And the two men, finally aware of his presence, turned to the man, remaining silent as well. And for a while, all it was, was a blank stare at eachother, until finally, Shane spoke, ''...John?'' He asked, filled with mixed emotions, of happiness, pain, and loss. Was he finally coming back? Was everything going to be back to normal?

''Brother. It seems I've chosen an odd day to end your life. What with you getting married, and all. And to such a strange being. The jinchuriki from the leaf? Do you not remember the old days, when mother told you to stay away from him? When you would treat him with disdain, and see him as a lesser human, like all others? Have you forgotten?'' He asked, an evil smirk filling his face.

Naruto's eyes widened, and he looked at Shane, wondering if this was true. Wondering if he was another enemy of his, another person to torment, and break him even further. To push him deeper into despair. But the man shook his head, and spoke, ''No. You are wrong. I've never treated him like that. I've never pushed him away, and saw him as below us. Do you not remember? Equality was what I believed in. I always have. And you're the one who taught me that. I've never spoke to him before, but in making this village, the cruel treatment I saw being placed on him, kept drawing me back, until I finally decided that I had to see what had happened. And in the end, everything changed. He's happy. I'm happy. Finally, for once, everyone's happy. Regardless of the war. Regardless of all of the stupid assholes trying to screw us up. We're happy. And you should be too. Isn't that what you wanted? My happiness? Did you not say that you would tear open the sky for me, and split the ocean for my survival? So why do you come here, telling me that you want to kill me? Why do you force yourself into the darkness?''

And at this, John simply smirked, and shortly replied, ''Because darkness is the only thing that is real. Your happiness won't last. Your love won't last. Nothing lasts, and my feelings, as well, have faded. I do not care about you anymore. You are a weak disgrace, filling our clans name with disgust. Were we not the heroes? Were we not the saviors of the village? But you have ruined that! Now our name is of disgust, and hatred! We are the people who stole the jinchuriki, and instigated a war! The only happiness that will come is through your death!'' He yelled, and quickly, eight swords appeared behind his back, circling outwards, almost looking like bladed wings. He crossed his arms, and awaited for the first attack.

John nearly flicked his fingers, and an extremely quick strike of lightning began to shoot downwards, on Genesis' position.

Quickly afterwards, Shane sighed, and a suit of armor slowly formed around him, covering him whole. He pulled out his dual blades, and got into a ready stance, as Naruto made handsigns, ''Taijuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!'' He yelled, as a few dozen clones appeared, all ready to fight.

Shane turned to Tomoya, ''DERP.''
