Meerkatje I got the feeling all that picture contest stuff isn't all that fair. I bet it's more kind of an insider thing. I don't know anybody in here, or maybe just irrelevant, but ehm, ack, whatever.

onlydraven Meerkatje I got the feeling all that picture contest stuff isn't all that fair. I bet it's more kind of an insider thing. I don't know anybody in here, or maybe just irrelevant, but ehm, ack, whatever. The contests are as fair as I can make them. I have 6 different people help narrow down the pics to the top 10's. 3 men and 3 women. I wanted it to be equal there. Once the top 10's are in a poll, guild members can only vote once, including mods and myself. I have no way of affecting the vote count. Members caught voting multiple times with multiple accounts will be banned. I've done it before. I really don't know any way to make them any fairer. Nono, the WAY it's made up, nothing to complain about! That's really well done. But I got the slight feeling that other people tell all their friends like :"vote for me vote for me !!" ... And that hasn't got anything to do with you of course...

We can't really control people who vote for their friends rather than voting for the pictures based on content. Most of the time I do see the best pictures, in my opinion, winning or getting many votes.

(: Well, so am I. 3nodding I'll admit, doing top 10s is really hard, but voting is easy. There's usually one pic that stands out from the rest for me. Btw, Meerkatje: I'm pretty sure I voted for you at least a couple of times this month. Your pictures are always really good, so if you haven't won yet I'm sure you will eventually.

Unfortunately, the amount of active members in the guild has really gone down. We used to have 40-50 people vote in the polls in the first day alone. Now, we're lucky if we get that many at all.

And them two gals was ready to join last month, but you diodn't ahve the drawin contest again. I still showed 'em this months.

Just because I really like someone doesn't mean I'll vote for them if their photo's crap. If I'm friends with someone on Gaia, I'll show them in other ways, like PMing them, or drawing them little pictures and stuff. I don't pay attention to who the picture was taken by when I vote.
