He nodded. "Go ahead..but if you take too long I'll come over...the way you say you forget yourself it might happen." he said quietly looking up- why was she so red? What was the big deal anyways?

She nodded her agreement and quickly left the room. Once in her own room, she shut the door- leaving only a crack so that she would be able to open it once she had transformed. 'Okay,' she tried to reassure herself, feeling a bit nervous. Keeping her eye on the crack in the door, she began shifting, wrinkling her nose at the uncomfortable sensation of bones changing underneath her skin.
After a few seconds, she was a cat. Small and mostly white, though her tail and the back of her head were a dark black. She wiggled out of the clothes that were now too large for her, revealing the reason she did not want to shift in front of him. With a dainty paw, she pushed the door open and ran into Jake's room.
She jumped up onto the bed, seating herself so that he could look at her without bending down too far. "Mew?"

He looked over at the cat and smiled down at her. "Eh heh I see...you weren't kidding about becoming a full cat...still I don't see anything wrong yet with your instincts...then again I'm not a mind..." he paused. "We COULD get a mind reader to help you with the losing yourself."

The cat only cocked her head to the side. "Mew," she replied, bringing a white paw up to wipe her face.

She reached out with a paw, careful to keep her claws sheathed, and batted at his hand. "Mew," she replied, looking up at him.

"that's good...so this is what its like to see someone else changed like that..." he took a breath. "It's strange...especially on the other side. And I bet I owe you being something too when I can try...still...if you feel like you lose yourself I think it means you need to be that more often for a bit."

Joan meowed her agreement, rubbing her head affectionately against his hand and beginning to purr softly. Inwardly, she was looking forward to seeing him transform as well. She only hoped he didn't have the same problem with clothes that she had; that would just be embarrassing.

He did have the same problem with clothes- but through the years he actually learned how to change INTO them at least. Well...it would have been easier to see. "Eh heh.." he scratched her head lightly. "Well...think I should wait until you change back or go now? One for wait, two for now."

Kitten-like, she batted at his fingers, claws carefully tucked away. "Mew, mew," she replied, looking up at him with eager golden eyes. She was beginning to see how fun it was to have a fellow shapeshifter.

"Eh heh..." he smiled at her. "Alright...jump down and I'll start...I think I'll um..." he looked at her a moment longer. "Another cat I can try." he didn't know how well it would work but he could give it a shot...he had to try to focus on what he wanted to change into more.

Obediantly, she jumped down, rushing under the bed in order to give him some privacy. "Mew," she told him, signifying that she was ready.

Andrei leaned back in his chair, taking a break in his writing "Hm. Should probably get some dinner" he said to himself "Maybe some take-out Chinese from the nearby place"
