Baron scrutinized the Miraluka warily. Not his Master? Of course. But wasn't "Master" a word used as a term of reverence? No matter.
"What shall I call you then?" Baron asked before answering "I want to learn it all. I know I cannot do so, but, as I said, I want peace and tranquility. To better myself. Do not get me wrong, I am open to any method to accomplish this, even if turning or embracing the Dark Side accomplishes my goals, I will do it."
He decided to demonstrate his abilities, weak as they were. He looked around for something to pull towards him and found a canister that could not be easily lifted by a mere human. He calmed his mind and reached out with the Force, willing the canister to come to him and float several feet from the ground. He then reached out to a droid passing by, lifted it up in the air and have it settle onto the canister. Both objects easily could weigh in at several hundred kilos, yet, like any who had half a brain in the use of the Force could effortlessly lift these objects up.
Baron let the objects down, letting the protesting droid go about its business, and faced the Miraluka and shrugged. "I can do that, but that is all. Basic stuff. I admit, my previous training has been a tad slow."

Thanatos looked at the human. He looked at least five years older than Thanatos, yet he still could only master gripping items. Hmm, a late bloomer? No, negligible teaching more than likely. Like all other force users that Thanatos had seen, they had the potential.
"You need not know my name, fool." Thanatos said, pleased with the beginning of the answer. "However, if you wish to learn from me. Know this: Their will not be Peace for that is a lie, and their will not be tranquility. If you have time for tranquility, then go meditate somewhere looking at the plants. The dark side as the Jedi call it, brooks no use for peace or tranquility. Luxury is gained through power, and even then it is only the beginning in order to break free."
"You say your training is a tad slow? I say it has not even begun. Any child can move things, I know I did."
He was testing the Jedi. Thanatos had begun the training, it all now would depend upon the Jedi now on how further the Jedi would go. Or it would set the boundary for this Jedi. Thanatos watched the Jedi's face and aura intently. Even when facing the other way.

"I asked what I would call you, not your name," Baron responded heatedly, allowing some anger bleed through. "My father was indeed very negligent in my training."
He wasn't looking at the object he pulled toward them, but instead trickled his mind to them, including the droid. He used the Force to compress them, and the poor droid's last squeal of protest echoed across the grounds as its dying sparks arced on the floor. The canister's gooey contents pooled around the now-compressed ball, which was about sixty seven centimeters. It was his first ability, and the reason why he attempted to keep his emotions--anger in particular--in check.
"I hated him for being so slow with me," Baron finished. He honestly didn't care which way he went. Light. Dark. It did not matter to him. As long as he could control his emotions, and therefore this curse he was born with.

He started laughing at the...he could not help but think him a boy. That was fear, Anger, and now hate was added to the list. His aura was shifting even more now, more red... Thanatos laugh was this time more spiteful towards the boy. He replied with a chuckle, emphasizing distaste: "And I say you do not need to know...(a small chuckle). Oh yes you are indeed a Jedi. To openly admit your failures. I guess the Jedi would say that it is wisdom. I say it is foolishness and a testament to your own inability. And look, even now you only show the same skill with that canister."
Thanatos started to regain some composure and then spoke again, "Tell me fool, is that all your... (spiteful) Master taught you? I have the feeling that it was not your master's fault in training, but yours..." Thanatos let that trail off a little bit for added effect.
Thanatos was close, he could feel it. The trap was set. Let the prey come.

Baron could barely hold his anger in check as the Miraluka laughed at him. His eyebrow twitched. He wanted to lash out, but knew it was foolhardy. If he had to admit to himself, it *would* be his, Baron's, fault that he was seriously lacking in training. Other learners would have probably mastered control over their abilities and had gone into combat. He, however...
"Yeah, so what if it is my own fault?" Baron asked calmly, though he was screaming in his head. "I didn't ask for this. I didn't want to have this ability. I hate it. The only way to rid myself of it is to die, and I don't want that either. So, I'm stuck with it."

The aura was spiking, oh yes more anger. That would seem to be his chosen emotion, whether he knew it or not. Then again Thanatos was overly hitting in that territory anyway. For many, usually anger was the emotion to go by.
"Lets not lie now, I know the truth. You do not hate your power, if I were a betting man I would say that you crave it. Otherwise you would have gone to the council and they would have taken your power away. Then you would have been normal...just like everybody else. But you do not want to be like everybody else now do you? We are in agreement though, you are indeed stuck. Stuck in your own failure. Weakness, unsure, angry...inept."
Thanatos was sooo close he could taste it. This one's negative emotion was almost ripe for the picking. Come, he silently thought to the Jedi, indulge in your anger. Show me you have what it takes to strike back against destiny.

Baron shook with anger. Why was he losing control?! That added fuel to his fire, and his eyebrows furrowed, he clenched his fists, and snarled at the Miraluka. But his anger was toward his own father for giving him this ability. Surely his mother didn't have it--she was too weak. But then, so was he. And he was angry. Angry at himself for being this way, for not paying attention to his training. He regretted everything about him, and yet... Yet was what the Miraluka said true? Did he crave more? No. He couldn't believe. He *wouldn't* believe it, but try as he might, he couldn't shake that feeling.
He felt his emotions surging through him. Anger at the truth. Hatred toward himself. Fear of what it all meant. Years of training. Countless hours of meditation. Gone in an instant. He felt those emotions, caressed them. Welcomed them. He needed an escape. He saw only one outlet in that escape. And he took it.
Without realizing what he had done, Baron lashed out with the Force against the Miraluka, putting his anger into it, fueling his hatred. Releasing his fear. He screamed, punching his fist forward.
Panting, he fell to his knees. He paid no attention to the tears flowing from his face. He lost control for the first time in twenty years. That was why his father started to train him, because he lost control of his emotions and lashed out. Yet, he did so again.
And Baron was afraid. Truly afraid.

Thanatos saw the final bursting point and further the resulting blow upon his illusion double. It was the reason why he began shimmering as soon as he made contact with the new-ling. While the Jedi may have looked dismayed, Thanatos was overjoyed. The Jedi had used quite a bit of power as well. Almost cleaving the floor in a jagged pattern. If not for the structures ability to repair itself, Thanatos would have felt that it was ruined. He walked towards the Jedi's exposed back and merely spoke.
"Finally you show potential, and look you use true power. This is my lesson, to you fool. You cannot use the dark side unless you use emotion. To not seek to control it!! But focus it into power. You have taken the first steps of the dark side. Congratulations."
Thanatos put a hand upon the Jedi's shoulder and said, "now we can begin your training. For now you have the emotion to utilize. Is their something else you wish to learn..."
Thanatos had taught this one something vital indeed. One cannot simply switch sides of the force. It takes commitment and practice.

Baron gasped as the Miraluka spoke. Why did he hold back after all this time? This was... This was excellent. And he started to laugh. He stood up and smiled for the first time in a long time. Even positive emotions were bottled up for all this time, and when he exploded with the Force just then, the bottle uncorked and he felt alive. And he knew what he wanted. The Miraluka was right. He craved power.
But wait, his mind said. Sure, power is great, but those who seek power are often destroyed by it. Baron would have to be careful.
"I see," Baron said. And he felt rather foolish. He couldn't change the past, though. And so accepted it as it was. "I want to learn to tap into my full potential. There's no need for me to keep it hidden from myself. I am a fool to keep my emotions inside. They are a part of me, and so I will accept them again." It was more of a promise to himself than to the Miraluka.

Naku had been at the watching Thanatos and Baron from the shadows, hiding himself from them both. Even with the Miraluka's affinity to the force, he was hidden. As Thanatos showed Baron, to hide one's emotions would mean hindering ones ability. In Naku's eyes, Thanatos not only showed Baron the path the the dark, but also the true path of light. Baron's potential has broken from it's prison, now it's time for him to exploit it. Although Thanatos' methods were crud, and more dark then any other, it had it's own advantages.
A clap could be heard echoing inside the room, as Naku showed himself to the two, both in person, and in the force. His aura was different then before, more gray the light as the two sides were more in harmony then before. "Congratulations Baron. You have finally broken free of your own prison." He said, walking up to the two. "And Thanatos, congrats to you as well. Your finally becoming more an Outcast then you once were. Especially taking on an apprentice." He said, both in congratulating and in a small mocking way to Thanatos.

Baron quickly turned his head at the new stranger as he started to clap. "How did you know my name?" Baron whispered suspiciously. He didn't think the Force could actually read minds. Manipulate, sure. But read them? Well, maybe. There was some things the Force couldn't do, but that list was short. And even then, there may be a way. At any rate, Baron did not take his eyes off the stranger. He looked Jedi, but his confidence in them was a bit shattered. And even now, Baron did not consider himself a part of them. At least no longer.

Thanatos kept his thoughts hidden. Not betraying his own intentions. Though it was indeed true that he did not see Naku there. That part annoyed him. However his true intentions were never in the light. At least as far as Naku was concerned.
With his usual cool confident tone of voice he said, "Notice that I have never not been an Outcast. Never have I been of simple Sith understanding. However, I will say that I never said I would be taking an apprentice. Teaching is far more an easier burden... Was it not for you teaching me? (Thanatos finishing his last sentence with all the mock that was necessary)"
To the new Jedi he simply punched in the face (hard), noticing that his attention was focused upon Naku. Saying, "Remember, that I do not forgive any attack upon my person. I suppose that is my final lesson as an instructor today"

Baron didn't see it coming, and his reaction was too slow as the Miraluka's fist made contact with his nose, breaking it. Blood gushed freely from the wound, and he stepped back in surprise and anger. He fought the urge to strike back, but knew that he deserved that strike, considering he delivered the first blow.
"Sorry," he sputtered belatedly, pinching his nose in place to stop the rushing blood. He winced as the stinging sensation came. He clenched himself as he prepared to set his broken nose back in place. Taking a deep breath, he snapped his nose, setting it, he hoped, correctly. He used a bit of the Force to stop the wound from flowing too bad, but he would certainly need medical attention later, but not now.

Naku looked at the two. He held back a smile as Thanatos punched Baron. As much as he was a jedi, little things like that amused him from time to time. Naku had been reading emotions through the force, similar to how Thanatos used it. But he could read glimpses of a persons memories, like little clips of video. He first answered Baron, since he was the one to address and ask him first. "For one who uses the force, I'm surprised you do not understand it. The force can do a great many things, including looking into someone's unguarded minds for information. That should be lesson two for you, keeping your mind and your emotions, guarded." He said, speaking with respect. As teacher would a student.
Naku only smiled. "Yes, you are right in that reguard, Thanatos, but I am a teacher to all. If I do recall correctly, you never asked to be my padawan. You just wanted to learn from me." Naku shot back, keeping calm. He looked back to Baron. "Tell me, if you would. Who taught you the ways of the force?" He asked, wanting to know why he had restricted himself so much until now.
