Hi, my username is Random-Gal930, but you can all just call me RG for short. I am a big fan of Jane Austen. I've only read 3 of her books, but she is already my favorite author. I think I'm pretty partial to "Pride and Prejudice," because it was the first Austen book I read and owned. I've already read S&S, as well as Emma. I've already seen three movies based on these novels, as well as the entire BBC adaptation of P&P (with Colin Firth, of course wink )I'm from the Philippines, so it's pretty hard for me to find a copy of Austen's other novels.
I'm pretty excited to join this guild, because I've been looking for other Austen fans for a while now, and my cousins have all teased me for liking "old people books" (I'm just a young teen). So, I hope that one way or another, I can fit in with the rest of the guilld members, and just enjoy. blaugh

Thanks for the warm welcome. Hope I can post a lot soon. My cousin thinks that Keira Knightley's P&P is old (2005), but she's telling me to watch this certain movie on TV right now called Cry-Baby (1990!!) that's almost twenty years old.

You know, if you're having trouble finding books in actual book form, Random-Gal930, you can sometimes find entire classics online. Wow, but to be from the Phillipines! We certainly do have an eclectic guild, country-wise. This makes me extraordinarily happy!
Yeah, people get on my case about loving P&P too much. This has been especially the case since Pride and Prejudice and Zombies came out and I've been reading it...now people think they'd enjoy it, but only with Zombies...it is very faithful in some ways to the original, however.
And the '05 P&P isn't old; I definitely cast my vote in that directon. What about the '40s version with Lawrence Olivier? That must be prehistoric by former logic!

Hey, I am wing1933, most people call me Wing or Wingy. I have read all Austen Novels, her Juvenalia and her partially completed Sandition, and the Watsons. I have seen most adaptations. I have also read a good deal of novels based off of Austen, except the mysteries, I am not into mysteries right now.

Hey, my name is katelyn-marie! You can just call me Katelyn or Marie. Jane Austen is my favorite writer. I am a big bookworm and I have read everything Austen has ever written. I, for the most part, only read novels from the eighteenth and ninteenth century. The books written by Jane Austen were the first I have ever read from the period and Austen got me reading more from the period. Her books the first I ever fell in love with and they still are. heart
