Zahar had to stifle a scream. She had never seen such a creature before, and it was facing right at her. She nearly bolted when the beast growled, but found her frightened legs didn't want to move.. Oh Terawl I have killed us both. Forgive me I have done it again. Shaking she raised her weapons as a second defence to her, SK the first. Hoping beyond all hope there was only one. Her eyes looked breifly for the ROUS but SK started to move. Zahar had never seen anyone one move quite like that. There had to be something that she could do to help. Cautiously, eyes on SK she took one step and then another step forward. Dagger and katar raised she stood at a distance watching, waiting for a sign, a thought.

he covered the ground at startling speed and sliced forward the beast caught slightly flat footed and cut a gash along its side, some of the spines fell to the floor his other hand flshed forward at the beasts throat hoping for an easy kill. the beast leapt back and he hit naught but air and was put in an off balance position. he was hit from behind by the tail his shoulder felt like it would be numb for days as he tumbled through the air. and skidded to the ground on his back somehow. he must have been knocked in a full circle. the beast was on him in an instantand he felt teeth sink in to his left arm and his katar fell from his hand. he reached to where his katana hadd fallen jsut beside him and slid it into the beasts ribs. the bite wasn't so bad as the stink from the quills that covered its body. they had to have some sort of poison on them. it lept away and he kicked up to his feet with a snarl and reached down grabbing the katar despite his emence pain and hurled it at the beast. it leapt to the side and the blade grazed its hind rightt lef and it stumbled slightly he must have stuck a tendon. it let out a low growl and he straitened and let out a breath muttering, "so its a real fight we have is it," his mouth turned into a twisted smile and he let the rage with in him build, "Zahar! if you have any other tricks try using them if not you may wany to run, mavrick will lead you out," he cracked his neck and charged at the beast.

he and the beast exchanged blows, none connecting with either combatant. Zahars hand was moving frantically. she must be going to try something. but he couldnt see what she was saying or it would surely mean his death. the beast whipped around its tail swung around and the huge club like tail flying straight to his head. his katana whipped arround severingt he ball from the tail whick flew harmlessly by. the severed ball of bone however conncted solidly with his face. right above his right eye and a gash oppened and it sent him staggareing back. the beast had leapt in one great leap to the other side of the room and was no longer really in zahars light but he could see it pacing, limping harshly on the leg he had wounded he was huncjed over his back to zahar and his eye twitched twice and he closed them. it had been about 25 seconds since he had last spoken to zahar.

mavrick took a couple shaky steps forward after Zahar. the beasts head snapped towards her and so did his. the beast let out a long howl and his eye twitched once more and he reared up and screamed that unearthly scream deffening all in the room. with senses so sensitive the beast shrunk back and he began to walk slowly forwark muscles all tence. he had given into the demon in him. to spikes of bone shot out from under his skin and he continued the unearthly howl as he walked forward and reached down picking up his katar with his wounded hand feeling no pain, feeling nothing at all. he stopped after about 10 seconds and took a deep breath, his eye glowed in bright red and blood seeped from where the spikes stuck out of his shoulders. his face was a twisted smile. his teeth clenched and he began speaking in the language of the tanari "Alouzeth! ALOUZETH THK"EISBAH!," with that he sprinted the 30 feet between i him in and the beast in a mere second. Mavrick had shrunk but sttook shaking behind Zahar. the beast lept away and onto the wall right above where Zahar stood. his blade flashed where the beast had been and he sprinted right toward Zahar and then side stepped along the wall and his speed allowed him to run on the wall to where it clung. again it jumped awaythis time to the center of the room. he leapt off the wall at the beast covering 20 feet in one leap. the beast leapt at him and the met in mid air crashing to the ground in a heap. he was stung hundreds of times by the quills on the beast but both his blades were in its chest he pulled the katan out as they seperated a claw mark on his thigh an a bight mark on his right shoulder. the beast could barely stand now. he turned the blad over and thrust it into the stone and walked forward, hissing strange words in the language of the tanarii in an inhuman and horrible voice "KellIuou'ssis De'gilkimexx," his hand snaped to the beasts throat and his fingers cleanched and pierced the skin they had so much force and the beast simply colapsed. he held it there. it was half laying on the ground and he bore the other half of its dead wieght with one arm. gore was everywhere and he was covered in his blood and that of the beast.

he let the beast drop and his head snapped to Zahar, the sick smile on his face still and whisperd, "Locker'ios'lissis," and walked toward her stalking toward her menacingly. he shook his head and his eyes lost some of their spak and then they flared red again and he took another step. Mavrick leapt infront of her and hissed. this casued him to stop and he looked from the rat to her face and back again and said in a deep rumbling voice that harly seemed his own, "i am but a beast," with that his shoulders slumped and the spikes drew back into his body.

the firey glow slowly faded and when he blinked at last his eyes were back to being his own and he said weakly bt with a warm smile in a mocking tone, "i told you i was a monster," before his eyes rolled up into his head and he collapsed onto the stone floor.

((Meh, I don't really remember. Last time I was particularly active before we started up, some of us were going to build a fence and stuff... I haven't even caught up on what happened after that, like what happened when Io lost her mask and stuff. I know as little or less than you do... sweatdrop ))

Ash shrugged. 'HeckifIknow. Haisyn's had us in and out of this place so much lately I'm not sure what's going on any more. Well... we were going to head out to the ruins, right? Maybe we should look for the others on the way. Any way... I'm going to go get my weapon and stuff. Where can I meet you at?' She genuinely hoped Trivii would be ok with their intended destination... she got the feeling that they needed to go there sooner or later. That place seemed to draw them like bugs to honey, and there had to be a reason, right?

((BTW this is probably my last post for about a week or so, we're going on vacation next week and I'm not sure when we'll be back.))

he lay motionless, blood slowly stopping oozeing out of the hundreds of places where the spines had gouged him yet still oozing from the larger gashes and pouring from above his eye which was swelling shut. hsi beathing was fairly calm though the breaths were faint.

Mavrick skittered around the room and cautiously sniffed the couprse of the best before returning to zahars side and plunking down beside her nuzzling her thigh and chittering a little here and there softly.

there was a time when all was naught. for sure he thought he was dead. he driffted in the blackness. he had been hurt wors then that and been ok before. it must have been the poison. his system could fight off most any poison though. perhaps this one was a kinda of tranquilizer or nerve reactant. he was cognisent still though and that was expected after death due to the phylactery trapping his life essance so that he could steal a recently decieaced body, namely his own and return to the land of the living though in an undead state. the stings that covered his body throbbed with pain suddenly. his body twitched and the hundreds of sting that covered his body spat out blood and toxin. and hten began to heal over slowly. the blood flow stopping first and then the tiny wounds beginning to scab over slightly. his body began to wilt before zahar as it used up all his bodily resources to speed the healing process. the fact that he felt pain ment that he was still alive.

his eyes snaped open and he sat up abruptly... well one eye opened... the other was swolen shut. he took a huge gasp of breath and leaned to the side away from zahar and wreched. turning out what little stomach contence he had. as his body rejected the poison. he looked over to zahar barely able to keep himself upright. the gash in his other shoulder rendered that arem pretty well uselless now that he was not in the blood rage and his leg throbbed fromt he gash there. the light she put off stun his opened eye to no end, probably due to the blow on the head/face. he noted that blood still flowed from may of the nicks and the deeper wounds, which ment that his body needed more resources to be able to regenerate and at least stop the bleeding. without eating in the next couple hours he would probably die, "i need food," he croaked with a weak smile. a disgusting site he must have been, covered in blood dirt and a little drool and bile dripping off his chin, " not at me best for ya at this time mlady," he said mockingly with a weak laugh that caused him to double in pain.
