didn't care where she was going or where she ended up.
