Vincent's demenor erupted into almost fury in front of her. "You won't take my gift? I only care for you, want the best I can do for you. I trapped myself in undeath, and can't die of my own will. If you wont take it, I'll force you to take it." Adding to the terror of this moment, the shadows still surrounding them slowly took the shape of everyone who lived in the manor, including those departed into death in ages past. Each of them either marred by the cause of thier deaths, or marked with the torments they held in their lives. All of their voices cried out to her, begging her to let go, while remaining motionless on the sidelines. Kicking the corpse of Aurahkah aside, Vincent advanced on her slowly. "Maybe you'll kill ME too. Set me free from my torment. Only one of us will recieve peace today."

Nailah nodded at the dragon. "Not a problem. I was happy to help." She watched as he switched the eggs and smashed his. Her eyes went wide and she realized that finally the contest was over. She sighed with relief. "Eclipse...where is Aura? She did her shadow thing and we haven't seen her since."

Vincent's expression clearly calmed at her accusation. "You're right. I am selfish. I've always been, right up until I came here with you. Now I've been worried about you. The voice of your father, the troubles around you... they all cause you pain. I just wanted you to get away from it all. But I know you won't do that willingly." He walked up to her, close enough to feel her breath if his skin could still feel. In his hands he held the sai that the other Aurahkah had held, and pressed it against his ribs. "Then I must be selfish again, if I can't set you free, then please do it for me. I cant watch you like this any longer. Take my life."

Now the very same doppleganger demon she was once defiant against, was trying to justify what he wanted for her, even quilting her into it. Even though she knew it wasn't her Vincent, she couldn't bring herself to end his life. She stepped back from him. "My pain is my own...if I've learned one thing, it's that our pain and misfortunes are what shape us into who we are. Without it, I wouldn't be who I am now. You can help lessen it, but you can't take it away for me. You think death will do that for me? Look at what you're asking of me now. Seems pains still plague you as well. And you ask me to take your life...what do you think that will bring to me, pleasure?No. Instead I'd be with an emptiness...a void that would be nothing but pain. Pain that would never stop." She reached a hand out and grasped her sai, drawing it away and back to it's owner.

Eclipse looked to Vincent and Nailah. "Bring her. No harm if she stays close to us." The wolf wrenched himself from the floor, unsteady slightly. Then walked up to stand next to the vampire. "Well? Let us go..." That said, he shadow walked into the all too familiar shadow plane.

Vincent looked down at her with a snort rolling his eyes" fine, but don't wonder to far away from us, I don't want you to wonder too far away, i don't want to have to rescue you as well" He sighed closing his eyes fading into the all too familiar darkness. His hand grasped around her wrist as his voice called out of the darkness" like I said, don't wonder off." he turned to the wolf he had appeared next to" lets go" with that he started walking deeper into the black oblivion.

Nailah rolled her eyes, "Yeah like I'm goign to wander off in a strange world where I have no power and no idea where the hell I am. That would be one of my more brialliant moments, to be sure." She rushed to keep up with his pace as he pulled her along by her wrist. Her eyes went wide as she was sucked into the darkness. She looked around at the swirling shadows and was suddenly speechless. "So this is what shadow walking is like. It's like a whole other world." She was quiet for a moment, then she said, "I know I'm new and all but couldn't Aura be anywhere in here? How are we going to find her?" She gestured to the large mass of mist swirling around them.

"Then why cant I have the same choice to die as I please? I've lived an age with my immortality. I want that peace I cant get for myself. And look around you, does anyone here in my world look like they will share my burden? No one here but lingering pain that swells until your mind collapses. You killed Saradin in defense, must you make me attack you as well to kill me? Spill my blood, and set me free."
