Aura looked up to Bastet. "I'm fine, but I might as well follow the group." She waved the boomerang. "Besides I think he would like this back." She followed the path of her friend and into the kitchen. Walking around the table, she set Khenu's boomerang next to him. "I believe that is yours." That done, she took a seat in her usual chair.

"Oh thanks Aura. " He grabbed the object from the table and slipped in into it's usual place; tucked in his belt in the small of his back and finished off one pancake starting on the other.

Bastet had sat down and started eating already. She sat in silent thought, as the food seemed to fuel her thought process.

After the two had finished their pancakes, Ryo responded. "Yes, that's us. I'm Ryo, he's Dagan..."
"And we have a hellova day ahead of us! Let's go Dad!" Dagan grabbed his father's hand, nearly ripping him out of his seat. They were charging out the door to a day full of fun.

"Well those two seem like fun." Khenu cleaned his plate of anything left and then suddenly yawned. He laughed nervously and brought a hand to the back of his head, scratching at his hair. "Well I guess I could you a little cat nap..." His eyes darted to Bastet and his voice got almost inaudible. "Oh, sorry, I-I didn't mean it that way, I just meant..."

Bastet laughed lightly, "It's alright, I cat nap all of the time, ask anyone. I fell out of a tree once when I was trying to sleep, and didnt land on my feet..."

"Yes cat napping is all to common around here. Anyway, Khenu, you can have any of the rooms in this place, feel free to make yourself at home. Now you'll have to excuse me, I have to look something up to help a friend." She stood, flicked a piece if raven black hair over her shoulder, and walked back to the library, throwing open the book she was reading earlier.

Khenu watched Aura leave then turned his eyes back to Bastet. "Ow, that must of hurt. Well I guess I should claim a room huh? Um, see ya later, Bastet." Khenu picked up his plate, popped out of his chair and placed it in the sink before running off to grab his pack which had been left by the door.
Claiming the pack he walked around for a while, till he found someplace he liked and picked an empty room, throwing his stuff on the bed and plopped down right beside it, falling asleep in mere seconds, warm, full, and content. A few hours rest would do him a world of good.

Bastet got up and and did the dishes, while deep in thought. Then she picked up a book from the main room and went off to her room to read till she slept.

Bastet woke up with her book in her hands, exactly as she had fallen asleep. She left her room and walked into the kitchen, all the while listening for the stirrings of anyone else that might be up, she was fixing something to eat when her ears twitched in the direction of the courtyard. She went to the window and saw Khenu staring up at a tree.

Khenu circled the tree twice, sizing it up. After a few moment of thinking her jumped onto the tree, attempting to scramble up it's trunk. He only succeeded in scratching up his hands on the fall down.
He frowned at the tree, thinking of another way to get the object down. And in an even more futile attempt than before he merely tried jumping for it. Khenu soon stopped that however as his brain reminded him that if he were to grab it, he would only slice his hand, he'd done that before and it wasn't the funnest thing.

Bastet saw that he was trying to get something from the tree but from this angle she couldn't tell what it was. Always curious because of the cat in her, she walked out into the courtyard and cleared her throat loudly. "So, what are you trying to do?"

"Ah!" Khenu whipped around hand to his chest clutching his shirt. For all his outward courage, he was easy to scare. "Don't pop up like that...you'll kill a kid that way." Running a hand through his hair, he picked up on her question.
"I was just trying to get my marooned boomerang from the vicious boomerang snatching tree." He turned to the tree and glared at it. His glare then dropped and he kicked at the ground. "Aw, I hate being short." He then glared up at the tree and shook his fist at it. "Evil plant! I hope a woodpecker gets the best of you!"

Bastet laughed, "No killing intended, but I like scaring people. Besides, I'm a cat, I'm supposed to eb stealthy." She walked up beside Khenu and noticed that he was rather short, he must not have had a growth spurt yet since he seemed like a normal child. She smiled again at his choice of words to describe the situation.
She shrugged, crouched, extended her claws, leaped and climbed up the tree to a branch near his boomerang. She looked at it noticing the sharp edges, and took care grasping it as Khenu would, so she wouldn't hurt herself. She jumped back down landing on her feet, inspecting the blade some before giving it back to him. "Nice and sharp, where's the safety for this?"
