Justin nodded. "yeah...seems like someone I'll stay away from. anyway, you said you heard my name before. not many people remember me, I think. at least, that's why I think my business is so slow." he said. "where exactly did you hear my name?" he asked.

Buttercup listened to what Bubbles had to say, and was about to say the same thing Blossom did. It's not like Bubbles is alone in the world, unable to make friends. Things were getting frustrating and the effing evening hadn't started yet. "Here they come..." Buttercup whispered, almost grinding her teeth once she saw the blonde haired vixen and her father come out with the main course. She still hadn't seen any sign of mother yet, though.
Buttercup's hands were shaking. She gripped her knees in order to keep herself calm, for she was getting anxious. This was it, the night of their battle; the battle of verbs.

Blossom noted her sister's unease and sqezed her hand again. She looked straight ahead, taking care to watch Angel when the fight came back into her eyes. This was war. True, deathly war.
Blossom stood to meet Angel's father, extending her hand the moment he let go of the food.
"I'm Blossom Utonium." She said, her smile sweet and her eyes carefully free of anger.

Drew carefully shook the redhead's hand. "So you're Blossom."
Charlotte walked out into the dining room. She greeted the Professor and shook hands with him.
Angelica sat back in her chair, hands in her lap. She looked as innocent as she could never be.

Justin looked at Lil again, kinda expecting an answer to his question from earlier, but he wasn't in a hurry. that's why he came out here, anyway. to take a break and talk to people.

Justin smiled. "well, you know those new girls who moved in not too long ago, who claim to be superheroes? well, I'm like them, but I take cash. but I mostly get called in for a job when the big names in the superhero biz can't get it done. you're probably asking yourself about how I'm able to do that. well, thanks to my little buddy Dexter, I'm a spliced up mutant with enhanced physical strength, speed, and endurance...and a stash full of insane weapons and gear. so, just think of me as a mutant Batman for hire, but no spandex." he said, with a small chuckle.

~Suck it up, Buttercup! This is the time to impress. Don't let your anger get the best of you...~ Buttercup scolded herself as her hands gripped her knees tighter. She inhaled deeply, stood up after Blossom's hand let go of Drew's and smiled, her anger shot deep inside her, and plastered a fake friendliness where the distraught one was. "I'm Buttercup. It's very nice to meet you, sir. And might I add that this really is a lovely home." Buttercup's tone of voice completely changed, and was sure that she was getting away with the nice girl act. Or at least hoped.

Drew began serving everyone, keeping an eye on Blossom. As he sat down, so did Charlotte.
"Let's get right to the point, shall we?" she began.

Dexter sat in a high tech floating chair in his laboratory, staring into the screen of his massive computer. he then cleared his throat, and said, "Computer, activate the satellite cameras. I want to see how Justin is doing, if he's still alive." the computer replied, in a female voice, "yes, Dexter." then, a camera feed of Justin and Lil talking appeared on screen. Dexter was only checking on Justin like this because Justin never kept in touch after he was spliced. they were actually pretty good friends, but Dexter was kinda jealous that Justin was more athletic, even before he mutated. it was even more embarrassing for Dexter that Justin didn't even touch him when he forced him to give him his powers. he just pretended to try to kick him in the groin, and Dexter flinched. then again, he knew Justin wasn't that mean.

Justin smiled back at Lil, then heard his cellphone ring, and answered it. it was Dexter, telling him to meet him at the lab. Justin told him he'd be there, then hung up. he then turned to Lil. "sorry I can't chat anymore right now. old Dexter wants me to meet him. maybe we'll meet again." he told her, as he walked away, the moonlight against his back.
Dexter sighed and waited for Justin to get to the lab. it had been three years since Justin got his powers, and Dexter needed to tell him something important.

Lil ran up to him and gave him a peice of paper with a phone number and address on it..." if you want we can meet up." she said and walked off towards the Rats hangout.
