Jin grinned from ear to ear, imperceptibly wiggling her tails around to keep her balance.
"Excellent, m'lord! Do I get to play?"
Play usually meant mass pain for someone of some sort, or somethin similar. Usually.

Arkus managed to keep from snorting in annoyance. He was not the head of this operation and he needed to act as a good subordinate should. Despite his feelings otherwise. The Eronus, lounged in his seat as he watched the slightly twitching Prime.
"Time for what, pray tell? Our quarry's ship vanished several hours ago. We've been scouring the system and the only anomaly is a very large hole where a star used to be. Looks like a blind jump through a supernova." He chuckled.
"Hell, there are some of MY kind who wouldn't attempt that. Myself beign an exception of course." He grinned wickedly, his wings shifting slightly as he settled into a more comfortable position.

Primes form shifted into his evil state and stayed that way. Looking at Arkus, a blue glow came about him. Prime lifted his hand and pulled him closer.
" Meaning... You have FAILED ME! " Prime sent a charge into Arkus. His dark power surged. He turned to Jin.
" You two have been sitting around WASTING TIME!!! " He picked her up as well. As Prime yelled out in anger the ships systems started failing.
" Now tell me... how you going to fix this hrmm? " Prime looked at the two.

Jin's eyes flashed red for a moment, but she managed to reign her temper in. There wasn't much use in arguing when he was in one of these moods. She figured that, for the moment, the best way to go was to play the scared little lackey. Which she was, in a way, but that wasn't the point.
"I-I don't know m'lord! We couldn't get there fast enough, it really wasn't our fault! The only thing that could make something like that is a full power, life-draining blast from an energy controlling species of some kind. It had to have been them! They might have known we were coming!"
She forcibly kept a smile off her face as she continued.
"I know for a fact my sister and her lot were on board that ship, sir. She may have alerted them to the fact we were on our way."
Either way, hopefully this'll take a bit of the heat off my a**.

Arkus's body flashed out in a blaze of red as the charge hit him. He reappeared standing a few feet from where he had been pulled. His arms were crossed and he looked ...annoyed.
"Really, Prime. Toasting your subordinates is a poor means of discipline or encouragement." His wings shifted again, knocking what appeared to be soot off in small clouds.
"As Jin said, they may have been alerted to the pursuit. And as for blowing up the star..." He frowned.
"There are only two beings with them that would be able to do something like that. And it would leave that person significantly weakened for a goodly amount of time." He grinned, showing his fangs, his eyes flickering.
"In other words, they are weakened." He glanced over at Jin. "Also, as near as I could tell from your current forces, none of them would have done as much as we have. And if they HAD caught up to the Cerberus, it is doubtful that they would have been able to accomplish much. Even with Starfire or Mithrian down, they are a formidable group." His eyes returned to Prime.
"So I would ask that you ahve patience and trust in our ability to do the damn job."

".... Ha haha... HA HA HA! HA HA HAAAA! " Prime laughed evily as he slowly stepped to Arkus. He held up a fist to his side. Charges of blue sparks jumped around his hand. He slowly raised it to Arkus and opened it. The sparks stopped.
" Its refreshing to have some one with backbone. " His form shifted back to being collected.
" One thing, dont undermind me. I am in charge for a reason. " Prime grinned.

Arkus smirked.
"Of that, I am certain. And I have no plans of undermining at all. As I mentioned earlier, we have some common goals." He returned to his chair and lounged once more. He glanced at some of the electronics in the lougne, sparking and smoking from Prime's outburst and sighed.
"I'm going to go do a diagnostic ont his heap's main systems. We may have to get some repairs done. At least enought o help us find that meddlesome bunch." He stood and strode out of the lounge, heading for the cockpit. He swore heavily in several different languages as he began working.
"And my superiros wondered why I dislike ships. Honestly, too much damn trouble..."

Prime looked at the damage. " I have some one that can fix this and will be joining you. You remember Yang dont you Gin? " From behind Prime a shadow stepped forward. His mask clicked and wurled as it folded back. Yangs face was cut up. He looked pissed as hell. Looking to Prime he bowed. He turned to the others and scoffed. " Master... i dont need these fools. They will do nothing but get in my way. " " Yang... " Prime gave him a cold look. " ... Yes master. "

Jin pouted as cutely as she could manage, somehow looking hurt but amused at the same time.
"Aw, Yang, I'm hurt. Normally you find me useful for a lot of things."
It would be obvious to Arkus she was forcing herself not to smile.

Yang scoffed as lightly as he could.
" Useful as targets... "
Prime stomped making the ship shake.
" ENOUGH! You come back with heads... or dont come back at all. Your payments depend on it. "
Prime vanished as his form turned to smoke and seeped out of the ship. Yang looked over Arkus.
" And you are? "

Jin smiled sweetly and, oblivious to the obvious danger of doing so, threw an arm around Yang's shoulders.
"Oh come on Yang, you remember about three months back down at the officers' mess. You had a few too many...a lot of people had a few too many..."
She was grinning now.
"You can't honsestly say I wasn't useful for something at that point, can you?"

Jin purred loudly and grinned at Arkus.
"I hope you don't mind me sharing this lovely stuff you let me try, Arkus."
She picked up an empty glass and poured Yang a nice bit of the strong alcohol Arkus had been giving her.
"Here ya go."

Yang snatched the cup and slugged it down. He looked strait for a moment and steam rushed out his noes as he breathed out.
" .... Not bad. " He said moving to sit down.
" When we moving? " He held up his cup.
