Candy looked at the man who opened the door and remainded quiet and still stayed close to Max as they entered the house. She looked around the house as she grabbed Max's hand out of old habbit.

Max looked at her with a soft smile, Looking up as the man returned holding out a salted beer for Max and a glass of holy water for Candy. Max took his drink and took a gulp. "Now relax old man" Max said holding the beer still. He expected it of course and the silent starter he gave them.

Candy looked down at the glass of water before slowly taking it from the man. She slowly took a sip before looking around the room again. She looked back at Max again as she was still holding his hand.

The man looked at Max "SO tell me Max, what job brought you here?" he walked motioning for them to follow him into the living room. It wasn't much, a book case to one side and books scattered on every surface around. "I see you still don't clean. Kinda cozy here" Max gave a short laugh and cleaned off the couch for Candy to sit. "You remember the job I had with the crystal and its family? I need all info on that job, and every job a hunters had since"

Candy followed Max and the man into the living room while holding the glass of water in one hand and Max's hand in the other. She watched Max clean a spot for her and she couldn't help but laugh lightly. "Thank you Max." She said a little more quiet before taking a seat. When Max brought up the crystal Candy flinched a little. It had been a while since anyone had talked about the crystal in front of her.

"Max, its a long list, it will take a bit to find all the folders. I must ask why?" the man said looking at them from his chair. "If im right about this feeling give had, its not only me, you and Ann that cant find them, its everyone since then. They have been going away, hiding doing something without us knowing. You told me to expect the worst pal and if what I fear is right. Im going to need a lot more then just me and Candy"

"Me? What can I do? What... Is going on?" Candy asked confused on what Max was talking about. She placed the glass of water down on the coffee table and looked at Max, her hand holding his a little tighter as she wanted him to tell her what was going on.

With a sigh he sat down beside her. "When they attacked you just recently Ive noticed there were less and less demon and the such around to hunt. Looking back through the hunts with me and Ann ive seen gradually its decreased since i helped you. Now since a group attacked you im worried they are making plans" Max said as the other male walked around teh room grabbing a book and tossing it on the table in front of them. "the last page is filled with every hunt in the past year. Just one page to record that,normally there can be a few pages ever few months."

" You think they are planning something? Do you think... It may have something to do with the crystal?" Candy asked Max as she looked at him in the eye's. "So what are you going to do about it? How will these records help you?"

"What ones left the most first, and the last ones to stick around and not care for it. Ill see if they have any type of info and look around the area they stuck. They also may help me by telling me where they went to see if they were trying to get other things"

Candy remained quiet as Max spoke, nodding her head slowly when he was done speaking. She wondered why all of this was acting up now and not later. Why attack now for the crystal if that was what they were all after? Would it not of been easier to take from her when she was a child? Either way Candy knew what her job was, to keep the crystal safe and not let it fall into the wrong hands. That was her family's job has been since the crystal was found many, many, many year's ago. So far no monster has been able to get it and Candy was going to make sure it stayed that way. She was the only one who knew where the crystal was as she was the last of her family. "Do what you think is right. I will help the best I can." Candy said to Max, though she wasn't sire how she could help but she would do the best she could for Max.

"All you need to do is keep alive and by my side, I will do everything to make sure you are safe even if I die." Max said looking at her. "I know other's who will care for you if that happens, who can keep you hidden for sometime." As he spoke the other male knocked over a rather large bile of books by them, not close enough to his them but close enough to catch Max's attention.

Candy blushed a little and she shook her head. "You wont ever have to because you wont die... And if you do it will because of old age. Not because of hunting. I will make sure of that." Candy said with a firm nod before smiling at Max. " After all I only want you taking care of me. Beside's you are the only one who could stand me." She said with a slight laugh. When Max first came to take care of Candy she would always run away from him and was a little bit of a brat to him. Never talked to him or wanted anything to do with him the first week.

"You can be a handful, although your not a very strong hunter. You will be learning how to handle yourself more, and ill teach you what I can when we have all the folders we need.We will be fighting a lot of monsters" Max said as he looked back at her relaxing a bit. "Your stubborn so im sure when you get to like learning you'll keep it up." He gave a light laugh at that remembering her running away and being a brat mainly when they first met.

Candy puffed her cheek's out and gave him a glare when he called her not a very strong hunter. " You are lucky I don't have any bombs on me Max..." She said still looking at him with her puffed cheek's. " I am not that bad... I was just testing you to see if you could handle me is all." Candy said as she started to pull his cheek, like she use to do to bug him when she was younger.
