I don't understand the lure of alcohol. It killed my brother and grandfather and rips apart families and lives. I have never drank any and I have no desire to. xp

I wonder what the next evolution of our pets will look like? I wonder if they will have feedable or breedable pets ever?

I got Chibi Robo for Nintendo DS and I am having such fun with that cute little Robo! Anyone else like the Chibi Robo series or not... biggrin heart

Personally, I just realised that I probably should be cutting down on drinking. As it's been the last three, four months, I've been drinking about three times a week. I met a friend of mine who was surprised to find out about that (considering that back when we first met, I didn't drink at all). Actually, the first alcohol I ever drank was beer that she asked me if I wanted to have a taste from (obviously, she had expected me to deny). Of course, I waited to the legal age too (here in Sweden it's 18 though... altough you can't buy most kinds of alcohol until you are 20. Which I am now anyway). Though I rarely get drunk. I know exactly what it takes for me to get smashed (namely half a gallon wine drunk in five minutes), and I also know that my brain works like a CD-player with a scraped record; it works fine, and all the data is there even if not everything is accessible. My awareness is still intact, as is my memory, altough coordination is the way it shouldn't be. In other words, I become annoyed. Strangely enough, I've never had a hangover. Not that I'm complaining though. Still, I'd better start cutting down.

I refuse to have contact with my mother because of alcohol. It ripped my family apart. I will never drink.

the furthest i will go is social drinking. bah. alcohol almost never leads to anything positive.
and those times it does sually are after a long series of unfortunate events

Duncan: You might be killing your brain cells and damaging your liver by doing that. That is how my grandfather died. Too much alcohol through his life caused him liver cancer and death. It only took a moment for my brother to lose control of his car, and kill himself. I am sure he probably thought he was aware enough too..he fried his brain so much from that and drugs. I would cut it out if I were you. *nods* Nothing good comes from alcohol comsumption.

Tanya: I agree with you there. It turned my nice, even tempered brother into a wife and girl beating maniac. It had a stronger hold on him than any of the drugs had because it is so very accessable and accepted. It shouldn't be, I wish we could do away with alcohol altogether...*sigh*

SIN: Social drinking is what ensnared by brother...please rethink drinking altogether. If you have to drink in order to have any fun with your friends...something is wrong. Please think about not doing it. It only takes a moment to lose your life or someone else's..my brother thought it would never happen to him..but it did.

I hope I have not offended anyone, but after what happend to my brother, I just can't stand the 'social norm' of allowing 'social drinking'. *sigh* I want my brother back... crying

Well, I'm going to disagree with you, Neo, altough I understand your viewpoint and do respect it. From what I gather, your viewpoint is stuck on one side of the coin, which makes you blind for a few things, but that's ok. It's not like I think I'd be any different in your shoes. There's no point for me to argue it, since it'd mean I'd either try to make you drink, which would go against my personal beliefs, or me trying to defend myself, which I won't since I have done nothing at all wrong.

'Sides, as far as changing in personality, well, I have a split personality from before, and I've had it the last ten years. A beer or two in the weekend isn't going to change that.

And SIN: Drinking while underage is just plain stupid, even in my opinion neutral
