It's on hulu too.

Oh that's not the problem. I can watch just about any anime on kissanime.com in sub or dub but I can't watch when the parents are home anymore. I've never actually had hulu, though.

Your parents are against anime right?

strongly.

I wonder what made them so. Is there a reason or lack of education?

Well my dad thinks that if it's not Christian tv then it must be of the devil. But keep in mind that my dad's logic in every thing is flawed... He enjoys watching Heroes. My mom just kinda thinks it's crazy. She doesn't feel too strongly against anime, but when it comes to music in her head, if it's not Christian then it's of the devil. So she gets really mad when I play my anime theme play list. Both of them grew up listening to and watching secular stuff and besides their shallow opinions they seem to have come out okay so I really don't know what their deal is.

Heroes may be your ticket with your dad. He may like Tiger&Bunny too. Try to suggest it then ask him to read an outline to decide if it's fine. Make it a gateway anime or something. T&B is a pretty child-friendly show.

I'm not sure if I can help you with the music, but Japanese music is very positive.

Actually I've tried the approach with my dad. There is actually this anime he really likes; it was one of those mecha that they dubbed for american tv. A couple months ago he binge watched 36 of the 64 episodes in a night, and I had to watch too because we were all working in that room. I told him that it was an anime and that there was difference between that one and the mecha and other anime that I watch. But he still won't hear it.

haha I'm working to get that. I hoping I can change his mind on this anime thing, because there is some more serious stuff I need to change his mind about. I'm taking baby steps, you see.

I really don't remember. There were aliens, and humans were like doll size to them. So the people built huge suits to fight them with. And they lived in ships, that still seemed like earth. The main character was this kid named Hunter. He was in love with a girl named... May-May or Mei-Mei.

Blue Seed was the first one that came to mind, but I looked up the basics on google and these were the other titles that popped up:

Casshan: Robot Hunter

I can just ask him. He watched it when he was a kid, so that was at least 120 years ago.
