kendra woke up shortly after tokai left, one amber eye opening slowly, then closing again as she yawned. she sat up, her long hair tumbling over her face as she did so, and groaned. she pushed the hair out of her eyes, then pulled a hairbrush out of seemingly thin air and began to brush her masses of raven-black hair with it. hakari uncurled himself and stretched, yawning, out on the furs, then got up and sat watching kendra. "morning hakari." kendra said sleepily. -morning princess.- he replied quietly, -any more dreams of slayer?- kendra shook her head. "no, none. i think they've stopped for now. i hope so, anyway." she stood up and stretched, finished brushing her hair. i wonder if tokai's still sleeping? she thought, motioning to hakari for him to take his usual place on her shoulder.

kendra walked quietly out of her cave, her footsteps light so that she didn't wake anybody still sleeping. she stopped at tokai's cave and peeked inside, but tokai wasn't there. he must be awake already. she thought with a smile. she walked back to her own cave, and once there she sighed and looked around it's gloomy walls. "this place has little light in it...." she complained in a whisper to hakari, "i want to go outside. but tokai's already up, and i don't want to disturb him if he wants to be alone." hakari grinned and pointed to the back of the cave. -just make a small hole there and crawl out of it. you can easily fill it up later.- kendra smiled and said, "it sounds like a good idea to me. i just hope tokai won't mind." she knelt at the back of the cave, turning human fingers into sharp dragon claws. her claws cut through the rock as easily as if it was butter, and soon she had made a hole just big enough for her to get out of. she wriggled through the hole and stood up as soon as she was outside in the fresh morning air. she looked up at the sky and smiled, bright amber eyes dancing wickedly in the dawn sunlight. "let's have some fun today, hakari." she said cheerfully, then added, "but first i need i need to wash. hakari, go to the hole i made and stand by it to check that no one's gonna come and see me not wearing anything, please." after hakari left, kendra took all her clothes off and carefully waded into the stream, using her large dragon wings to keep most parts of her hidden decently. once in the middle of the stream she stopped and sank down lower in the water. gods, it's really COLD in here!!! she thought feverishly, and began to wash herself without letting her wings get in the way.

kendra's amber eyes opened in a flash, and she whirled round in the water to face tokai, her wings tightening around her body. "erm.....morning tokai." she said shyly, preferring to look down at the water's surface than look up and let tokai see the deep blush covering her face. what is he doing here?! she thought, panicked, i didn't think he'd see me like this.....this is so embarrassing!

kendra looked up at him and smiled slightly. at least he was trying to have a normal conversation. "um...yeah, actually, i did sleep pretty well for me." she said softly, then added, "i didn't dream of slayer any more thankfully." she looked around her a little bit, not quite sure of what to do with herself. tokai's sudden appearence had flustered her.

kendra chuckled suddenly and looked away from him. the both of them, being in this situation, being so toungetied with each other, seemed funny to her. she grinned and flicked him with some water from the stream, then looked up at him, her bright eyes mischevious once more.

kendra gasped as she got splashed with yet more cold water, then giggled. she regarded tokai for a moment, amber eyes gentle, thinking. he's like a good friend to me.....but obviously more too. my feelings for him are so mixed, it's starting to confuse me. she smiled wickedly at tokai, wrapping one wing more firmly around her so that it hid more of her. then she flicked open the other wing, sweeping it through the stream and then splashing tokai with a cold wall of water.

Tokai laughed again as the water swept over him. He was having fun. He hadn't had proper fun in a long time. And it was thanks to Kendra. He really liked her, but how did she feel about him? That was his main question, but he wasn't about to ask it now. He grinned mischieviously as his eyes glinted. A wave of water sprung up behind Kendra, and overshadowed her, before crashing down on the pair of them.
