I just wanted to wish anyone who's gonna be hit by Wilma (including myself) a safe time. I'm gonna be out of power for sure pretty soon, so I hope everyone will be back and safe by the time I'm back. =) Stay safe, everyone. heart

NewMayhem I just wanted to wish anyone who's gonna be hit by Wilma (including myself) a safe time. I'm gonna be out of power for sure pretty soon, so I hope everyone will be back and safe by the time I'm back. =) Stay safe, everyone. heart
Things are a little unnerving up here but not too bad.. though I think it might be early still.

I am not, it just doesn't happen very often or ever last.

Oh yeah, I know all about the whole snowing thing in Georgia/upper Florida. And how y'all drive for s**t! rofl
My Mom still loves telling the story of how they were going through the Georgia Mountains and they were closed due to snow - it was only an inch or two - and the cops/rangers were stopping people from going through, but saw the Michigan plates on Mom's car and told her she could go through. blaugh

besides... it isn't like part of the problem with my particular area isn't caused by outsiders... spring breakers can't drive at all, and shouldn't be allowed to for the duration of their stay.
and I love to the story of how my mom started a fire by trying to boil water. good times.

eh, for one week a year this town becomes a tourist trap, with tour busses and a bunch of idiots in cars....and for that week, I try to stay home as much as I can because the brain power of people behind the wheel goes WAY down. xp

well, I get that to the same degree for about 6 months, and then a month off and then the same, but to a lesser degree for another 3 1/2 to four. it's great fun... there are more out of state cars in my town than local ones, almost. it's close to a 1-1 ratio right now.
