Kurie frowned and looked around. She didn't want to get in trouble for talking again, but she didn't know what they were studying. She was behind, and she didn't like it. She raised her hand, and waited for the teacher to hopefully call on her.

Kurie put her hand down, then listened intently. She already knew a lot about it, but she knew she could always learn more and she was just happy that it would be an easy lesson today.

Bitaa exhaled through her nose. Back home, her history classes had always danced around the name "Cold War", but they never wen too in-depth. Only mentioned for the sake of minor importance.
She took a quick glance around the room, before jotting down notes in carefully scripted English.

Kurie sighed a little, hoping the lesson would hurry. She had just remembered today was the day she could finally head over to the volleyball court and start to practice. However, she reached into her bag and tore a piece of paper from a notebook, so she could put it in her social studies binder later.

Marcus had now laid his head on his desk and had fallen asleep. This kinda thing bored him.

kirk quietly walks over to marcus and lights a firecracker and sits in his pocket and walks back to the board and says "ok kids! cold war a 40 year war periord that involve espionage, hot spots, and nuclear threats:

Kurie jumped as the firework went off. Seeing what had happened, she smirked a little and then wrote down what the teacher was saying.

The girl flinched, going rigid in her seat. Bitaa looked over at Marcus, and then to the teacher, completely stupified.
'I-. . . Is that even legal, to do something. . . that extreme to punish a student?'
Despite her wish to have that question answered, she focused back on the task at hand.

Marcus jumped when the firecracker went off and fell onto his back in his chair. "What the hell man!" He jumped to his feet, looking down at his pants pocket. There was now a hole burnt through them where it went off.
