"Well, this just looks bad. It really isn't. That's how head wounds like this work. There are just a hell of a lot of vessels and stuff in your face. Makes it look worse than it is. Or, something like that." Soren grinned confidently. Anatomy was one of the few classes he really paid attention in during high school.

"But stillll Mr. Genious. It's a worrying thing." she said punching him on the arm lightly. Yawning again she stretched, "Tired but too cold to sleep." she said with a giggle lieing across the couch. "Chek out the sky in picture form, not the same but . . . okay I guess." she said holding up the picture.

"No matter how great the artist, nothing can be recreated from nature." He sat back on the floor and leaned on the couch. "The most beautiful things are the ones no one can recreate." He stretched again and sat there, looking up at the ceiling.

"That's true." whispered Kia following the thread pattern of the couch. She relflected on some of the things she did before she got there to an actual vacation. "Funny how things change so easily. Well actually . . . it isn't funny at all."

Soren shrugged. "It all depends on what happened. Or how you see things. When I got kicked in the head, I laughed about it. Once I really thought about what had happened, I just thought it was funny." He turned his head to see her better.

Kia sighed, "Yeah?" Blinking she forced her eyes shut first then opened them again wiping her eyes before a tear tried to force it's way out with no avail.

"Yeah. I mean, it hurt, but when you get over that and think about everything that happened before the pain, it gets to be a tolerable thing. It sometimes even gets funny." He saw her wipe at her eyes, but thought better of letting her know. He didn't want to make a friend cry.

Soren turned and patted her arm. "Just don't think too much about it. I'm not even making sense to myself right now, so I'm going to hop in the shower and get some sleep, unless you don't think I should go to bed yet. Then I'll just redress and come back out here." He smiled as he stood up and walked to the bathroom closest to his room.

Kia laughed sitting up good as new as if nothing was wrong, "No, you should sleep." she said heading to her own room and shutting the door. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep in the comfortable bed.

"Thank you for getting off of me," Hector told Kia before she had left to go to her room. She was oblivious to the fact that Hector had already sat down on the couch.

Ren finally got to the house and started to catch his breath. He slumped an arm on Hector's shoulder and gave him an evil grin.
"So Evan, just who's idea was it to ditch me at the theatre? Couldn't have been you, could it? Well really, you're the only one still out here to berate so I don't have much of a choice."

After ten minutes in the shower, Soren slipped on some green pajama pants and a large t-shirt. He toweled his hair until it was mostly dry as he walked out to the living room. He waved at Hector and Ren. "Night guys. Don't kill each other. Blood is a very difficult thing to get out of cloth."
