Ria sat down in the corner, sinking into the shadows, still averting her eyes from her friend...Ria didn't want to mourn, didn't want to see Kahlan's body, didn't want to do anything but sit in the coner and hide from reality.
When they went through the portal, behind their backs Lilith had bowed, then merely turned ot take her leave.

Casron wiped away tears & sniffed, the entire time he knew Kalahn playing over & over in his head. From the day they first met, having to fight that bounty hunter, to having soup in her nana's restaurant, then going on the journey that they were still on now, & meeting all of their friends. He remembered the day she was kidnapped, & how he was knocked over the head with something. Now, he wished that things might have gone differently, perhaps it may have changed her death? His head hurt to think about it. He sighed, wishing he had never came here.

Eventually, Zanzar stood up, wiping away his tears.
Well...we have spent enough time mourning...we should now concentrate on Kahlan's last wish...get your things ready, we leave to Mount Crondar in the morning.
Zanzar was tough, but the loss of his sister-figure would scar his memory forever...

Ria nodded, and slowly rose to her feet, althoguh she didn't have anything to pack. Rubbing dry tears from her cheeks waiting for everyone else to be ready also.

Casron got up slowly, due to his tricfk knee, & nodded also, showing he had nothing to pack as well. There was a time in his life when he wuold have had tons of clothes in such rich materials as silk & velvet, but he preferred things this way.

Another portal appearred in the wall as Birgit stood up and then looked at Kahlan. She said something in her own language softly before leading the rest through the portal. "Da Mountain be right through dis pass." Birgit said as they appeared in an area of tall cliffs and grassy feilds. Above the cliffs where the high peaks of Mt. Crondar.

Zanzar nodded when he saw Mount Crondar. Looking back at all the others, he smiled.
Do not be sad, my friends. We will get Kahlan back. I swear it...
With that, Zanzar made his way to the start of the winding path that would take them into a battle so fierce, they would wish they never came.

Ria nodded, a grim determination plain on her face, "I bin told dat Ria agreeth! We will get Kahlan backth!" Ria followed Zanzar silently, and only spoke up as a stray thought drifted into her mind, "I bin told dat Ria wonderth wha happin to dat Lilith girl..."

"She gone for now. That onlly thing that matters bout her. Lets just get Kahlan back. Birgit wan see her smile again." The dark woman said as she walked through the pass with the others. she found her self wondering how she got so attached to these people in the short time that they had known each other.

Days passed as the group made their way up Mount Crondar's grueling path. Everything was going just fine until Zanzar noticed something he should saw hours ago. Footprints. But these weren't any ordinary footprints. Some of them were obviously humanoid, but what frightened him was the other sets. If Zanzar didn't know better, he would have said they were wolven prints, but they weren't. They were tracks of one of the most mighty beasts known to Septerra. Behemoths. If they ran into one of these monsters, they would all surely be killed. Zanzar brought the others to a halt, his hands spread wide as not to let anyone past him.
This is bad...these prints are fresh...

Birgit saw and knew the tracks as well and shook her head. "Birgit don like the look o dis...how we gonna move on?" She would not stop now. They were getting close...so very close to getting Kahlan back.

Ria stopped as soon as she noticed Zanzar's worry. Sniffing the air she siad, "I bin told dat Ria can pick up the thmell, not too far from here....den again, thhe neva bin ver good wit di...di...dir..." She gave up trying to pronounce the lat word, hoping the others knew what she meant well enough.

Just before Zanzar could say another word, a giant clawed arm swept him aside. It appeared that nothing was there, but the blow sure was. Behemoths could use cloaking abilities, therefore they were invisible. Zanzar unstrapped his battle-axe and readied himself for the next strike.
Everyone, be on your guard! There is a twenty foot long beast in our midst!

Birgit made ready to battle. She would do what she must to get Kahlan back. Taking out her dagger that she kept hidden in her clothes she looked about the little group wondering who the beast would try and strike next.

Ria made her self look as large as possible out of instinct, her seven foot tall, near 200 pound figure seeming to almost grow with the motion. Growling, she braced herself for any blows, lacking weapons.
