Between wanting to dig his knuckles into Jack's skull and the constantly reminding himself that both Rose used birth control and he used protection, Noah felt himself draw close to the Vega sibling. An aura of dense tension emanating from the ward as he placed his hands on the teenage wizard. Noah wasn't sure what to do. The red clad ward simply felt his blood boil with passion as he stared in Jack's eyes like a zombie. Noah probably almost looked the part as well with his mostly healed injuries and jerky twitching. But, before the ward could actually even do anything, his mentor came to pull him away.

"You need to work on handling your chi more effectively than just using it to scare people, kid." The mentor said with dissatisfaction. Amos pulled his student by the ear into the kitchen to give him time to cool off. "How many times have I told you? You only fight to protect. Anything else and I'd beat your a**." The white haired man threw his student into the kitchen and began to order him into doing menial housework until he had cooled off. Amos then returned to the living room with a tray full tea and cups for everyone. "I'm sorry about Noah. I can see he's still a hothead. But as I'm sure you know he means well." The old man placed the tray down on a table for everyone to take part in. A mild citrus scent emanating from the kettle spout. "I also hope it'll be no trouble if I meet your parents. I intended to get to know them for both pleasure and for business." The man said with a harmlessly warm smile on his face.

Trixie seemed to on a similar edge as his foster sister, Rose. The little witch could feel the tension in the air. While uneasy, she was also happy to see that there was someone who was also able to handle Noah. The little witch looked at the red coating wearing man with affirmation. Trixie pulled up a chair and began to pour a cup of tea for everyone. "I guess all we can do is just wait for Jasmine and Pierre to get back home." Trixie answered in a shaky voice. "W-will you be alright, Rose?" The little girl asked, handing her foster sister a cup of tea on a tiny plate.

Rose knew Jack meant well, but when it came to girls, he was pretty naive. She wasn't surprise if Jack stayed a virgin till he was in his forties. She knew how Noah felt at the same time. "I'm sure my parents will be home soon." The woman responded. Assuring Amos that her parents would show up sooner or later. She leaned over a bit and took the tea from Trixie. "Thank you. I'm sure I'll be fine in a bit." She answered. A moment later her parents came through the door. "Sweethearts, were home." Jasmine called to her children.

The little witch nodded her head and held the tea up to her before blowing. The tea was still a tad too hot to drink, but the smell was giving off a quite pleasant aroma. It was calming. But not as calming as the sound of the front door opening and hearing Jasmine voices proclaim their return. Trixie turned her head in excitement before setting her cup down on the table and heading for the door to greet the parental unit. "Welcome home!" Trixie squeak happily with relief. She bowed her head and waited for the two to say something. She could let them however, she had to mention the elephant in the room. "We uh...also have a visitor."

Amos was sitting calmly sipping his tea when the front door opened. His brow hardened for a brief moment before quickly softening again. "Alright. Places everyone. It's showtime." The merc said in a hush voice as he too put his tea down and waited for for Jasmine and Pierre to enter the living room and find everyone sitting down. Amos didn't think there would be much point in hiding what had happened. Even if Jack was able to clean everything up, there would still be evidence. Instead, the hunter chose to roll with the punches and take whatever came at him,

"We know." The couple answered in unison. Pierre was less pleased then his wife and had a dead-pan voice with two arms crossed over his chest in displeasure. Jasmine was the opposite. She was grinning ear to ear and had her hands behind her back. "I saw it all." Jasmine added as Pierre walked buy towards Amos. It wasn't long for the white haired man to be pinned against the wall and have a wand pointed out his face. "You hurt my daughter."

Amos looked up and saw it coming from a mile away. Pierre Vega, the patriarch of the Vega family. A powerful man with resources and large family. Said man was also walking toward Amos with a look of death. No doubt what would happen. Amos predicted it all and the same time, could do nothing about it except smile like an idiot. With his back against the wall, Amos held his hands up in an attempt to claim innocence. The wand was to the wizard and witch as the gun was to the normal human. Amos knew this quite well, but just the same, magic was to highly skilled sorcerer as martial arts was...On second thought, it probably didn't matter.

Amos was at the mercy of an enraged papa bear. Sure, the hunter could use some fancy footwork, break the man's arm out of its socket, snap his wand, and rely on more mystical techniques to save his a**, but that wasn't the point of coming here in the first place. The point was to introduce himself and be on good terms with the Vegas and so far, it wasn't looking too good. And more over, the house was full of wizards. Amos could make all the excuses he wanted, such as he never actually harmed Pierre's daughter or that she was never in any danger, but anyway one sliced it, Amos was in the wrong. Whether it was direct or indirect, Amos was in trouble.

The hunter swallowed hard and breathed slowly. "And I sincerely apologize for even touching your daughter, Mr. Vega. But, your lovely wife could probably explain everything to you, including my intentions. But to save the trouble, I'll just say everything and she can fact check it all. Does that sound ok?" The man bargained with a hesitant smile on his face. Seeing as how the rumors seemed to be true, Jasmine could probably vouch for the hunter, provided she wanted to. Rose was her daughter as well.

"I know what happened."
the man snapped the white-haired man. "It's because of you, Rose had to use a blood spell. Blood spells are one the most dangerous to use because it requires the user to give up parts of their life force." Pierre snapped. He was upset that Rose lost so much blood.

Amos could feel the very intensity coming the man. The white haired man would have to play his card close to his chest if he wanted to escape from this. "N-now calm down Mr. Vega. I'm sure we can talk this out. I don't want to insult you, but how about I try walking you through the whole story again, in case you forgot." Amos smiled nervously. Who was to say Pierre wouldn't just fry the man with a bolt of lightning? The young looking old man tried to look as innocent as he awkwardly could.

"Now, as you may or may not know, Noah is a student of mine. I have been teaching the kid ways to better himself ever since I picked him up off the street and away from gang violence." Amos said taking a deep calming breath. "Thanks to me, Noah is the fine young man you see today. He'd fight life and limb to protect the ones he cares about. Surely even you can see that. He's picked a few new tricks since I left him to go on his own, but I see his quick temper hasn't changed. I'll probably have to work on that." The white haired man said trailing off slowly. "But as I was saying! I've had Noah under my tutelage for quite some time. An important part of his training has been survival. Every year, I'd let Noah go out on his own. I'd then appear and challenge him to a fight to test him. There's a Japanese training method similar to this where parents would put on masks...anyway, as I was saying. I would fight Noah to see how he had progress. This was a tradition for us, to beat each other until we were bloody messes."

Amos breathed slowly as he explained more to Pierre and the rest of the family that was listening. The man's calming trying to spread out to the rest of the room. "Now, ever since I left Noah to go on his own, I have been busy with my own life. It is almost fate that were to meet again. Since it had been an especially long time, I figured I should raise the stakes for the boy to see if he was still true to my teachings and protect the ones he cares most about. I didn't mean for anyone else to get hurt, but I needed to make the simulation fit the urgency of his training. This must have been when your daughter took matters into her own hands and she hid away the rest of your children and use blood magic."

"Now, while the sport and I were beating each others' faces in, Rose came back to help, giving us more room to square off in, heal, and buff the kid's stats. When this happened, I had to step my game up, otherwise, I wouldn't be a worthy opponent for the boy. Sooo...." The old hunter turned his head and innocently peaked at Pierre's daughter. "I had to use your daughter for the simulation. Keep in mind, I had absolutely no intention of hurting your family. My gun had been unloaded the entire time and my other weapon was safely sheathed away. I just needed to see if Noah had it in him to save your daughter from a lunatic with a gun. Plus I wanted to see what the boy who talked down Len Richardson could do."

Amos awkwardly smiled and shifted his shoulders a little but made no other sudden moves. "Needless to say, Noah passed with flying colors and saved the day and most importantly, your whole family. I'd be very proud of the boy and your daughter for raw courage to the family."

Amos did not win Pierre over at all. "So you're saying to me that Noah helped in this act and you pointed a gun at my daughter too." He said. The man kept Amos pinned to the wall while he pulled his wand away and pointed it at Noah. It was clear that the child you did not mess with was Rose. Rose was his princess.

Amos was absolutely astounded how Pierre had not shifted the guilt, but also doubled it. Now the white haired man and his student were in trouble, especially since Noah was protecting Rose and had nothing to do with harming her. Amos almost blew his cool as he seemed momentarily offended. If felt this daft man hadn't even listened to his explanation. "No Mr. Vega." Amos answered with regained composure. "I said nothing of the sort. What I said in short was, I initiated combat with my student which is a regular custom for us. Noah is innocent. And as I said, I had no intention of harming your daughter." The hand Amos had raised twitched as it prepared for any sudden movements to try and disarm Pierre.

It was wonder why this charade was still even going on. The matriarch of the family was a clairvoyant and knew Amos was innocent, yet still allowing all of this to happen. Maybe she was just sadistic liked to watch even though everything would be ok. "I also don't want to threaten you, Mr. Vega. But, I also take pride in my students like do in your family. "

"I think what my husband means is that both of you knew that when you met that you would fight, but you refuse to give a warning to Rose not to act rash." Jasmine answered. She knew what he was thinking. "Pierre is hard to convince when he's this way." She added as she moved away.

And there it was. Two words Amos hated hearing right from the very lips of the one person who could have saved him. "Collateral damage". Not only was it on his list for least favorite words and phrases, but also his least favorite movies. Not a exactly a high light in the hunter's favorite action star's career. At the same time, Amos was also not pleased and it could be seen in his strained smile. "Thank you, Mrs. Vega. You are a tremendous help." Amos replied through gritted teeth. Despite the sarcastic remark, there was some truth to be had. Amos was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Pierre was going to be impossible to deal with in his current state of passion. The bias was probably too strong to overcome. The situation did seem ultimately hopeless with further details on the matter or intervention.

"Dad." Rose called to her father. The man's grip loosened for a second before gripping Amos again. "Yes sweetie?" Her father asked as he turned to her. "Please put him down. No more blood today." She asked her father kindly and with a weak smile. Pierre did as she told him. The man let Amos dropped to the floor. "As you wish." He answered his daughter before looking at the man. "If he does anything else he'll face punishment then." He added with a glare before walking away from the situation. It was clear that there would be no way to get Pierre to do anything for the moment.

Trixie stood still for moment, watching as Pierre held back his wrath on Noah's mentor. She was transfixed on the man's sudden change of nature. The little witch had never seen him behave that way. The kind and gentle man that he was gone and replaced with something more animalistic and brutal. When the matter was resolved, Trixie finally breathed a little more easily before taking a seat in a separate chair. The little witch leaned and thanked the tired witch responsible for sparing Amos. Violence and tension was something Trixie just wasn't accustomed to. A reason why she wanted Noah to stop getting into fight, but now, that future was looking bleaker by the moment.

Meanwhile, Amos dusted himself off and readjusted his shoulder. He didn't expect the father of the household to be strong enough to lift him off the ground. The white haired man exited the room and entered the kitchen where his student was begrudgingly cleaning dishes by hand. Amos sighed, putting his hands on his hips and shaking his head. "You sure have some luck, dontcha kid?" Amos once again began treading thin ice as he carefully chose what words came out of his mouth. "You'd better keep your mouth shut, Amos." The old man snickered and giggled. "Don't worry. I won't say anything. But I fear for your safety. After all, if your past doesn't get you, I think someone 'else' will." Noah shot the man with poisonous glare before going back to scrapping egg stains out of a bowl. Any further conversation the two had remained hush so as to not alert everyone else.

Jack had half hidden behind his sister as the look of rage came over his father. He had never seen the man like that. It scared him to think about it. It was clear that Amos was lucky that his sister was alive. "Hey Trixie, let's get out of here." He suggested. He would let the adults take care of this.

When Jack suggested that he and Trixie go somewhere else, the little witch gave no resistance to the idea. The heavy atmosphere was crushing her and she wanted to escape it. She nodded agreeingly and rose from her seat and began to follow wherever Jack had in mind, be it going outside or somewhere in the house. She did feel a little guilty though, as she would be leaving everyone. Hopefully the tension would be gone by the time she returned.

Noah was about to come out of the kitchen to check on how Rose was doing, but his mentor pulled him back. "It might not be a wise idea to go out there, lad." Amos warned lightly. The ward wrestled his way out of the old man's grasp. "And why would that be?" Noah asked incredulously. Amos grimaced and looked to the ceiling. "Well, if you heard everything that was going on out there, I kind of pissed off Mr. Vega." Noah stared blankly for moment before palming his head. "Oh great. Smooth move, Amos. How about you just go piss on the front lawn while you're at it." The ward walked off in a huff, wanting nothing more to do with his mentor for now. All he wanted to do was make sure Rose was ok. Noah exited the kitchen and made his way to his lover.
