its a fantasy, im worried it might turn out like every other "save the world" book though...

ah, well then. The best way to not make a book 'run of the mill' is to use your own life in it. Changed certian things of course, but if you use your own personal experiances, then it will stand out alot more.
Exp. "The rabbit pooped in the pool..." LoL, my rabbit did that the other day, and we still can't get over it! (For the record, the pool was full...)
And if you need help I can probly recommend some books for you to read, that will help. (My uncle is a publisher, and my other uncle has written 3 books, so I get the stories of what, and what not to do.)
