Raggedtooth's head spun around towards Sandstar and Shortkit. Did he say news? Is Sandstar going to apprentice them now? He asked himself. "I...Think I'll catch the next patrol." He said after a moment. If Sandstar was going to apprentice them now he didn't want to be out of camp when it happened.

Ashpelt giggled as she nudged Sunkit awake. Hey Sunkit, Ive got some news....." she started, trying hard to hold in her own excitment.
Sunkit shot staright up, her fur rising as she tilted her head. "What? What is is?"

Shortkit's eyes were wide with excitement and his jaw hung open. It was a few moments before he managed to let out a yowl. "REALLY?!" he mewed, almost tripping over his paws as he danced about his father. "Whose gunna be my mentor?!" he purred.

SUnkit began to jump up and down. "What what? what??" the kit pushed.
Ashpelt purred. "Youtr going to be apprenticed."

Shortkit, not able to wait for his fathers answer, bounded back over to the nursery. Bursting inside, he found Sunkit already awake. "You hear that? Were gunna be apprentices!!" he mewed, tackling his sister in fun and excitement.

Shunkit giggled and rolled on top of him. "I know! Mother told me!!!" she squeaked.

"Finally!" he mewled, cuffing his sister over her ears. "Were gunna learn how to hunt and fight!" he mewed, leaping backwards in a crouching position as he tensed, ready to pounce on his sister.

Shortkit batted her a few times before scrambling to his paws. "C'mon! Lets go ask father who our mentors will be!" he mewled, leaping over to the entrance of the nursery.

Sunkit nodded slightly before bolting out of the nursery and staright towards Sandstar, her eyes wide and full of excitment.

Coldeyes padded out of the dim dampness of the warrior's den and into the misty sunlight of ShadowClan camp. He saw Sandstar's two kits bouncing around in their usual, undisciplined way and blinked in faint disgust. The detatched warrior's every expression was faint to match his emotions; the fact that he moved at all was a tribute to the annoying kits. They should be proud.
But they had nothing when compared to their father. The soft-as-kitten-claws tom was standing by the freshkill pile, looking fondly over his offspring. It was such a sweet, touching moment. Coldeye's pale grey gaze lingered coldly on the current leader of his Clan for a few more moments before he pulled it away to look for Foxpaw.
Of course, Coldeyes thought impassively as he saw the little tom was nowhere to be found, The little ball of fluff is probably sleeping the day away. Pathetic. Why are so many ShadowClan cats pathetic...? Coldeyes held few cats in his regard. Even the powerful Raggedtooth had soft spots, and he contented himself with being lead by the weakling Sandstar. I didn't get kicked out of pathetic WindClan to suffer under more weaklings, Coldeyes groused boredly to himself as he settled in to wait for his apprentice.

Sandstar glowered at Coldeyes when he wasn't looking for a moment, wondering why the tom was such a fox-dung mouse-brained jerk. Then he glanced back at his kits and all of his worries were forgotten for the time being. The powerful leader chuckled. "Well, that's a surprise, you two. You'll find out at the ceremony, now won't you?" He grinned evilly.

Sunkit rolled her eyes. fine she though before glancing over to Coldeyes. Most cats thought he was scary for well, cold. She didnt at all. She wasnt scared of him what so ever but she did think he was kinda edgy so she never tried to speak with him.

Shortkit battered his father's flank gently with his growing paws - which were no doubt going to be just as large as his fathers. Growling, he lashed his stub of a tail. "Oh no fair!" he mewled, leaping on two legs over to his father's neck. "Just don't gimme Coldeyes!" he whispered so only his father could hear. The massive warrior sent chills down the kitten's spine. Though when he was a warrior, he would be the one sending chills down cat's spines.
