Ya know, mainly due to my new job and all the people I meet there I'm feeling a lot better. Not just keeping my mind off of it but actually just going back to my old outgoing self. Hell today was great, I got hit on, complimented, invited to parties, and had customer referral sheets written up for me, and I've only been there less than a week.
Only thing bugging me now about my old friend is, he still owes me $260 for his last month of rent here and that s**t ain't been paid. Now if I end up punching him in the face I've got a purpose, it's not going to be an assault for revenge, it's going to be a mugging.
As for her, dead to me. Every bit of support from family to friends has reenforced the notion that there's no reason to ever think of taking her back. I may still help her out if it's an emergency or desperate because I'm a nice guy like that, but I'll diffidently be the last person to call...

Do you have a mutual friend or acquaintance you can ask to talk to your ex-pal? 260$ is a lot of money and totally worth some annoying conversations. ninja
