Calli walks onto the high roads and over to the group. Seeing the chocabos Calli smiles and watches them for a few minutes. She loved chocabos and loved riding them. Calli smiles again then turns back to the group.

Elizabeth walked slowly, arriving last of the group. Her face displayed a smile of relief at seeing the chocobos. They helped a lot with tactical maneuvers, specially when one's weapon required distance for full efectivity.

Hoelun wasn't far behind Sariel. She was easily identified by her high-pitched squeal of delight.
"CHOCOBOS!"
It was inevitable that the blissful Guado girl would do another little imitation of a bouncy Guado folk dance. "They're so beautiful and elegant! Wow, we're really going to ride them?" she questioned Dars, relentless in her hyperactive assault. "I've never ridden one before because they don't like the Thunder Plains all that much, but I've always wanted to learn!"
Her smile was wide, easily obscuring her glittering green eyes. There was so much she hadn't experienced because she led a rather sheltered life. Now, it felt like all of it was coming down on her at once. She could handle it, if she danced around it.

Lirian watched Hoelun with a grin, he had never seen a chocobo in the flesh before and he was curious about it but he was also a little weary. "ummm ... do they ... buck riders often?" He queried softly of anyone who would hear him.

Calli shrugs and smiling walks over to the large yellow birds. She got to ride often since she lived right by them and since her uncle often needed supplies at the other end of the high roads. "Not if you don't hurt them. They're beautiful birds..." One of the birds lowers it's head and tries to nibble at Calli's blondish brown hair. Calli smiles and swats it away then scratches it's chest right under one of the reign's straps. It lets out a small whistle like screech of happiness and the corner of Calli's eyes crinkle. When she grew up she wanted to be a breeder or if she could she wanted to be one of the great chocabo knights. Living in an inn she had gotten to see and meet many of them and she looked up to them a lot. Calli looks over her shoulder at Dars and raises an eyebrow in question. "So do we get to ride them?"

Dars figured he'd watched everyone and kept them in suspense long enough.
"Yup, we're riding Chocobos, I've already cleared it all so you can just mount and ride! I figured it'd be a nice treat for you Lirian, you've never ridden a chocobo before, have you?"

Lirian looked towards Dars, "No, not before." He was a little worried, for how cute they looked, Chocobo's were kind of scary because they were bigger then he was.

Sariel blinked in confusion at Hoelun's latest outburst, shook his head and went on examining the chocobos. The samurai had notoriously horrid luck when it came to the birds. He either got stuck with one who hated his guts, or his chosen mount would keel over. Hopefully his luck had improved within the time he'd last ridden.
The one on the end seemed promising. Sariel started forward only to find his progess arrested by a firm hold on his ponytail. He craned his neck backward to find that the chocobo behind him was calmly munching on his hair, stareing at him. The samurai tried to walk again...and the bird wouldn't let go. Sairel tried prying the beak open, and still the bird refused to budge. In an act of annoyance, he poked the chocobo between the eyes. It squawked, and let his hai go.
"Ha!" he said to the bird, and was promptly headbutted.
Sairel nearly lost his balance, but stayed upright. He glared at the chocobo--who looked innocently back at him. "Fine." muttered the samurai. "I'll ride you then."

Hoelun walked past Sariel to the chocobo at the end. Hesitantly, she offered her hand to the bird, who nuzzled against the proffered hand in order to scratch beneath his cheek. "Aww, he's so cute!" the Guado purred. She removed her hand for a moment to dig through her pack for something, and was promptly nipped at. Seemed the chocobo wanted more. "You just want cuddles, don't you? You're a good boy, yus you are!"
Sariel probably wasn't imagining it. She was talking to the chocobo he wanted in a baby voice.
(OOC: Hoelun exists just to make people miserable. XD)

Calli smiles at Dars's announcement and scratches her chocabo's chest again, she had already chosen her mount. "Did you hear that? We get to go for a ride." Calli smiles and walks to her chocabo's side and grasps the horn of the saddle and puts one of her feet in the stirrup near her then pulls herself up and swings her other foot over the side into the other stirrup. Calli smiles as she watches Sairel try to choose out his mount and promptly get stuck with another one. Chocabo's were so smart, you couldn't help loving them... Or at least that's what she thought, she doubted Sairel thought the same thing. Calli reaches down and scratches her chocabo's neck as she waits for the others to mount up as well.

Sariel blinked, trying not to crack up.
"You are a strange, strange person..." he told Hoelun, giving her an odd look. The samurai wondered if this was just a thing girls did...

Lirian watched the others in silence, he had no idea which Chocobo to choose; he knew he wouldn't be able to ride an adult one alone and there didn't seem to be any young ones present.

Hoelun blinked her large green eyes at Sariel. For a moment, it seemed as if she was about to be upset, but then she broke into a bright smile. "Animals are just like people, except without the ulterior motives," she said gently as she scritched the bird's bridle. "They're so much more pleasant than the people at home."
