"Me have an officer position, no Captain in thier right mind would ever premote me further than able seaman. Im not really looking for any particular position. Im just gonna do what I do best and see where is takes me. But you know what would be fun? If I could learn to play a musical insterment and be a moral booster for the crew ya know? I dont want to be a captain to much preassure to many people wanting to talk to you about problems, not for me Im just part of the crew and that's all Ill ever amount to be." Samuel said this all with a smile, but the truth was he didnt beleave in himself, well as a pirate anyways. He was very proud of himself in his other trade option.

Mariko watched as Avelop climbed up the riggings into the Crow's Nest with the dexterity of a monkey or squirrel. What was it- that was surely magic! No one could do that- that was like flying!

She stared, slack-jawed, at the rapidly disappearing figure, flying, ascending, soaring upwards.

Only birds could fly though! Humans didn't, humans could swim a bit and walk around and avoid her, but humans DID NOT FLY!

...But that man was flying-

Mariko steeled herself and ran to the rigging. She could do that. Mariko grabbed the rough, scratchy ropes and recalled the memory of Avelop springing up the roping. She tried to mimic him and got up a few feet, but then the shock of seeing herself rising like that caused her muscles to fall slack-

CRASH.

Tracey put his arm around Tia to share his strength with her to help prevent her from falling. "Tia, I care for, I am only glad I can do something to help." He wished he could do more, that he could take away her pain.

He gave the ship deck one last look before turning back to Tia, his priory at the moment. He wanted to be sure that she didn't fall over.

Her rear end fazed but her courage and wits fine as always, Mariko glared upwards at the rigging.

She was skilled at cannons. She could make a 10-meter range extend well to 25 meters. She could hit a fleeing ship with evasive maneuvers.

But she could not climb up the damned ropes!

"Garrr," she snarled and hurled herself face-first at the rigging attached to the mast. She hauled herself up- One foot above deck. Two feet.... Three...

It was ten feet above deck that she remembered she was terrified of heights and that caused her to fall a lot-

"LOOK OUT BELOW, DAMMIT!" Mariko screamed, but then corrected herself.

"ACTUALLY SOMEONE SAVE ME!"

Tia blushed slightly from his touch and she smiled slightly from his words.
~Care for me?Is that what he was going to say?~ Tia asked herself as she tried to concentrate on the steps. She almost fell a few times but steady herself worried that he might fall if she did. As they reached the bottom she looked about.
"Where do you think a good cabin would be? The first ones here so I can be up deck first?" Tia had never had her own cabin not ever so even though she didnt feel well she wanted to make the right choice.
Suddenly the idea struck her was she going to like sleeping alone? she never had before her entire life was she going to beable to deal with it.
"Umm Tracey....Can you get the cabin next to mine....see Ive never once slept in a room by myself and...." Tia felt silly now the weakness must be making her lips loose.

Samuel's attention was finall brought to the attention of the lass up in the riggings calling for help.
"Hold on ma'am Im a comming." Samuel though overly tall and bulky he shot up the riggings like a spider monkey till he was up beside the girl.
Holding on with only one hand he motioned for the girl to hold on to him in a hug like position.
"Come on Ill get you down."

Not only had Tracey not realized he hadn't finished his thought, which could have something to do with the fact that thinking about what he was going to say while saying it wasn't the best idea for concentration. It seemed Tia just had the ability to affect him like that, to cause him to loose concentration some times and almost become tongue tied. Pulling himself back into complete control of his thoughts, not a moment too soon because she had begun talking.

As he listened to her, he was a bit relieved, now he didn't have to worry about the cabins next to hers being filled already. He answered when she finished speaking, his eyes on her, "The first ones near the stairs are the ones that stand the greatest chance of getting wet in a high storm when the doors to the top deck cannot be closed in time." In case of a fire, he thought, being closer to the stairs would be a boon. Thinking through any other dangers, he concluded that unless the reckless people are allowed candles, that fire should not be the bigger of the worries, "One a little further down would still put you close to the stairs but save you from having your boots floating around your cabin." He honestly wasn't trying to joke.

Now, to deal with her other question. Really, he wanted to offer for her to just stay with him, he could build another hammock just as easy; however, he wasn't sure if the captain would approve. On many of his ships, the captains didn't like crew of opposite genders sleeping alone in the same room. So he answered her, not looking away, "I will get a cabin right next to yours." Smiling to her he adds, remembering that nightmare she had had the night before, "That way if you ever need me, I'll only be a door away." He wanted to be right there, but to be proper and stay with what he thought the captain would approve of, he would settle for being a door away.

Marey glanced around her, at the scene that was now... her life. It was different. Very different. She leaned against the side of the Aurarius, and stared down at the dark waves lapping against the ship's sides. She stared farther, her gazing seeking to penetrate the darkness that was the water. Instead, she found herself staring at the reflection of herself, which gazed up at her boldly through the rippling of the water, the sky a magnificent backdrop in the water.

The water. It was something she had thought little of before, and now, she was a pirate. The thought seemed somehow alien. Of course, how could it not be? She had grown up in a world where women stayed home and men were businessmen. This wasn't that world here, and it all was new. She'd have to learn it somewhere along the way.

She looks down at the floor, "See, you don't trust me," she says in a sad tone. She wraps her wings around herself appearing as if she was hugging herself in sadness. "I knew you didn't like me," she says through pouted lips, small but noticeable sniffs came from her, as forced tears rolled down her cheek. She hoped that the sad act would cause Aiden to buckle with guilt, though it was a long shot.

She didn't want to have a 'normal' person's job, because most jobs on a ship took strength and she had plenty of it, but the strength of a Dragon-Kin often made people scared, and she really didn't want to be on a ship where everyone was scared of her, especially when she usually wouldn't want to be on a ship at all.

"Ok well why dont you choose sence you know more about it then I do." Tia giggled slighty at the though of her boots floating about.
She was releaved when Tracey agreed to get the cabin next to hers although she almost wished she could just share one with him. He was trust worthy she knew that already having spent one night alone with him, but she couldnt bring herself to ask such a thing.
"Thank you Tracey it means alot I hope......" As she started to finish her sentence her legs finaly gave out. With a yelp she started to fall.

Avelop ran over to where samuel had Mariko, he asked ''Are you okay? I'll come help you, It's hard to climb like that.'' He shot up the rigging, similar to samuel and said to samuel, ''I'll help carry her, It's a long fall and It's a lot harder to climb while holding someone. You okay ma'am,''He turned to Samuel ''We need to get her checked out, doesn't look like anything but I'm not a medic, better safe then sorry.'' He helped Samuel carry Mariko down the rest of the rigging. It 'was' harder to climb while holding someone, and sam must of had the full blast of it for a while, ''Sam, your arms okay, this is serious stuff, so Iwant you to get it checked out.'' He then realized he must sound lke he's crazy. He then said, ''Im only being crazy because on my last ship, my friend broke his arm on the rigging, I suppose it's only ten feet but hey...''

"Im fine the question is, is the lass alright?" Samuel was a very large built man he would have been fine without help, but was thankfull for it anyways.
"Its alright, but calm down Avelop. Its ok to be worried for others but look at me." Samuel flexed abit.
"I workout all the time Im not about to break my arm carrying a wee lass down the riggings, but thank you for your help either way." Samuel could see they had good promise of becomming buddies which was good seeing as they would be working with each other. "One thing though either call me Sammy or Skull Ive never really liked the name Sam. Its so dull."

''I understand that you probably don't need to be looked at, I wouldn't myself, But the lass, sorry, um, I think its Mariko... Yes Mariko might need something, better to be safe.'' He realized he had repeated myself. ''Sorry about my repetition.'' He laughed, ''I've got some rum onboard, I'll check with the captain, If the captain gives the go ahead would you like to join me?'' He looked at Mariko, ''I would ask you too, but you might not be interested. Your welcome to come.''

He manouvered Mariko around a bit, so less weight was on his arm, and he could climb easier, ''Skull, Are you any good at fighting, What weapon do you have? with a name like skull you must scare people, can you do the saeme in battle?''

''Darned, this is taking to long, she might need help really badly.'' he shouted, he wondered how to get some attention, he aimed his musket to the sky and shot it into the sky it wasn't lound enough to notify the captain, only enough to notify someone on the deck there was trouble if that, ''I hope someone heard it, we're climbing to slow if she's in any immediate danger. He swung his musket back on his back and continued climbing at a slightly faster pace.

He couldn't hear anyone moving to come help, but he hoped someone would, and soon.
