Night kotori and kell ^_^

I wish I could go to a convention... I miss all the good ones. sweatdrop

I've never been on a convention myself crying
Oh really? yay! we're in the same boat then ^_^

So what does everyone think of the new journal feature?

To be honest - nothing; it causes even more trouble on Gaia since they don't even come around to fix the existing problems, let alone deal with new ones, and there are enough journals already existing and in use, so what? Sorry, don't wanna sound rude, but I've been away for some time now, just to find that Gaia has STILL the same problems and glitches when I come back...they wanna go into beta soon? My a**!

hana: Sounds like it's about time to back up some data.... sweatdrop

It's not so much data as the 40 GB anime and 40 GB music I have on here. The 10 GB manga doesn't help much either. >.<

LOL what about buying an additional HDD? They aren't that expensive nowadays...or, alternately, a DVD burner 3nodding

Bye shadows, get better 3nodding

hana: well, you'll save lots of money having that dvd burner, that's for sure (if it's a dual layer you can put 8gb on one disc...that's the equivalent of 10 cd's) - I'll buy one myself next month, for sure (my cd burner is too slow, loud and old)

I definitely want a dual layer one. 3nodding I'm tired of running out of space on my hard drive and having to burn 20 cds to clear it up somewhat.

I think when I get a DVD burner I'll probably burn all my cds to DVD's and give away the cd copies. sweatdrop

I dunno... I mean, I have a 114 GB hard drive, but I fill it up pretty quickly...

Yeah, I know how it is - recently, I found an interesting page with lots of good movies (all horror-related), and since I keep on dl'ing from there my drive space is diminishing rapidly sweatdrop
Plus there are soooo many good games, but they eat up space like there's no tomorrow crying

I don't play games, luckily. sweatdrop But I've been downloading a lot of Korean and Japanese drama series and those are 300 to 700 MB per episode. sweatdrop I'm working on burning this one where only one episode and the subtitle file for it will fit on a cd.

Uh, here's something funny: right now I sat here (sofa, laptop, quite comfy), looked at the thread and thought: 'damn, I'm sitting here chatting with some really nice people in english as if it is the most normal thing to do' - guess Gaia did change me a lot after all; only a year ago I couldn't have imagined that, me talking (or at least writing) english ^^

Is that a problem? In my experience these subtitle files have barely 100k, no problem fitting it to a 700mb episode (or movie) - I have all four Ju-On movies, complete with subs, all around 700mb, no problem (plus with a decent burner you can overburn the cd easily, or get 800mb cds)
