A lot of people fawn over that damn'd doctorate, completely discounting Pibb's years traveling the back roads of the world -- paths rife with peril that, in conquering, serve only to sharpen the adventurer for the future, ever replete with unknown challenges.
Why, I remember back in 19--, he and I were cutting our way through fringe skirmishes in the height of The War... our plane struck down, we were forced to press the frozen ridge on foot. Our goal: the thunder-capped mountain at the heart of the range, and the storm giant who held court at the cyclopean peak. The Occult War-Monks hot on our heels, their bullets -- cut from the dark heart of a an ancient horror -- having crippled my left leg, I was down to using my empty carbine as a crutch. The spare munitions went up with the rest of our craft, and the red streak leading from the wreckage, across sharp rock and drifted snow, would take them all the way up to the dripping gash in my side with no effort at all.
But now, I'm fine. Thank you, Mr. Pibb.
All Dr. Pepper ever did was stay in school for, like... 20 years.
Advantage, Pibb. ninja

I'm going with the Man of Bronze here, I think his increased senses could counter the Shadow's stealth, and he'd win in the straight-up fight.
Vanth Dreadstar

versus
Green Arrow. (Do I really need a wikilink?)

so I read that wiki entry about this Vanth Dreadstar. AAAAAAAAND I gotta say "teh suck". So, for the reasons that he sounds like a just... terrible character, I'm going to go with good ole' Ollie. The first thing that comes up on Google Image search when I type in "caddywompus" vs the second

The first, because "zipang" would make a great sound effect.

Sherlock, if detectiving; Spade, if fighting; Tracer Bullet, if I might add a third party.

And, since Zachary Quinto was cast in the next Star Trek movie, let us consider: Sylar or Spock?

Spock. More people have his back. I secretly want to pick Sylar because I like the character.Baron Samedi from voodoo lore... ...versus Baron Samedi, the James Bond villain.
