Dulce lifted his head towards the gentle yet upbeat music coming from another side of the room. His eyes would have darkened at its happy tone, had it not have been for the young vampire beside him, eyes seeming alight with more glee than annoyance.
He decided he was thirsty and stood, stretching his arms high above his head to remind the muscles that they were to work and work well, should he need them.
He looked down at Aten, an emotionless expression on his pale face. "Thirsty, boy? I'm sure they serve fresh blood somewhere around here. After all they supply enough for my regular."
He slowly made his way to the bar counter, ordering a tall glass of fresh blood for the vampire, and a deep red wine with just a tiny sanguine hint for himself. Upon receiving the drinks he set the glasses down in their respective places, gave a small excusing nod to Aten and began to follow the music he had heard.
Surprisingly enough it led him to a young woman. An angel, no less. He had heard the entire "angels playing harps" cliché since angels began their existence, but he had not expected there to be any truth in this. Though this young woman was no ordinary angel, as he noted to himself upon observing the darkness in her feathered wings.

Rihara followed Kain back to the bar, pulled up a chair next to him and deposited a number of coins on the table. She signelled Organ and ordered her usual and a re-fill for Kain. Turning to Kain, she rested her hand gently on his shoulders:
"I can never thank you enough for what you are doing for me, I don't wish to cause you any pain...but I understand as a paladin you are in a way doing your duty.."

Kain downed the pint he was drinking and took hold of the next in order not to be rude. He looked at her simply "That would be correct Cecilia created all life" he quoted from the holy book he had to read as part of his paladin studies. He sighed as he looked into the orangeish liquid and then withdrew his pipe, he prepared it then lit it and blew a poof of smoke "I suppose it would make snese for me to learn more about you Rihara" he stated more then asked.

"Aaaah so you are basically going to use me as a research topic? I'm unsure whether to be flattered, or mildly insulted..." Rihara said, a small smile tugging at her lips. Secretly Rihara was anything but insulted, Kain was not a bad looking Neko, and how many daemons could say they were OFFERED and energy source?
Though she would not admit it, Rihara's respect for paladins had grown upon meeting Kain. Perhaps not all of them were pompous, prayer spewing, self-righteous, do-gooders... *cough*

"I might aswell take my seat in the dark corner of the bar again. Seems the demon gal does not like me. Ah, well," said Arimwen with a smile on his face. He staggered back into the bar. He was still feeling the heavy amount of drinking he had before, but the demon he held in his ring or atleast the transforming into that demon drainned alot of it to fast. It put a damper on his drinking for a long while.

Rihara noticed the Deamon Hunter take his usual place at the back of the bar, and cast him a slightly sympathetic look. She had accepted his apology, and was wondering why he still looked like he would willingly disappear? Giving Kain a quick hug around the neck, Rihara picked up her chilled water and walked over to where Arimwen was sitting, pulled up a chair and sat down opposite him, her tail twitching slightly.

"Not trying to go away. I just always enjoyed the darkness. You see it hides me from the world. The world that hates me." Said Arimwen with a bit of sadness. "I am evil to them for what I have done."

Rihara sighed:
"Look, you were just fulfilling what you were taught to do, and I'm sure many deamons deserved to die...please don't let guilt destroy you." She said in earnest while looking at him with her blue eyes.
"I've killed many people in my lifetime, and I was simply doing what I have to do, just as I'm sure you did at times."

Aten was happy to be looked after in this fashion, it made him feel safe. Slowly sipping away at the sweetly warm blood that Dulce had brought him, Aten decided he would like to play in the snow, there was no real reason for this, except maybe to make up for lost time. Aten had never had a chance to be really childish, to have a childhood, this was his chance.
Looking over at Dulce as he finished the last of his filling blood, Aten slowly left the table and headed outside, un-noticed. Opening the door to see a few strangers he slipped past them to an empty area few hundred meters away from the bar.
Smiling softly at all the snow that lay before him, Aten jumped into it, arms wide open.

"It is hard for me. I judged them for being evil because of what they were. In the end was I the true evil, and they the lesser? Or was I just a fool that charged in with no reason and layed down a verdict," said Arimwen with a half hearted smiled. "I will never know. I say the worlds hates me, because they see the creatures I killed as still being human, the vampires as still being their friends, the werewolves when they turn back into their human for after inherited silver touchs them and burns threw to their hearts and kills them as still being their brothers. You know the only thing people find evil that truly is not in is a banshee. It mourns the dead of a household, nothing more. It is a mournner of the dead. Yet, I was hired to kill one once and refused."

Soirka flicked her eyes upwards and noticed the incubus was watching her. She smiled and then watched her fingers playing over the harp strings gracefully before looking up again. She twitched her wings slightly, causing a feather to fall to the ground. "May I help you?" she asked in a slightly seductive tone, she knew what the creature was thinking by te way he was looking at her wings but she wanted him to voice it.

"Well you've just proven that you do have a conscience and a knowledge of right and wrong. You could have killed the Banshee and pocketed the gold, but you decided to spare her because she was innocent. Only the truely righteous can do that. I can understand the pain you must feel for being hated wherever you travel, we are similar in more ways, you and I, though my reasons for killing are far less justified..."
Rihara looked away briefly, but maintained her composer, thinking of her rather emotional friend, Aduro, and how she was starting to sound more and more like him. She should probably go back and see him soon, he was probably hanging around the Cathedral as always..the giant wet blanket that he was!
At this thought a small smile appeared on Rihara's face..

"True enough," said Arimwen with a bit of a smile. "I have always been the kind to see the trueness of heart, or so I have been told. I killed those who dissevered to die, but never thought about how it would effect others. I guess a heart of stone, and the sight of the light conflict against each other a lot."

Dulce smiled a deep, simple smile, one that showed his interest in the seducing music. He gave a small, polite bow towards the angel.
"I'm afraid not, dear lady, for it is the mere love of music that has tempted my ear and drawn me to your presence. If there would be anything I would ask of you, it would be that you play, play to your heart's content, play the sweet yet passionate music that has led so many astray."
He surveyed the room for a moment, and noticed that his newfound sanguine-influenced friend was no longer seated at their table. Dulce shook his head slightly; perhaps Aten had seen it as a chance to escape? It wouldn't surprise him; not that he minded. After all, he liked prey that he could chase.
He eyes soon fell upon the succubus not far away, having what looked like a civilised discussion. Although Dulce found this odd, he knew it was not uncommon in this bar, and thought nothing more of it.
Though there was something about that woman, something familiar. He felt as if they had at least exchanged glances once before, a long time ago.

Soirka felt like she wanted to cry, she watched him walk away and bowed her head to the harp so no one would see the tear that leaked out. She was so used to people judging her that she found it touching that she'd found one person in this god-forsaken world that hadn't judged her.
