"I'm used to anything along the lines of 'an animal', elf, girl, or even THING. But I will not answer to them. Marin is my name. M-A-R-I-N. Really, Saro, please go tell him, Cyric, that I'm really sweet and would like to go on a...a...a...date with him."

"Figure it out," said Rrazpe as he reached his room. "If my eyes are red when I'm around an angel, and they're purple most of the time..." He opened the door and headed in, and before shutting it said, "You'd better get to your room..." Ikaran landed behind Saro in his immaterial state, and then 'revealed his light.' He said, "Miss Saro, I feel some of your..." and then paused, as if allowing her to interrupt on purpose.

Cyric sighed and left, for once doing what was suggested to him. "Marin..." she warned, then looked to the angel. "My what?" she asked, to let him continue.

"Ha, very funny." Marin said sarcastically to Ikaran. She thought, He shouldn't have been eavesdropping. I could sense him but didn't want to worry you. Well, I sensed something. She looked at Saro worriedly before she started to descend for the stairs.

"They are. Two of my brothers and sisters are here. But please, say what you were. I doubt it would phase them, anything you said about them. I won't care." she said cautiously.

"It runs in the family." she said automatically, immediatly regretting it. Seeing Merrin's discomfort, she thought, Cyric isn't that much different than me. Don't worry. hoping Merin would hear.

"You and your...well, the one that came here sooner than them don't seem to have inherited it." he said. "In general, that sort of thing is from a full series of choices, though sometimes they start from just one. In any case, you may warn them against trying anything with me.
