So I just came out to my whole class today.... it was... awkward. It was video class and my video was about transsexualism. It's hard to deny that you're a transsexual after you make such a video. After I played it everyone was silent. A few people commented about the components of the video. My teacher, who was really interested in the concept actually asked people to comment on it. She picked one guy out and asked him but he said he had nothing to say about it. I guess people don't like to talk about the idea of gender and such even in art school. How disappointing.
I'm now motivated to make yet another trans video. This one was really tame because I didn't want to make anyone feel awkward. But I still expected some response to it. So for my next video I think I'm going to make it really extreme and out there. I want to make people really think and react. If I shock people, all the better. It will be really in-your-face and no one will be able to say nothing. I will explore all the thought processes I go through on a daily basis and the thoughts I find are the same with many trans people. Things like "do I pass?" and "am I trans enough?" I'm actually really excited.
I don't want to make transsexualism an element in my art. I had planned on making an entirely different movie next that had nothing to do with it, but after today I just want to expand on it like crazy. It's funny. I was talking to a girl today about how there are two students in the school that I could say one short phrase about them and anyone would know who I meant. "The girl who is always on the phone" [she even took a phone call during our midterm exam today] and "the guy that doesn't wear shoes" [he started wearing shoes but we still know him as that] She wondered if we would ever be known as someone who stood out in our school. [which is hard to do in art school] I chuckled because I have a feeling everyone will know me as "the transsexual." Not such a glorious title as "the guy who doesn't wear shoes" but I guess it's something.
P.S. the guy that doesn't wear shoes is really hot >.<

C is much more creative than E. E is boring. If I could vote just between the two I would give it to C.

It's funny because I'm in acting class right now, and I was driving home last night, and I was thinking of doing a trans video as one of the projects. Then I just figured I would never have the guts to do it and show it to the class. I just tend to have trans elements in my art, and no one questions it or says anything. But that's really cool. I would think more people would have had comments, ESPECIALLY since you go to an art school, you know? I find that really weird.

Hehe thanks. Yeah.. it was really awkward. I think the whole class was happy to forget about it when the next video came on. I kind of ran away as soon as class was over. I wrote a bit more about it in my journal.
By the way, how do you pronounce your username?

Hanauri musume... I don't really know how to write out the pronunciation though... it means 'flower girl'. It's so gay. But I used it because I really liked Aerith from FF7. sweatdrop It's my female avatar's name and this one is just a variation of that one, which really doesn't mean anything. I just wanted a guy avatar. Hmm. I haven't really paid much attention to my name... maybe I should change it to something that makes sense. ^^

It has been rather quiet. My trans group got offered to be on Montel. My dad advised me against this, I think because he's concerned about my safety.
I won't be the one to actually go on the show, since I'm the webmaster, but we'll see how it goes.

AKKKK!!!! I have a crush on my best friend Kiwi!!!!! gonk gonk gonk gonk
She has a boyfriend but still!! She is SOOOO pretty and she has always been therefor me. Sh was also the first person I came out to as both Bi and Trans. For the past 4 years we have been each others support through everything. I want to just tell her or something...but I don't want to ruin our friendship. Plus I think my boyfriend might get a bit mad if he found out that I told her. I don't know, I mean I really like her A LOT but I would feel really wierd telling her becasue I am VERY VERY involved with 'My Prince' (pet name for my bf) and I feel like just thinking about her is betraying him in some way.
p.s. Kiwi and I went trick-or-treating yesterday and we got a lot of candy ^^. Like I need it, I am fat enough as it is. *hides his own candy* BAD BOY! NO CANDY FOR YOU!

enslavedtoaworld I want to just tell her or something...but I don't want to ruin our friendship. Hollywood would have you tell her, and believe it would all work out in the end. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT DO THAT! You can work up to it if you want, but do it slow. I'm talking continental drift slow. enslavedtoaworld I don't know, I mean I really like her A LOT but I would feel really wierd telling her becasue I am VERY VERY involved with 'My Prince' (pet name for my bf) and I feel like just thinking about her is betraying him in some way. "Trying to keep two torches in the air is a good way to kiss your eyebrows good-bye." Interpret that however you wish.
